President Donald Trump lauded the work of ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement), pledging Tuesday evening in West Virginia that the U.S. will not abandon ICE as Democrats want to do.
Trump said ICE and Border Patrol “are doing an unreal job.”
“We want border security. We want security in our country. We respect ICE,” Trump told the Salute to Service event crowd in White Sulphur Springs.
“These are tough people,” the President said of ICE law enforcement. He pointed to the vicious transnational criminal gang MS-13 and others who are illegally in the U.S. because of weak immigration laws.
“All of a sudden you see nests of MS-13,” said Trump. He then said that ICE is driving these dangerous gang members out, “It’s like you’re liberating towns. We send ICE in and for ICE it’s just another day.”
“These guys, they walk into those areas. they take them outta there so fast. They’re not afraid of anything,” said Trump.
The President likened their work rooting out these gang members to “Like in a war, you’re liberating a town or an area.”

Boy Scout Leader Charged with Child Porn Possession
74-year-old James Roberts served as Sicklerville Boy Scout Troop 132’s leader for 40 years before his appalling crimes wereuncovered.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Roberts has already confessed to using a file-sharing program to view, obtain, and distribute child pornography. He was caught by the High-Tech Crimes Unit of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office with multiple devices full of pornographic pictures of children.
In a statement delivered to the New York Post, Kevin Bishop, scout executive and CEO of the Boy Scouts’ Garden State Council, called Roberts’ behavior “abhorrent,” saying that it “runs counter to everything for which the Boy Scouts of America stands.” He also claimed that the allegations against Roberts appear to be unrelated to his work within the organization. The statement concluded:
Nothing is more important than the safety of our youth members. We seek to prevent child abuse through comprehensive policies and procedures to serve as barriers to abuse. These include a thorough screening process for adult leaders and staff, criminal background checks, requiring two or more adult leaders be present with youth at all times during Scouting activities, and the prompt mandatory reporting of any allegation or suspicion of abuse.

Police: Former Teacher Awaiting Sex Trial Caught with Student She Was Prohibited from Contacting
A former Connecticut high school teacher accused of sexually assaulting students was found driving around one of her alleged victims, violating an order prohibiting her from contacting her victims, police said.
Police pulled over Laura Calladio Ramos, 32, of Milford, on June 22 when an officer spotted her driving while talking on a cell phone and discovered an alleged victim of hers had been in the car with her, the Connecticut Post reported.
Authorities charged Ramos, who resigned from her job as a special education teacher at Bridgeport’s Central High School in June 2017, with violating a protective order from the court ordering her not to have any contact with the students involved in the case.

The Other Victims: First Responders To Violent Disasters Often Suffer Alone
The night a gunman fired into a crowd of 22,000 people at the country music festival in Las Vegas in 2017, nursing supervisor Antoinette Mullan at University Medical Center was focused on one thing: saving lives.
She recalls dead bodies on gurneys across the triage floor, a trauma bay full of victims. But "in that moment, we're not aware of anything else but taking care of what's in front of us," Mullan says.
She calls that event, "the most horrific evening of my life." But in a career spanning 30 years, Mullan has experienced plenty of other tragic incidents in which she witnessed suffering and death.
She says she has tried to work through these painful memories, mostly on her own.
"I can tell you that after 30 years, I still have emotional breakdowns and I never know when it's going to hit me," she says.
In 2017, there were 346 mass shootings nationwide, including the Las Vegas massacre — one of the deadliest in U.S. history — according to Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit organization that tracks the country's gun-related deaths.
The group, which defines mass shootings as ones in which four or more people are killed or injured, has identified 159 so far this year, through July 3.

Statins Can Raise Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs can raise the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 30 percent in some vulnerable people, say scientists from Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
The study was a follow-up to an earlier study which investigated whether or not modest weight loss or treatment with metformin — a diabetes medication that helps control blood sugar levels — could reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes in people at high risk.
For the study, obese people were given standard advice on healthy eating and exercise, and were randomly assigned to either an intensive lifestyle program, treatment with metformin, or a dummy drug (placebo).
Their blood fats and blood pressure were measured annually. Blood glucose was measured twice a year, at which point new statin treatment was recorded.

Young White Men Abandon Democrats
President Trump’s reshaping of the GOP from being aligned to the Chamber of Commerce to a party serving the interests of America’s working and middle class is winning over young white American men en masse.
Ahead of Trump’s election to the presidency in 2016, nearly 50 percent of young white men favored Democrats, and 36 percent favored the GOP. That 14-point gain has flipped, and young white men now favor the GOP over the Democrats by 46 percent to 37 percent.
At the time, the GOP was aligned with the big business lobby and Wall Street in promoting endless multinational free trade that readily outsourced American jobs to foreign countries.

