Breaking News: The Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and the woman who accused him of sexual assault will be called to testify in the Senate on Monday.

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, under mounting pressure from senators of his own party, will call President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, and the woman who has accused him of sexual assault before the committee on Monday for extraordinary public hearings just weeks before the midterm elections.

  4. Sixteen years old (forty-five years ago). At the drive-in movie. In the back seat of my friend Ted's Ford Falcon on a double date with a girl named Peggy.
At some point during "Mothra vs. Godzilla", I tried to put the moves on Peggy, tried unsuccessfully to get to 1st base.
She said NO!. I stopped. She got angry that I even tried, and demanded we take her home right away.
    We did.
I guess I can abandon all hope in ever being selected to the Supreme Court.

  5. Should've never nominated him. His paper trail was way to long.Easy pickens for the Dems and Trump cost a seat on the court as Reps. will lose the Senate after Kavanaugh goes down next week.

  6. @8:07 PM.

This is for a Supreme Court position, the highest court in the land. Setting legal precedents.

Both of these are true: 1) Allegations of sexual assault should never be taken lightly, AND 2) innocence is always the default position unless proven to be guilty.

I suspect, that if the tables were turned, and the nominee wasn't your particular brand of political philosophy, your terms would look quite different.

Personally, I see no reason there should be a statue of limitations in reviewing anything when it comes to such high positions of importance and power.

For legal prosecution of a crime, certainly... but not for review for nomination to high office.

I'm sure you have good reasons though, would love to hear them.
