President Trump went after the Department of Justice and the FBI on Wednesday, arguing that his 2016 campaign team should have been warned that campaign chairman Paul Manafort was under investigation at the time.
In a tweet, Trump questioned why law enforcement didn't "tell me" that Manafort was being investigated at the time of his hiring, noting that his former aide had previously worked for GOP figures such as President Reagan and Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.).
"Paul Manafort worked for Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole and many other highly prominent and respected political leaders. He worked for me for a very short time. Why didn’t government tell me that he was under investigation. These old charges have nothing to do with Collusion — a Hoax!" Trump wrote.

They didn't tell Trump because they, under Obama's watchful eye, wanted to take him down with anything they could find on Manafort.
ReplyDeleteBecause it was a set-up!
ReplyDeleteIt is not the FBI's job to vet the people your campaign hires.

Yes it very much is so the FGI's job. It is one of the main functions of their job-national security-Einstein. That's the problem with you low information people. You are real good at running those mouths but are either liars or don't know what you are talking about. Now let me educate you.
By the time Manafort was hired President Trump was already getting daily intelligence briefings. Part of the daily briefings are national security. One of the reasons the presidential candidates are given these briefing is so that the candidate does not compromise national security by saying the wrong things around the wrong people.
12:24 Your sheer ignorance and utter stupidity are shining brightly. What's incredibly sad are these dumbed down products of the US public "education" system lie 12:24 vote when they are so stupid.
ReplyDeleteManafort was hired as a high level member of the campaign so at the time candidate Trump should have been advises so he could get rid of him. This to ensure that the intelligence information given to the candidates' in briefings would not be given to someone being investigate nor revealed to a foreign power. If they were REALLY concerned about protecting national security they would have informed candidate Trump immediately.
