Schumer Demands...

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) warned President Trump and Republicans against nominating a Supreme Court justice to replace Anthony Kennedy prior to the 2018 election, and demanded they reject any nominee who would seek to overturn Roe v. Wade.

"[R]eproductive rights for women and countless other protections for middle-class Americans are at stake," Schumer said.

He demanded that the Senate's top Republican, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, abide by the so-called Biden Rule when deciding to commence proceedings to confirm a Supreme Court pick.

In 1992, then-Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) gave a speech calling for Congress to delay any prospective Supreme Court pick until after then-President George Bush's ultimately unsuccessful reelection bid.

  2. Again Schumer and the Democrats expressing their stupidity. They are comparing this nomination to the one in 1992 & 2018. In 1992 and 2018 it was a Presidential election. This nomination is not a Presidential election. This election is a midterm for Congress. The President nominates a Judge to fill the Supreme Court position. The Congress does not nominate the Judge they only confirm or deny. This is a major difference in the process. Stupidity of the process is an ongoing process on comprehension malfunction of the Liberal Anarchist Democrats.

  4. So the Dems had the white house, senate, and house. Then after shoving legislation through that Americans didn't ask for, approve, or agree with, they lose the house, then the senate, then the white house. The dems are delirious if they think they still have any say in who OUR elected president nominates, or the senate approves, for Scotus. Heck, those same dems are the ones that changed the rules, under Obama, to allow for a simple majority vote to confirm a Scotus nominee. Talk about justice, this it it!

  5. Obama and his minions put their nominees on the court, and now DJT has been elected BY THE PEOPLE to nominate the next scotus. And the Republican controlled Senate with have the option to confirm the next nominee by a simple majority vote, thanks to the dems when they last controlled the Senate. Rule changes are a bitch, when they come back to bite them. It is actually comical watching the dems fret and cry over what they have done to themselves.
