    The court did not address the major issues of the case and instead "narrowed" its focus on a procedural matter. Why is this difficult to understand?

    Um.... Sigh, a narrow ruling means the they did not make a broad ruling on the issues of religious freedom or discrimination but that their ruling was more of a technical ruling based on a narrow reason.
