In a speech delivered at Georgetown University, Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday warned that free speech is under attack on U.S. college campuses, citing recent examples where school administrators banned speech deemed offensive, set up “cramped” free speech zones, dis-invited speakers and even offered counseling ahead of planned speeches.
Sessions pointed to a survey by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education that found that 40 percent of U.S. college speech codes “substantially infringe” on protected speech.
He cited numerous examples of university policies that infringe on free speech..

Trump delays Air Force One to call officer injured in motorcade crash
President Donald Trump delayed Air Force One’s departure from Indianapolis on Wednesday until after he was able to talk with a motorcycle officer who crashed in the motorcade to the airport.
Initial reports said Trump called the officer during the flight back to Washington, but the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police tweeted Thursday that the president delayed the flight.
Robert Turner, a police officer from Indianapolis, broke an ankle in the fall on Interstate 70. A photographer captured the officer on the ground with his uniform ripped.
Police released a cellphone video of Turner in the hospital taking the call from the president. He was wearing a neck brace, but laughed and appeared to be in good spirits.

The Leftmedia Love Affair With Totalitarianism
One of the greatest benefits of living in the U.S. is the constitutional protections of individual rights and freedoms that all Americans enjoy. But it is precisely those individual rights and freedoms that place limits on officials within government. The Left views such limits to government as socially problematic rather than beneficial. Witness the growing sentiment among college and university students who are actively questioning the value of freedom of speech — not only questioning it, but even calling for it to be prevented, with violence if necessary. For these social “justice” crusaders, individual freedom should always be subservient to collectivist “progressive” values.
It is in such a climate as this that one of the primary Demo/MSM propaganda fronts, The New York Times, is promoting communism (overtly this time), in a series of praise articles including, “When Communism Inspired Americans,” “Why Women Had Better Sex Under Socialism” and “The Little Red Book for Children.” This series, highlighting the “glory days” of communism, omits references to the countless millions of civilian men, women and children who were murdered or starved under these regimes.

Tim Allen Isn't Welcome in ABC's Sanctuary Network
The last time we heard from ABC, the network was canceling one of its most popular shows — “Last Man Standing” — because the star of the show, Tim Allen, is a little too conservative in the Age of Trump. Allen joked in March, “You’ve got to be real careful around [Hollywood]. You get beat up if [you] don’t believe what everybody believes. This is like ‘30s Germany.” That was more than enough for the corporate ax to fall on his hit show. The sitcom, by the way, averaged 8.3 million viewers on Friday night in its last season.
Months later, Allen is still understandably miffed. He said this week, “There is nothing more dangerous, especially in this climate, than a funny, likable conservative character.” In fact, “[ABC] couldn’t have handled this worse,” he insisted. “Second biggest show. [ABC] hadn’t won a Friday night in 15 years. They put us out to pasture on Friday and we won Friday. Big night for us. Big night for them.” Not good enough for a leftist network.
So what will replace “Last Man Standing”?

FBI Eyes China in Posting Hacked Documents on Chinese Dissident
Hackers linked to China electronically stole documents from a Washington law firm, Interpol and a Hong Kong bank that were then published online in a bid to discredit a dissident wanted by Beijing.
FBI agents are conducting an investigation into the cyber attack earlier this month that penetrated information systems at the law firm Clark Hill, according to people familiar with the investigation.
Private cyber investigators later traced the cyber attack to China and South Korea.
The hacking and release of sensitive documents on Twitter mirrors the Russian intelligence operation to sway the outcome of the 2016 presidential election in what U.S. intelligence have dubbed a cyber-enabled influence operation.
Until recently Clark Hill represented the dissident, Guo Wengui, who is a major target of the Beijing government after he began publicly speaking out about high-level corruption among Chinese leaders earlier this year.

Incoming: Here comes the NFL boycott
A growing population of sports fans is prepared to shun the National Football League following controversy over athletes who chose not to stand during the national anthem. The movement is escalating. Such hashtags as #BoycottNFL have emerged on Twitter, while there are not one but three Boycott the NFL sites on Facebook which have already accrued over 100,000 followers. One is asking Americans to turn off the games on Veteran’s Day next month.
News organizations in both Chicago and Boston report that local bars and VFW posts will no longer show NFL games on their premises. Bill DeFries — a military vet and restaurant owner in Beavercreek, Ohio — says he got “overwhelming” support from customers after imposing his own NFL ban. Then there is Schilling Distributing Company, a veteran-owned Louisiana beer distributor that is pulling all Bud Light products that use the NFL as a point of sale from their sales list.
“There is no need for us to ask our retailer partners to promote such controversial organizations to help sell product,” Vice President Charles “Buddy” Schilling noted in a statement.
Now there’s a call for a formal boycott of NFL games on Sunday.

Trump Drug Enforcement Agency choice to light up pot politics
President Trump will replace the nation's top anti-drug official Sunday, when Chuck Rosenberg steps down after more than two years leading the Drug Enforcement Administration, and marijuana partisans are anxiously awaiting his pick.
It's unclear who Trump will make acting administrator, or if that person will be a placeholder or a long-serving acting administrator like Rosenberg and his predecessor Michele Leonhart, who went three years without Senate confirmation.

Former Google Employee Engineering His Own A.I. Religion
Former Google engineer Anthony Levandowski is emerging from the shadow of a self-driving lawsuit to create a robot god.
The present continues to take inspiration from science-fiction author Isaac Asimov’s visions of the future. In “The Last Question,” Asimov conceived of an artificial intelligence project known as Multivac. Its purpose was to solve for the inevitable heat death of the universe, but in the end, it becomes that answer.
Levandowski seems to have taken that story very closely to heart. His newly founded Way of the Future organization, whose filings were first uncovered by Wired, exists to “develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on artificial intelligence and through understanding and worship of the Godhead contribute to the betterment of society.”
Yes, you read that right. To quote Wired’s Mark Harris, “God is a bot, and Anthony Levandowski is his messenger.” At least, that is the plan..

