Wicomico County Fair ribbon cutting, road closure announced

SALISBURY, Md. - The Wicomico County Fair will return to WinterPlace Park in Salisbury Aug. 17-19. This year’s event will celebrate 82 years of fair traditions, and is presented by Perdue Farms and the Pohanka Automotive Group.

The Fair will kick off on Friday, Aug. 17 with the following events:
·       Gravenor Memorial Foot Bridge Dedication: 1:15 p.m., between the Little League field and Carriage House
·       Pete Richardson Carriage House Dedication: 1:30 p.m., in front of the Carriage House facing WinterPlace Parkway
·       Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: 2 p.m., on Blue Ribbon Road near the red barn

To protect the safety of Fair attendees, competitors and vendors, Blue Ribbon Road between Old Ocean City Road and WinterPlace Parkway will be closed Thursday, Aug. 16 at 8 a.m. – Sunday, Aug. 19 at 9 p.m.

  2. Need to cut the vegetation along Hobbs Road at the entrance. Very dangerous. Cannot see oncoming traffic when leaving and trying to turn left. state or county road?