Trump Must Stick to His Supreme Court List
It’s what he campaigned on, and it was crucial in reassuring the conservatives who helped elect him.
Presumably, as you read this, the White House is setting up its war room for the Supreme Court confirmation battle to come. The interns are stocking the mini fridges and hanging the musk-masking air fresheners that are de rigueur for any top-flight political bunker.
But before the administration goes to the mattresses, it first must pick a nominee. And that is why I hope White House counsel Don McGahn, who’s leading the search, is hanging a sign for all to see: “It’s the list, stupid.”
Over the next week, the White House will come under incredible pressure from the news media, the Democrats, and some Republicans (pro-choice and abortion-squeamish) to abandon the list of potential Supreme Court nominees President Trump campaigned on (and later expanded slightly). On Sunday, Republican senator Susan Collins of Maine said on ABC’s This Week that the president “should not feel bound” by the list.
Yes, yes he should.
All presidents claim broad mandates for virtually all their campaign promises. But the president has no clearer decree than fidelity to this list.

America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in the White House
After returning from a tour of some of the war zones in the Middle East — which ended with the Free Iran Gathering 2018 in Paris — I am struck by the realization that America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in The White House for eight years. If you look at the evidence, there really is no other conclusion. The calamitous consequences of the Obama presidency will be felt for the foreseeable future.
In the short year and a half that President Trump has been in office, he has put in place policy that has mitigated the damage that President Obama inflicted on our national security and on our allies. The speed with whichTrump has been able to turn things around points to the diabolical depths the Obama administration went to in order to undermine our national strength and way of life. All Trump had to do was stop doing things that hurt America; America could then take care of itself. The results are plain as day. However, it will take decades for the Obama damage to be completely undone. The deviousness of the Obama sedition runs deep.
Think about it for a moment. If you wanted peace in the Middle East, why would you throw away the trillions of dollars spent, as well as the lives of thousands of American souls, by irresponsibly pulling out ALL American troops from Iraq? No matter your thoughts on starting the war, pulling out was an irresponsible thing to do. We still have troops in Germany, Korea and Japan, for God’s sake. Why? For stability, that’s why. As Colin Powell said, we broke it, now we own it. It was a given that instability would follow the force withdrawal. When you combine this act with the reality that Obama never really did try to defeat the Islamic State, what conclusion can you come up with? Trump defeated them in a few months. The conclusion is obvious: Obama really didn’t want to destroy them.
Why did Obama and Hillary take down Moammar Gadhafi, who had already given up his nuclear weapons? Was it to destabilize Libya, where ISIS could gain another foothold? Why did Obama help install the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt? What was the agenda behind the so-called Arab Spring?

The Democrats are having a socialist realignment
PITTSBURGH — Come November, as Democrats try to capture Pennsylvania's state legislature, four of their nominees will be socialists — members of the Democratic Socialists of America. Three of those four are unopposed.
All four women, Summer Lee and Sara Innamorato from the Pittsburgh area, and Elizabeth Fiedler and Kristin Seale of Philadelphia, are first-time candidates who received organized, efficient and professional support from their DSA local chapters. Only Seale faces an opponent, Republican incumbent Rep. Christopher Quinn of Delaware County.
DSA is following the same model here it did in New York, where socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, another first-time, female candidate, defeated incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in the Democratic primary. These races have all occurred in urban-centric districts.

JFK on the Dangers of Americans Getting Soft
Editor’s note: On December 26, 1960, Sports Illustrated published “The Soft American” by John F. Kennedy, in which the then president-elect outlined his concern over the deteriorating physical condition of Americans, argued for the importance of fitness in developing the potential of the “whole man” and the future health of the country, and detailed his plan to make fitness a focus during his administration. JFK lived up to his word, promoting a life of “vig-ah” in general and the “50-Mile March” challenge in particular, and using the President’s Council on Physical Fitness to encourage the nation’s schools to adopt a fitness curriculum.
Beginning more than 2,500 years ago, from all quarters of the Greek world men thronged every four years to the sacred grove of Olympia, under the shadow of Mount Cronus, to compete in the most famous athletic contests of history—the Olympian games.
During the contest a sacred truce was observed among all the states of Greece as the best athletes of the Western world competed in boxing and foot races, wrestling and chariot races for the wreath of wild olive which was the prize of victory. When the winners returned to their home cities to lay the Olympian crown in the chief temples they were greeted as heroes and received rich rewards. For the Greeks prized physical excellence and athletic skills among man’s greatest goals and among the prime foundations of a vigorous state.
Thus the same civilizations which produced some of our highest achievements of philosophy and drama, government and art, also gave us a belief in the importance of physical soundness which has become a part of Western tradition; from the mens sana in corpore sano of the Romans to the British belief that the playing fields of Eaton brought victory on the battlefields of Europe. This knowledge, the knowledge that the physical well-being of the citizen is an important foundation for the vigor and vitality of all the activities of the nation, is as old as Western civilization itself. But it is a knowledge which today, in America, we are in danger of forgetting.

