BREAKING NEWS: PENINSULA INSURANCE COMPANY IN SALISBURY MARYLAND TO CLOSE THEIR DOORS

Salisbury Maryland Mayor Jake Day will take yet another major blow on July 2nd, 2018 when Peninsula Insurance Company will close their doors for good.

Employees were told just moments ago the doors will close very soon and severance packages will be handed out over the next 2 days.

Donegal, the parent company, watched the Salisbury branch dwindle away and chose to pull the plug completely. I can tell you that at least 30 people will lose their jobs.

Oh heck, at this rate, especially the way Mayor Jake Day is pulling millions of dollars out of the taxpayers rainy day funds, these people will have no problem getting City jobs at extremely high pay. Oh, that's right, he only hires kids out of Salisbury University with NO experience. I guess it means these 30 people will be unemployed until they sell their homes and relocate to a place that is actually growing, not crumbling.

WANTED FOR MURDER IN SALISBURY MARYLAND

Jameal Rashawn Gould

Hey Teachers, I Really Want To Know...

While Wicomico County Teachers continue to point fingers at County Executive Culver over pay raises HE HAS NO SAY ON and they continue to be critical because they're not smart enough to know it's the BOE who manages ALL of the funds given by County Taxpayers, I truly need to ask the following question...

What would you rather have:

1. More money for Pre K
2. Teachers' Salaries
3. School/Student Safety
4. School Construction

It's time to put it back on the Teachers and the BOE to put this to rest. If you want the Executive to exceed Maintenance of Effort, answer the damn question and the School you represent, since so many are so afraid to use their name, (not that I blame them).

I'll remind these Teachers, Culver, (in his last budget) did give enough funds to give Teachers a 2% raise. It was Fredericksen who not only took the 2% raise and dropped it down to 1%, NOT the County Executive. Even worse, by the time Fredericksen actually gave the Teachers that 1% raise it reduced it down to .5%. Do NOT let the BOE continue fooling you by pointing fingers at the Executive. They're thieves and they're stealing from YOU.

Nipple stickers are the new glitter boobs

Would you be brave enough to try out this nipple trend?

Accessorizing used to mean wearing an eye-catching necklace or carrying a statement handbag — but now, it seems, our nips are the area to adorn.

At the Lollapalooza Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil, revelers were seen with bold nipple stickers on full display under sheer T-shirts.

And this isn’t the only time ladies have dared to dazzle on their chests.

Glitter nipples began gaining momentum after US model Binx Walton stormed down the Saint Laurent runway at Paris Fashion Week SS17 — with her left breast adorned with silver studs.

And fearless girls on Instagram have shared photographs showing how they style the eye-popping look.

Confederate Flag, Noose Found In Student’s Truck At Chesapeake H.S.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A student at Chesapeake High School in Anne Arundel County allegedly had a confederate flag in the back of his truck.

The principal of the school, Stephen Gorski, sent a letter out to parents explaining the situation.

He says a staff member saw the flag and alerted administration. An administrator and the School Resource Officers then located the vehicle in the parking lot and saw the flag in the bed of the truck. They also saw a noose and a pair of dice decorated with Confederate flags hanging from the rear-view mirror.

Biden: 'The 2nd Amendment Is Being Very Badly Interpreted' - There Is 'Prostitution of the 2nd Amendment'

During a discussion at the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, former Vice President Joe Biden stated that the 2nd Amendment has been interpreted “badly” and the nation has decided it can’t ignore the “prostitution” of the amendment.

Biden said, “I think there’s a 2nd Amendment. I think the 2nd Amendment is being very badly interpreted. It’s not consistent with what they’re — our founders intended, in my view. You saw Justice John Paul Stevens say that we should — because it’s been so prostituted, we should repeal the 2nd Amendment. It was about a standing militia. It’s a long story. I won’t go into all the legal side of that having taught it in law school. But there’s rational or irrational policy.”

