On March 2, 2018, Steven Darnell Nichols, Jr., 43, of Salisbury, Maryland, was convicted of two robberies, in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. Judge Leah J. Seaton sentenced Nichols to 30 years of active incarceration in the Division of Corrections.
On the evening of September 1, 2017, Nichols robbed a cashier at the Family Dollar store on South Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury, Maryland, while armed with a knife. Hours later, he robbed a cashier at the Exxon Tiger Mart on Spring Hill Road, also in Salisbury, Maryland, while threatening to have a gun. Nichols stole approximately $750 from the two establishments and was apprehended two days later.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes commended Detective Patrick Glynn and other members of the Salisbury Police Department for their work in the investigation and prosecution. Mrs. Dykes also thanked Assistant State’s Attorney James “Bo” McAllister who prosecuted this case.
