I know this is hard to read but Mayor Day said, "Construction in the next block between Baptist and Division streets is scheduled to wrap up in mid April. Work on sidewalks will begin at the end of February and landscaping and new benches will be installed by June".
This statement was made in the Daily Times including the fact that the City hired a new contractor.
They won't be ready when THE FESTIVAL" starts, it's amazing that the things they thought were so important, they have overlooked this area of Salisbury looks like a dump and so does Rt 13 North which if they come they will certainly travel. Their are too many garages, auto shops with stacks of tires, unpainted bad looking structures, bad roads, boarded up buildings abandoned and long closed places of business. It looks about like Chicago before their Bankrupcy. Real Impressive.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who is paying for his twice a day radio ad about SWIFT. It comes on aprox. 6:30 a.m. and again at aprox. 3:35 p.m. I listen to the station because of their music selection and it gives me great pleasure that twice a day I can say, Oh Shut the Heck up Jake. No one wants to hear what you have to say and I turn the volume down until the ad is over. It's called the Jake Day Moment or something like that. There is also an ad on there from the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce called the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce Moment. I don't fault the station because I assume that they are just doing a job that they are paid to do.
ReplyDelete11:52 Don't be obtuse, you know damn well who is going to pay for anything the mayor does... You the tax payer... But what do you care? You don't seem to care about anything else, so why this? Why now? After you probably voted for this fool, now you complain about him? Whilst you do nothing to fix the situation you probably help cause???
ReplyDeleteAs the count down continues , we didn't think for a minute it would be true , like everything else he has said. He thinks he' still in the army , "hurry up and wait , excuse , excuse ."
ReplyDeleteWhich street will be renamed Jake Day Way?
ReplyDeleteJust call it Idiot's Boulevard. Everyone will know who it is named for.