Wicomico County Republican Central Committee "Drunktard" Julie Brewington Surfaces Again

Apology

From: Julie Brewington
To: alberobutzo
Date: Tue, Apr 3, 2018 7:18 pm

I want to let you know that I didn't offer you an apology as part of any 12 step program. That made me laugh a little, thank you.

I offered you an an apology, not because I did you wrong, as clearly you know you have been acting out your vengeance for 10 years now, but rather because I thought you needed it for your own healing. And I hoped you would stop acting out your obsession with my rejection of you.

I hope you get there.

Julie Brewington
One thing that I have always told people, my Wife is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I can only assume the message above is yet another one of Julie's early empty bottle evening she is so well known for.

Let me repeat something to all of you.

Attorney: Has Mr. Albero called you in the past two years?

Julie: No

Attorney: Has he text you in the past two years?

Julie: No

Attorney: Has he confronted you in public in the last two years?

Julie: No

Attorney: Has he made ANY kind of contact with you in the past two years?

Julie: No

Attorney: Judge, what the hell are we doing here?

Judge: Mrs. Brewington, you filed for a peace order against this man in fear for your life and you now admit he's not made any contact with you whatsoever, why?

Julie: "He's Creepy"

Ladies & Gentlemen, this woman needs a serious intervention.

Martin O’Malley Open to Another Presidential Run, Claims Gun Control Is Winning Issue for Democrats

'Keeping an open heart and an open mind about running again''Keeping an open heart and an open mind about running again'

Former Maryland governor and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley said Tuesday that he was keeping an "open mind" about another presidential run and that he thinks gun control is a winning issue for Democrats up and down the ballot in 2020.

O'Malley addressed a crowd of business leaders at the "Politics & Eggs" series hosted by the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College. In his remarks, O'Malley laid out an optimistic vision for America's future that was premised on embracing young voters to achieve progressive victories on immigration, gun control, and a bevy of other topics, according to the New Hampshire Journal.

O'Malley opened up his address by making light of his failed presidential campaign, saying his return to New Hampshire was "a triumph of hope over cruel experience." O'Malley also poked fun at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), his competitors for the Democratic nomination two years ago.

"History will prove that I was the only life-long Democrat who ran for president in 2016," O'Malley said.

A Message From Governor Hogan

Today, I vetoed legislation that would give political appointees and lobbyists control of billions of dollars in school construction funding. This tone-deaf, partisan bill was one of the most outrageous and irresponsible actions ever taken by the Maryland General Assembly; it was passed at the last minute, in secret and was rammed through with no hearings, no public input, and no notice in smoke-filled back rooms. Read more: https://bit.ly/2q3PATU

This legislation was passed by 29 senators, three of whom we had high hopes would not bow to political pressure from the Senate President, but they folded. However, Senator Jim Mathias, Senator Kathy Klausmeier, and Senator Ron Young have a chance to redeem themselves and prove that they serve their constituents and not their short-sighted political agenda. Call them and tell them that you're watching yet again, and you WILL hold them accountable for the choice they make during the veto override vote:

Additionally:

Gov. Larry Hogan Wednesday vetoed a bill that would remove a 50-year old process of school construction oversight, replacing it with one that gives the legislature more say and eliminates the Board of Public Works’ oversight role.

Hogan vetoed the ‘this last-minute, secret bill’ during the Board of Public Works meeting Wednesday. The move was not unexpected. The governor vowed to reject the bill even before the House and Senate completed work on the legislation.

‘The people who perpetrated this scam admitted it wasn’t about policy. They clearly stated it was about politics and childish personal vendettas. But it is serious business that will have a devastating impact on education and on Maryland taxpayers,’ Hogan said, adding it would remove authority and oversight of school construction from the three-member board he leads.”

Mitch McConnell Frets on Midterms: ‘The Wind Is Going to Be in Our Face’

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) acknowledged this week that the 2018 midterm cycle could prove especially difficult for the Republican Party in the face of increased Democratic voter enthusiasm.

