Berlin Intermediate - Middle School Also Had A Gun Threat Earlier This Week

Publishers Notes: The below mentioned threat happened early this week and does NOT affect TODAY. Do you feel the Board of Education should be more forthcoming to let the Press know, (and parents directly) about such matters?

A 7th grade female student made a threat yesterday afternoon about bringing a gun to BIS today. It was reported to the Worcester County Sheriffs Department. Evidently there were about 5 families who did so. The DARE counselor thanked the students and families for doing the right thing & let them know how great they were to 'see something, say something!' The police are investigating & the matter is being handled.

Unfortunately the girl in question has semi-regular trouble at school, gets in fights, etc, broken home, etc.

  1. Will she now have a criminal record for terroristic threats, or will she be OK to buy a gun at 18?

  2. And this is what your propaganda MSM political hype does to your children. This won't end until they make our schools prisons.

  3. This is a tough question! The more public we make this, the more crybaby liberals will use this for more Gun Control. Having said that, Parents should be made aware immediately, not the public. Just my thoughts.

  12. Kids running wild! No direction, no accountability, no fear of punishment. All because we want to be politically correct instead of logical with common sense. Think back to when you were a kid. If our parents gave us and inch, we would try to take a yard. Kids today are doing the same thing, nothing has changed. Except, we were called out on it and punished for it in a way so we didn't do it again. Today, the parents idea of punishment is to stand in a corner for time out. I have two grandchildren and love them to death. To be honest, they are wild in their own home. When they come to Grandpa, and granny's house they know better and behave in a civilized manner. Why, because they know we don't play and have tanned their hides more than once. Society is accepting irresponsible behavior of these kids as the norm and making excuses for it and it has got to stop if we want all this turmoil to stop.
