Disney’s hit princess movie “Frozen” warmed its way into so many hearts in 2013 and it's still making waves this week with rumors of a potential love interest for Elsa that could make history.
Fans called for the main character Elsa to have a significant other after the first movie left her single at the end. But this time people are imploring that Disney take a step forward and give Elsa a girlfriend instead of a boyfriend, which would be the first time for a Disney princess movie to have a same-sex couple.
According to E!, the director of the sequel, Jennifer Lee, might be on board with the ice queen becoming an LGBT icon.
"Where we're going with it, we have tons of conversations about it, and we're really conscientious about these things," Lee said.
While Lee didn’t outright say if Elsa would be in a same-sex relationship, she said she was shying away from giving out details to not spoil the movie’s plot.
"I love everything people are saying [and] people are thinking about with our film—that it's creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful character that speaks to so many people," Lee said. "It means the world to us that we're part of these conversations."

No more Disney
ReplyDeleteIt will die a slow and painful death. The majority of parents are not interested in this agenda.
ReplyDeleteSo if indeed Elsa becomes a lesbian, will Disney elaborate somewhere in the film how Elsa suffers from a mental disorder? Walt Disney would never approve.
ReplyDeleteDisgusting, nothing more than subtle child molestation.
ReplyDeletegoodbye Disney if this happens
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet . . .
ReplyDeleteWait a minute, you mean . . .
Well forget about Disney!
Good grief...now cartoons?
ReplyDeleteDoes all of Hollywood want all of America's children to be queer? It sure looks like it is an objective for them.

ReplyDeleteDisney hasn't been welcome in my family for some time. Same for their subsidiaries ABC and ESPN. Shame, but that's the only recourse.
Disney has a movie in the works about "Man Love" about men that really love little children, and they believe in physically loving the kids!
ReplyDeleteIt is an attempt to normalize that uncle that is a bit too friendly, or the stepdad that visits the child's bedroom in the night.
According to a Disney spokesperson, this move is to include the child that has experienced sexual things in their little lives. These children have been neglected in the past as a character in any Disney story. It is time this kids were included in the new diversity of Disney.
The story is about Uncle Bill loving Amanda as he touches her inaprotatly, and kisses her on the mouth. These kids need to see that their world they live in is okay too.
Turn it off
ReplyDeleteIncluding victims of sex abuse from a family member to make them feel better, might help. They do feel bad, and at least a story from Disney will have a happy ending.