In an interview with Kentucky Today, published Tuesday, McConnell admitted: “This is going to be a challenging election year."

“We know the wind is going to be in our face,” he continued. “We don’t know whether it’s going to be a Category 3, 4 or 5.”

McConnell said once again that the most important accomplishment, in his mind, of Donald Trump’s administration so far has been the number of conservative judicial appointments the president has gotten through.

Given the legacy of that Trump-era accomplishment, McConnell is more hopeful of retaining the Senate than the House, acknowledging that more transient policy changes like the GOP’s tax reform can simply be scrapped “the next time the political winds shift.”

“I’m hoping we can hold the Senate,” he said. “And the principle reason for that, even if we were to lose the House and be stymied legislatively, we could still approve appointments, which is a huge part of what we do.”

Surgeon General Urges More Americans To Carry Opioid Antidote

As opioid-related deaths have continued to climb, naloxone, a drug that can reverse overdoses, has become an important part of the public health response.

When people overdosing struggle to breathe, naloxone can restore normal breathing and save their lives. But the drug has to be given quickly.

On Thursday, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams issued an advisory that encouraged more people to routinely carry naloxone.

"The call to action is to recognize if you're at risk," he tells Morning Edition's Rachel Martin. "And if you or a loved one are at risk, keep within reach, know how to use naloxone."

"I Can't Pay My Bills" - McDonald's Employees Furious As Company Renegs On Wage Hikes

When the initiative was first announced, McDonald's decision to raise its employees' wages to $1 above minimum wage (albeit only at corporate-owned stores, a minority of the company's total count) was hailed as a radical example of corporate accountability - a direct repudiation of the far-left notion that "quarterly capitalism" and employers accepting responsibility for their employees were mutually exclusive.

As any steely eyed realist might've expected, McDonald's widely lauded "wage hike" was little more than a publicity stunt. In the three years since McDonald's announced the wage hike in 2015, the firm has essentially frozen employee wages, often leaving them just a few cents above minimum wage, as Bloomberg has discovered.

But the company doesn't expect to experience any blowback from this decision: After all, McDonald's never said it was pegging employees' wages to $1 above minimum wage. The company, it appears, deliberately equivocated during its initial announced - and what's worse, nobody in the media has called the company out.

Hillary Clinton Calls Fellow Democrats Sexist, Warns That She Won't Stay Quiet

They'd never tell a man to "shut up," she claimed.

Hillary Clinton fired back at her critics on the left late Friday, claiming that it was "sexism" that drove Democrats, in the days following the 2016 Presidential election, to tell her to keep quiet about what caused her devastating loss to now-President Donald Trump.

The failed Presidential candidate hissed directly at Democratic leaders in her speech: "They never said that to any man who was not elected."

"I was really struck by how people said that to me - you know, mostly people in the press, for whatever reason - mostly, 'Go away, go away,'" Clinton told a gathered crowd at Rutgers University, according to MSNBC. "And I had one of the young people who works for me go back and do a bit of research. They never said that to any man who was not elected. I was kind of struck by that."

Columbia Student Complains About Professor Saying ‘Negro’ During Lesson About 1960’s

A Columbia University student publicly complained about her professor using the word "Negro," even though he said it in a lesson about 1960s America.

The Columbia Daily Spector ran a storyThursday about what happens "when professors make racially insensitive remarks." The paper cited a complaint by student Maria Fernanda Martinez of a perceived "microagression." Martinez said her professor told the class it was appropriate to use the term "Negro" when discussing the 1960's, a time when that was the politically correct term for African-Americans.

"Martinez, troubled by these comments, sent her professor an email after class, including links to resources about why using the term is offensive, but said she saw no real change in her professor’s approach to teaching the material," the Spector reported.

"I didn’t pay attention in class after that," Martinez said.