Oklahoma Votes To Legalize Medical Marijuana
Voters in Oklahoma approved a ballot measure making the state the 30th in the nation to allow broad access to medical marijuana. The approval in such a deeply entrenched conservative state is a clear indication that the public at large would like to see some major cannabis laws reformed.
The proposal, which passed by a 57% to 43% margin on Tuesday, will allow doctors to recommend cannabis for any medical condition they see fit. Most other states’ medical marijuana laws dictate specifically which diseases, ailments, and disorders for which physicians can authorize a patient to use medicinal marijuana. However, the law does demand that medical marijuana users be “registered.” Under the new Oklahoma law as drafted, legal patients will receive state ID cards and be allowed to possess three ounces of cannabis in public and store up to eight ounces at home.
But of course, the government will still their unearned cut of all dealings. The state will issue licenses for medical cannabis cultivation, processing, transportation and dispensing businesses, and a 7% retail tax (theft) would be applied to medical cannabis sales. The stolen funds (or taxes) would first go toward covering implementation and regulation costs, with the remainder funding education as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, reported Forbes.

Reuters Poll: Young White Americans Flee Democrat Party in Droves Since Trump’s Election
Young white Americans’ favoritism for Democrats has disappeared
Young white Americans are fleeing the Democrat Party en masse following the election of President Donald Trump in 2016, a new poll reveals.
The latest Reuters/Ipsos Poll surveyed more than 16,000 registered voters between the ages 18 to 34 over the course of the last three months of 2018. This same poll was conducted in 2016 around the same time period.
Young white Americans, in 2016, favored Democrats over Republicans in 2016 by a 47 to 33 percent margin. Since Trump’s election — and his booming economy which has secured high-paying jobs and record job opportunities — young white Americans’ favoritism for Democrats has disappeared.

Breaking News: Scott Pruitt, President Trump's E.P.A. chief, resigned after facing months of allegations over legal and ethical violations
President Trump accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt, the Environmental Protection Agency administrator, he said in a tweet on Thursday.
Mr. Pruitt had been hailed as a hero among conservatives for his zealous deregulation, but he could not overcome the stain of numerous ethics questions about his alleged spending abuses, first-class travel and cozy relationships with lobbyists.

Prominent Democrats Keep Destroying Norms To Go After Trump
Prominent Democrats have repeatedly abandoned political norms and customs in order to oppose President Donald Trump.
Trump’s presidency, and his candidacy before it, has been in large part defined by his willingness to abandon conventional political behavior when it suits him — a recurring feature in criticisms of the president. Many of his opponents, too, have trampled American political norms, even as they rush to “resist” Trump.
Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters exemplified that tendency on Saturday when she called for liberal mobs to harass Trump administration officials who show their faces in public — a move that earned her a rare rebuke from Democratic leadership.
Waters isn’t alone in abandoning political norms to go after Trump.

AGENTS PROVOCATEUR: DID COMEY’S INFORMANTS FABRICATE RUSSIAN COLLUSION EVIDENCE?
In our nation’s worst governmental scandal, Watergate, the Federal Bureau of Investigation heroically kept widespread White House corruption from being concealed, eventually reviving important prosecutions. Sadly, in today’s increasingly convoluted moral universe, senior FBI officials, it now appears, have tried to artificially create serious “Russiagate” crimes, thereby becoming implicated in a scandal promising to be nastier than Watergate.Congress presently awaits DOJ documents which may or may not confirm what presently seem reasonable inferences of such FBI wrongdoing.
In Watergate, the White House and senior DOJ officials attempted to limit the investigation to the seven arrested members of the burglary team caught penetrating the DNC Headquarters in the Watergate Office Building. Deputy Associate FBI Director Mark Felt, to prevent the FBI from becoming complicit in a politicized investigation, met with theWashington Post’s Bob Woodward to avoid this corruption through public exposure. The FBI deserves its honor as the unsung hero of Watergate, refusing to become politicized.
However, one perverse lesson of Watergate is that Felt would have received great perks and personal laurels if he had gone along with the corrupt political program. Heeding a lesson not intended by Felt, FBI Director James Comey engaged in acrobatic contortions during the 2016 election to help presumed President-Elect Hillary Clinton to escape serious criminal charges in the email and related obstruction probes. But this blatant politicization pales in comparison to emerging evidence that Comey’s team, working with John Brennan’s partisan CIA, and partnering with British intelligence agency GCHQ, had attempted to fabricate serious Trump-Russia electoral interference crimes akin to treason.

Jim Kunstler Exposes The "Hidden Figures"
The fabulous Coen Brothers of Hollywood couldn’t come up with a wackier Deep State than the one depicted on Cable News this week. Thursday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing had Congressman Jim Jordan (R- Ohio) in the role of “The Dude” from The Big Lebowski doing battle with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as “Osborne Cox” in Burn After Reading. Rosenstein was sure burning, or at least smoldering in his seat, as Jordan badgered him about threatening House staffers by subpoenaing their emails and phone calls…!
The gotcha moment: “You can’t subpoena a phone call,” Rosenstein answered, trying to suppress his mirthful smirk… as in, listen to me, you dim, Rotarian, Buckeye clod, with your worthless JD from the most obscure law school in the darkest corner of your meth-and vicodan-addled state… you can’t subpoena a phone call, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha…!

Democrats, Disinformation, and the Weaponization of the Department of Justice
The Department of Justice has been weaponized. This is not a recent development, and it was not perpetrated by Republicans. Any suggestions to the contrary are simply wrong, and may constitute part of a disinformation campaign instituted to smother current news and support the political operations of certain hard-eyed, hard-left partisans who appear to be using the DoJ as a weapon.
The DoJ was first weaponized in 1961 at the start of the Kennedy administration. In order to put a leash on the DoJ and prevent it from looking too closely at John F. Kennedy and those close to him, presidential brother Robert Kennedy was made attorney general. The initial impulse was defensive, to prevent FBI director J. Edgar Hoover and other elements of the DoJ from bothering the activities of the JFK inner circle, all Democrats; but soon there developed a pattern of using DoJ assets to offensively operate against political opponents. One early effort involved columnist Igor Cassini, prosecuted and convicted of "not registering as a foreign agent" (the real offense was embarassingt he Kennedy family). Another more famous prosecution involved Billie Sol Estes. He was targeted, prosecuted, and villainized by the DoJ and liberal press assets of the Democrat party not because of a real desire to jail him, but in order to try to force him to “roll over” on LBJ, the real target of the Estes prosecution. In fact, that prosecution was a political operation meant to discredit then-vice president Johnson so that the Kennedy partisans could remove him from the 1964 presidential ticket. After Estes was charged and while he was being pressed hard by the DoJ, RFK asked him to come to Washington for a meeting, and Estes did so. At the meeting Estes was told that what was really wanted was for him to let the DoJ write an affidavit for Estes to sign, and then his prosecution would end. That affidavit would have been critical of LBJ. Estes refused to play the game, and as a result he was eventually tried and sent to prison.
This should sound familiar. Its similarity to present-day prosecutions of General Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort is not merely coincidental.

Buchanan On The Democrats: "No Party For Old White Men"
For Nancy Pelosi, 78, Steny Hoyer, 79, and Joe Biden, 75, the primary results from New York’s 14th congressional district are a fire bell in the night.
All may be swept away in the coming revolution. That is the message of the crushing defeat of 10-term incumbent Joe Crowley, who had aspired to succeed Pelosi and become speaker of the House.
The No. 4 House Democrat, Crowley, 56, had not faced primary opposition since 2004. He outspent his opponent, 28-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who was tending bar a year ago, by 10 to one.
The son of an Irish immigrant, Crowley was leader of the Queens Democratic Club. He had the unions’ support. So confident was he that he skipped a debate and sent a Latina politician to stand in for him.

How To Survive The Civil Unrest That's Coming To America
The rhetoric in the United States is heating up and we’re sounding anything but... well... united. It seems to most media pundits like we are too far down the path to Civil War 2.0 to turn back now. Activists are laying siege to government offices. Threats toward people who disagree are growing in ferocity. It’s ugly and getting uglier. It’s a powder keg that is about to erupt. (Here are some thoughts on what a full-fledged Civil War might look like.)
It is only a matter of time before civil unrest begins to escalate and spread throughout the country. Many people are wondering, how do you keep your family safe during widespread unrest? It’s not about being fearful. It’s about being prepared.
My thoughts on this manipulated division are fodder for another article. (You can find it here.) This article is apolitical (to the best of my ability, anyway) and focuses strictly on what you need to know to survive should the unrest come to your neighborhood.
You need to understand how riots unfold.
First things first, you need to understand how this kind of unrest unfolds so that you can see the warning signs earlier. Never underestimate the power, rage, and motivation of a mob.
Here’s the pattern:

The Institutions Americans Trust Most And Least
In this era of "fake news", trust is always being called into question, whether it's the content in the president's Twitter feed or the creepy notion that your Amazon Echo is listening in on your private conversations with sinister intentions. Even though "In God We Trust" is the official motto of the United States, distrust is rampant in 21st century America.
But, as Statista'a Niell McCarthy notes, when it comes to the nation's institutions which are bedrocks of the country, however, trust levels are remaining consistent.
Gallup recently polled U.S. adults about their confidence levels in 15 different societal institutions, finding only three had a majority-level of trust.

Arkansas Democrat on #AbolishICE: 'I Don't Know What It Is'
A Democratic candidate for congress in Arkansas claimed complete ignorance of the growing movement within his party to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, or ICE
Clarke Tucker, an Arkansas state lawmaker who will be on the ballot against incumbent Republican Rep. French Hill this November, was asked about ICE over the weekend at the Families Belong Together protest in Little Rock. Though immigration was the focus of the event, Tucker said he hadn't "spent any time" thinking about whether ICE should be abolished.
"I haven't had a chance to look at that, I don't know what it is," Tucker said during the brief interaction with a conservative tracker from America Rising.
After Tucker was told that the push to abolish ICE had recently gotten support from Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.), he maintained that he had no information on what it means.

Meyssan: What Donald Trump Is Preparing
After having observed Donald Trump’s historical references (the constitutional compromise of 1789, the examples of Andrew Jackson and Richard Nixon) and the way in which his partisans perceive his politics, Thierry Meyssan here analyses his anti-imperialist actions. The US President is not interested in taking a step back, but on the contrary, abandoning the interests of the transnational ruling class in order to develop the US national economy.
The problem
In 1916, during the First World War, Lenin analysed the reasons which led to the confrontation between the empires of his time. He wrote – Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism. In this book, he clarified his analysis – « Imperialism is capitalism which has arrived at a stage of its development where domination by monopolies and financial capital has been confirmed, where the export of capital has acquired major importance, where the sharing of the world between international trusts has begun, and where the sharing of all the territories of the globe between the greatest capitalist countries has been achieved ».
The facts confirmed his logic of the concentration of capitalism that he described. In the space of one century, it substituted a new empire for the precedents – « America » (not to be confused with the American continent). By dint of fusions and acquisitions, a few multinational companies gave birth to a global ruling class which gathers every year to congratulate itself, as we watch, in Davos, Switzerland. These people do not serve the interests of the US population, and in fact are not necessarily United States citizens themselves, but use the means of the US Federal State to maximise their profits.
Donald Trump was elected as President of the United States on his promise to return to the earlier state of Capitalism, that of the « American dream, » by free market competition. We can of course claim a priori, as did Lenin, that such a reversal is impossible, but nonetheless, the new President has committed to this direction.

The Judge In The Bundy Trial Just Spiked Prosecutors
A federal judge rejected prosecutors’ request Tuesday to reconsider her dismissal of the case against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, his two sons and friend Ryan Payne.
U.S. District Judge Gloria M. Navarro dismissed conspiracy charges against the four men on Jan. 8 after finding that prosecutors had acted “with prejudice” throughout the trial, The Oregonian reported. Federal prosecutors violated federal law and failed to share evidence favorable to the defendants case with the court.
“The Court’s finding of outrageous government conduct was not in error,” Navarro wrote in her 11-page ruling, obtained by The Oregonian. “On the contrary, a universal sense of justice was violated by the Government’s failure to provide evidence that is potentially exculpatory.”
The prosecutors’ request did not make any new arguments or bring forth any evidence that Navarro had not already considered in her decision to dismiss the case.

Black Women Leaders Slam Schumer, Pelosi for Not Supporting Auntie Maxine
Dozens of black women leaders and allies have admonished the Senate and House minority leaders for their "recent failure to protect" Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., "from unwarranted attacks" by President Donald Trump, his administration, and other Republicans.
Waters said last month that opponents of Trump should confront members of his administration whenever they meet them and "tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," according to The Daily Beast, a comment that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer both declined to agree with. Schumer described her approach in a floor speech as "not American,” according to CNN.
"We write to share our profound indignation and deep disappointment over your recent failure to protect Congresswoman Waters from unwarranted attacks from the Trump Administration and others in the GOP," the women wrote to Schumer and Pelosi in a letter on Tuesday, according to Politico. "That failure was further compounded by your decision to unfairly deride her as being 'uncivil' and 'un-American.'"

"Girl From The Bronx" Ocasio-Cortez Called Out In Fact Check; Actually Grew Up In Wealthy Enclave
The Democratic Party's rising socialist icon - Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has been on an intense media junket since her upset primary victory over establishment Democrat Joe Crowley this week - doing her darnedest to project her "girl from the Bronx" working-class image.
“Well, you know, the president is from Queens, and with all due respect — half of my district is from Queens — I don’t think he knows how to deal with a girl from the Bronx,” Ocasio-Cortez told Stephen Colbert during an appearance on The Late Show.
The socialist phenom also told the Washington Post "I wasn’t born to a wealthy or powerful family — mother from Puerto Rico, dad from the South Bronx. I was born in a place where your Zip code determines your destiny."
Except Ocasio-Cortez isn't quite the blue-collar champion she's branding herself as. Breitbart's Josh Caplan is out with a "fact check" on the Democratic Socialist's background - only to find she grew up in one of the richest counties in the United States.

Reforms intended to end excessive cash bail in Md. are keeping more in jail longer, report says
A rule intended to reduce the jail population and eliminate excessive cash bails for the poor in Maryland has actually resulted in more defendants being detained without the option of pretrial release, according to a recent report by groups advocating the end of mass incarceration.
The June 21 report, which analyzed pretrial jail populations in Prince George’s County before and after bail reform was implemented in 2017, suggests that while cash bails have decreased, judges have opted to hold more people without bond instead of releasing them on their own recognizance.
The increase in “no-bail” holds violates the spirit of rules that the Maryland Court of Appeals adopted to address concerns over racial and financial inequities in the cash-bail system, public defenders and advocates say.

There is no A/C in the cells and many have not been able to take showers for some 5 days at a time. I don't care what anyone says, this is inhumane. Governors O'malley and Hogan have completely ignored ECI.
Trump Reverses Obama-Era Policies On Affirmative Action
As Donald Trump moves to undo every last trace of Obama's legacy, the WSJ reported that on Tuesday, the Trump administration reversed Obama-era policies that encourage the use of race in college admissions "to promote diverse educational settings." Instead, the Trump administration will encourage the nation’s school superintendents and college presidents to adopt race-blind admissions standards.
The reversal would restore the policy set during President George W. Bush’s administration, when officials told schools that it “strongly encourages the use of race-neutral methods” for admitting students to college or assigning them to elementary and secondary schools.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions made the official announcement Tuesday afternoon.
"The American people deserve to have their voices heard and a government that is accountable to them. When issuing regulations, federal agencies must abide by constitutional principles and follow the rules set forth by Congress and the President," Sessions said. "In previous administrations, however, agencies often tried to impose new rules on the American people without any public notice or comment period, simply by sending a letter or posting a guidance document on a website. That's wrong, and it's not good government."
The decision comes amid a DOJ probe whether Harvard was illegally discriminating against Asian-American students by holding them to a higher standard in its admissions process. The administration revived the probe last year after Obama civil rights officials dismissed a similar complaint.
While the decision does not change current US law on affirmative action, it provides a strong illustration of the administration's position on an issue that could take on renewed attention with the departure of Justice Anthony Kennedy from the Supreme Court.

THE MUSLIM PLOT TO MURDER CHILDREN AT A 4TH OF JULY PARADE
An Islamic evil lurked in Cleveland possessed of a monstrous hate of innocence and freedom.
Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical left and Islamic terrorism.
“The wicked Catholics, Jews all of them,” Abdur Raheem Rafeeq ranted, as he scouted downtown Cleveland.
Abdur had a worthless degree from a culinary school that had gone out of business, a criminal record encompassing everything from domestic violence to aggravated robbery, and a deep love of Allah.
Living on disability in what news reports describe as a Dayton, Ohio Job Corps facility, Abdur, who had formerly been known as Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts and would soon demand to be called Saladin Osama Waleed, after the two famous Muslim leaders he worshiped, loved Allah and hated America.
St. John’s Cathedral, whose bells can be heard throughout downtown, drew the Muslim's ire. On the video, which would later be recovered from the terrorist's phone, he spoke of taking it “off the map.”

British Medical Schools Turn Away Straight-A Students While NHS Plunders Third World for Doctors
Straight-A students are being turned away from British medical schools and forced to pay for training in Eastern Europe, while the National Health Service (NHS) plunders the Third World for already-trained doctors instead.
The Daily Mail spoke to a number of star students who earned top A-levels and supplemented their CVs with spells volunteering at local GP surgeries, overseas clinics, hospices, and pharmacies — and even earned degrees in related fields such as Biomedical Science — who were turned away from British medical schools, despite the NHS facing a shortfall of some 10,000 doctors.
Department of Health and Social Care figures show that only 6,000 of 18,000 medical school applicants were awarded places last year — with many of the 6,000 likely going to foreign applicants, who have often been favoured over British applicants.
Fully 108,000 of 289,000 doctors currently on the medical register qualified overseas, around tw0-thirds of whom qualified outside the European Union — including 25,000 from India, 12,000 from Pakistan, and 5,000 from Nigeria.
While most of these foreign doctors are perfectly capable, a disproportionate number turn out to be incompetent, with more than half of doctors subject to ‘fitness to practice’ investigation by the General Medical Council (GMC) being non-British.

Limbaugh Hammers Never Trumpers
Monday on his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh reflected on the so-called Never Trump wing of the Republican Party, noting that a push to vote for Democrats against President Donald Trump this November seems to have backfired given the retirement of Supreme Court Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Partial transcript as follows (courtesy of RushLimbaugh.com):
LIMBAUGH: You know who’s really, really taking it on the chin about now? And that is the conservative Never Trumper crowd. You know, I haven’t talked about this on purpose, by design, but I’m just going to mention it here in reference. George Will, before the retirement announcement of Anthony Kennedy, was so frustrated that he wrote a piece suggesting the only hope for America is if all Republicans vote Democrat to get rid of Trump and everything related to Trump.
Now, stop and think about that for a minute. That’s almost as off the wall as people on the left are off the wall. That’s in the midst of policies that all of these intellectual conservatives have ostensibly been fighting for their whole lives. Trump is implementing much of what they have claimed to believe in. But maybe they didn’t believe it that much, because as it’s being implemented, they can’t bring themselves to support it because of the guy who is president while it’s happening. Vote Democrat? Give up the Supreme Court?

California separatists declare independence on July 4: 'Stand up against American occupation'
While other Americans celebrate the holiday with picnics and parades, California secessionists are taking Independence Day literally.
The Yes California independence campaign, known as Calexit, plans to rally Wednesday at the state capitol in Sacramento, calling on like-minded residents to “stand up against American occupation of California” and for Trump supporters to “get out of California.”
“The Fourth of July is no longer a day to celebrate in California,” said the campaign, which is collecting signatures to place a secession measure on the 2020 ballot, in an Independence Day message.
Calexit has generated plenty of fireworks with its effort to spin off California as a separate country, but billionaire Tim Draper generated the biggest bang in April when he qualified his three-Californias measure for the November ballot.
The initiative, now named Proposition 9, is aimed at making California more governable by dividing it into three more manageable states named Southern California, which would include San Diego and the Central Valley; Northern California, encompassing San Francisco, and California, which would hold Los Angeles.
“It’s beautiful weather, I love California, but it’s now 50th in quality of life because people can’t afford to live here, and they move,” Mr. Draper said Monday on Fox Business.
So far Proposition 9 has shown little support in the polls, but Mr. Draper said the proposal is moving in the right direction.
“It started at 13 percent in favor and then it went to 17 percent in favor and now you said 27 percent in favor,” Mr. Draper said. “What happens is as people start thinking about it, they say, yeah, I’d like to see my kids have a better education, yeah I’d like to have better infrastructure, yeah, I’d like to have lower taxes, and I think you could have all that.”

Soros Donates Second Contribution of $250,000 to Florida Gubernatorial Candidate
Liberal billionaire George Soros donated his second $250,000 contribution to Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum's Forward Florida political action committee (PAC) in late June for his gubernatorial campaign.
Soros, who has given $700,000 to the PAC since the beginning of the campaign cycle, is one of two prominent billionaires financially backing the Democrat Gillum's campaign. Soros' son, Alex Soros, has also given $50,000 to Gillum's PAC, according to Florida Politics.
California billionaire and political activist Tom Steyer was the other billionaire helping fund Gillum's campaign. He endorsed Gillum, who has positioned himself as the anti-establishment progressive in the race, last Thursday and is expected to contribute $500,000 to Forward Florida as part of his endorsement.

The head researcher at David Brock's multimillion-dollar opposition research shop is convinced by the Twitter-born conspiracy that Nazis at the Trump administration's Department of Homeland Security use numerical code to transmit white supremacist messages through its press releases.
Pat Dennis is research director for American Bridge 21st Century's anti-Trump war room. The 47-person war room he leads, according to confidential documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon last year, was bolstered by a $7.8 million budget in 2017.
Dennis's interest in the conspiracy was piqued almost immediately after Twitter user Laurie Voss initially pointed out last Thursday that a DHS press release from February was filled with what Voss saw as Nazi code. Voss argued the release had both a 14-word headline and 14 bullet points (it actually has 13 bullet points), important because 14 is the number of words in "a famous white supremacist slogan" that, just like the DHS headline, starts with "we must secure." Voss also noted the use in a statistic of the number 88, "a Nazi dog whistle for Heil Hitler."
"There is absolutely no doubt now that this article is intentionally a signal to Nazis," Voss concluded.

Trump Threatens to Release 9/11 Docs Implicating Clintons, Bushes
Trump sends warning to Mueller & deep state
President Trump is prepared to go beyond exposing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s 9/11-Saudi cover-up by releasing new information on how the Bushes and Clintons were also involved, according to high-level government sources.
In short, Mueller’s role in covering up Saudi Arabia’s ties to 9/11 is just the tip of the iceberg; Trump is set to expose even more collusion by the deep state, according to officials who spoke to Infowars.
Trump has previously criticized former President George W. Bush for his actions prior to and during the 9/11 attack.
“I lost hundreds of friends, the World Trade Center went down during the reign of George Bush,” then-candidate Trump said during a debate in 2016. “He kept us safe? That is not safe.”
Months later, the House Intelligence Committee released a redacted version of the once-classified 28 pages from the Congressional Joint Inquiry into the 9/11 Commission report.
While redacted in places, the 28 pages did reveal some bombshell information.
“While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support or assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government,” the report reads. “There is information, primarily from FBI sources, that at least two of those individuals were alleged by some to be Saudi intelligence officers.”

WATCH: Police Chief Calls Press Conference and Then Arrests Everyone Who Showed Up
Leon Valley, TX — Over the weekend, the chief of police for the Leon Valley Police Department called a late-afternoon press conference to address police accountability activists live-streaming officers. However, as soon as the conference began, chief Joseph Salvaggio began arresting people and then detained the entire crowd.
Over the past two months, Salvaggio has been the subject of multiple videos and independent media articles for his alleged corruption. According to the group National Association for Individual Rights, the controversy began on May 2, when Jesus Padilla was arrested while filming inside Leon Valley City Hall.
It continued into last week. As TFTP reported, multiple people were arrested for their freedom of speech last week as they desecrated a Thin Blue Line American flag.

Democrats are in a crisis and the media won't talk about it
The Democratic Party is in an ongoing crisis, but most of the national media aren’t interested.
They’d rather talk about the new “rock star,” Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Coretz, and ignore that the party is up in flames.
Both Republican and Democratic voters are turning out in record numbers for their primary elections this year, according to analysis published this week by the Hill.
Democrats have a slight advantage by about a million votes, but that’s only in primaries. And in every general midterm election since at least 1982, Republicans have had an average of 6 percent higher turnout than Democrats.
Democrats swept Congress in 2006, but that was in a year of President George W. Bush, who wasn’t as popular as President Trump is among both Republicans and independents.
Just before the 2006 midterm elections, Bush had an 81 percent approval rating among Republicans and a 31 percent approval among independents, according to Gallup. Right now, the same poll has Trump at 87 percentwith Republicans and 38 percent with independents.

Florida Man Arrested, Accused of Threatening to Kill Children of GOP Rep Over Immigration Policies
A man from Stuart, Florida is in jail after being accused of threatening to harm the children of Republican Rep. Brian Mast (Fla.).
Mast, who represents the state's 18th Congressional District has three young children, all under the age of 8. The arrested man, Laurence Wayne Key, is facing federal charges for the offense of "communication of a threat to kidnap or injure a person." He threatened Mast’s children in response to the Trump administration's immigration policies, according to NBC affiliate WPTV.
A criminal complaint alleges Key called Mast’s Washington, D.C. office and told an intern he would "find the Congressman’s kids and kill them." He continued, "If you’re going to separate kids at the border, I’m going to kill his kids. Don’t try to find me because you won’t."
The intern reported the phone call to a supervisor, and the FBI arrested Key soon after the alleged call to Mast’s office. Key told the FBI he did not threaten to kill Mast’s kids, but said the congressman should be separated from his kids if he supports President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. The criminal complaint notes he admitted "to saying something about Congressman Mast never seeing his kids again."

Why Do People Tap on Cans?
Answer: Tapping on the top of a carbonated beverage can (or bottle) before opening it may help prevent the drink from exploding out of the can upon opening (although it might not be sufficient!). Sparkling or carbonated beverages contain carbon dioxide gas that is dissolved in the liquid by pressurizing the contents of the can. When the can is opened, the mixture depressurizes and the carbon dioxide comes out of solution, escaping as carbon dioxide gas. If there is liquid between the gas bubble and the outside of the can, then some of the liquid may be pushed out of the can with the bubble. The pressure gradient when the can is opened is greatest near the opening and the carbon dioxide at the top of the can escapes first.
If the can has been shaken, then the pressure differential inside the can during shaking will force some of the carbon dioxide out of solution to form bubbles. Some bubbles float to the top and some stick to the sides and bottom of the can. Given sufficient time, equilibrium will be achieved and the carbon dioxide will dissolve back into the beverage. If the can is opened immediately after shaking, it is likely that the beverage will spray all over the place since some liquid from all parts of the can will be pushed ahead of escaping gas and out the can (hey, bubbles float to the top and these bubbles are under pressure too!). When the can is tapped before opening, bubbles adhering to the sides and bottom of the can may be jarred free. Assuming the can is upright, the bubbles, being lighter than the liquid, will float to the top of the can. Then when the can is opened, the bubbles are already near the opening, so they don't push through the beverage on their way out.
Here's a little experiment to try at home: Shake up two cans of cola (or whatever is handy). Place one can right side up and the other inverted. Tap the 'top' of each can. Now turn the upside-down can over and open both cans. Did you get sprayed more by the can that was inverted when it was tapped?

The Worst (and Best) States for Children's Health and Education
For the first time in five years, New Mexico has fallen to last among states when it comes to the economic, educational and medical well-being of its children, according to a nonprofit that tracks the status of U.S. kids.
Perhaps most troubling in the 2018 Kids Count Data Book, set for public release Wednesday by the Baltimore-based Annie E. Casey Foundation, is New Mexico's steep drop in ranking for health care measures -- previously a bright spot for the state.
New Mexico steadily decreased its number of uninsured children between 2010 and 2015, to 4 percent from 10 percent, the Casey Foundation reported. But in 2016, that figure edged up to 5 percent, the 2018 report says.
That change, as well as an increase in the rate of teens who reported abusing drugs or alcohol, helped push the state from 37th in 2017 to 48th this year in health, one of four categories in which states are ranked in the Kids Count report (though the report notes a change in the data-reporting methodology on teen drug and alcohol use make year-over-year results difficult to compare).
Overall, Kids Count -- which analyzes data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -- paints New Mexico as a dire place to be a child.

Congressman Investigating FISA Abuse, Awan Says DOJ Spying On Him
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) says that agents working for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein have been spying on his office, Gohmert told WMAL's "Morning on the Mall" Friday.
“I don’t doubt for a minute that he has people who have been looking into my background. I’ve been told as much by some other folks,” said the Congressman, who added that he did not believe such an operation was overseen by Rod Rosenstein personally.
“There’s always deniability,” he said.
Gohmert recounted a fiery exchange with Rosenstein during Congressional testimony last week in which the Congressman grilled the Deputy AG over not having read a FISA warrant renewal he signed.