Scalise's Return Reminds Us What's at Stake
That Republican Rep. Steve Scalise is alive is a miracle. That he can walk is another, as evidenced in his dramatic return to Congress yesterday. Three months after being wounded by a would-be assassin, Scalise needed two walking crutches to make it to the House floor, and he entered to a long, rousing and emotional standing ovation from his colleagues.
The congressman’s return is a welcome sight during a time of political discord, and it’s also a reminder of that discord. Remember, it wasn’t just some nutcase who attempted to murder Scalise and numerous other Republicans practicing for the congressional baseball game, it was a socialist Bernie Sanders fanatic inspired by left-wing hate rhetoric.
Columnist Gary Bauer puts it in perspective: “After the Charlottesville riots, Congress passed, and President Trump signed, a resolution condemning white supremacist hate groups. The resolution also called on the federal government to investigate groups that are ‘fomenting and facilitating additional violence.’ Scalise’s would-be assassin was a fan of a Facebook page called ‘Terminate The Republican Party.’
Is the FBI investigating this group? Incredibly, that page is still active. Facebook doesn’t hesitate to pull content it finds offensive. But I guess that doesn’t qualify as ‘hate speech’ to the progressives who dominate Silicon Valley and the tech industry.”

True Colors: Colin Kaepernick's Foundation Donates $25,000 to Group Named After Convicted Cop-Killer Assata Shakur
Colin Kaepernick has a lot of rotten stuff to say about the police: he’s called them murderers without proof, he wore “pig socks,” which depicted cops as pigs, and he’s compared cops to slave catchers. Now, it appears he’s put his money where his mouth is.
According to the Washington Times, Colin Kaepernick’s foundation donated $25,000 to a foundation named convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur.
The $25,000 donation to the Chicago-based group Assata’s Daughters, occurred in April, and was a part of a larger, $1 million pledge.
Shakur was convicted of murdering New Jersey state trooper Werner Foerster in 1973 and sentenced to life in prison. However, she eventually broke out of prison and escaped to Cuba, where she continues to live as a fugitive.

Surprising New Treatment Beats Arthritis Pain
A drug used to treat lameness in horses has been found to have an enormous ability to beat osteoarthritis pain in humans.
The substance, administered to patients by injection, has been hailed in Australia – where its use against osteoarthritis was pioneered – as the first blockbuster drug since anti-cholesterol pills.
It also has the potential to delay or completely eliminate the need for osteoarthritis-related hip and knee replacements, experts say.
More than 27 million Americans are affected by osteoarthritis - a degenerative disease that is the most common form of arthritis. According to the National Institutes of Health, more than 50 million Americans suffer from some form of arthritis.
The drug is pentosan polysulfate sodium (known in medical circles as PPS) and its use in human osteoarthritis sufferers was spearheaded by a team led by the University of Sydney’s Dr. Peter Ghosh, a professor in the school’s medical faculty.
Co-researcher Dr. Jegan Krishnan – an orthopedic surgeon who is also a professor of medicine at Flinders University in Adelaide – says small trials of the drug involving human patients have proved highly successful.

Republicans Try to Save Obamacare After Repeal Failure
After failing to repeal Obamacare, Senate Republicans continue to work with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to rescue Obamacare through a bipartisan bailout and stabilization package.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced on Tuesday that they will not vote to repeal Obamacare through the Graham-Cassidy block grant proposal. Now only a few days later, Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee chairman Lamar Alexander (R-TN) continues to work with committee ranking member Patty Murray (D-WA) and Chuck Schumer on bipartisan legislation to bail out Obamacare.
Schumer revealed Thursday that the deal was “on the verge” of a bipartisan compromise that would bail out the Obamacare exchanges.
Schumer said on the Senate floor Thursday, “They both inform me that they’re on the verge of an agreement, a bipartisan healthcare agreement to stabilize markets and lower premiums.”
Senate Republican initially nixed talks with Democrats to bail out Obamacare after the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare bill became a viable option to repeal Obamacare; however, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) once again derailed the Obamacare repeal process by opposing the Graham-Cassidy repeal bill. Now that McCain halted Obamacare repeal, Senate Republicans want to push for a bill that would help preserve Obama’s hallmark legislation rather than fulfill their seven-year promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

VP Mike Pence to Be Keynote Speaker at Pro-Amnesty Koch Brothers’ Retreat
Vice President Mike Pence will be the keynote speaker at pro-mass immigration GOP mega-donors Charles and David Koch’s New York political strategy retreat.
Pence is expected to speak on public policy at the Koch brothers’ retreat, which will be held on Oct. 12 and 13, according to USA Today. The retreat is also to cultivate Republican candidates for the 2018 midterm elections who are in-line with the Kochs’ open borders agenda.
“As a legislator, governor and now vice president, Pence truly understands how good policies can help all Americans improve their lives,” Koch network spokesperson James Davis said in a statement. “Our members are looking forward to insight as we discuss plans to reverse the trajectory toward a two-tiered society and move toward one of mutual benefit, and a brighter future for all.”
Pence’s speaking engagement at the event is at odds with his social conservative history and base of supporters, as the Koch brothers remain heavily supportive of cultural libertarianism, open borders, the importation of cheap foreign labor, and driving down wages for American workers who are forced to compete with a never-ending flood of chain migration.

The Long Game: Bannon Creates Political Coalition to Smash the Establishment
Former White House strategist and current Breitbart News executive chairman Steve Bannon has teamed up with conservative donors Robert and Rebekah Mercer to promote insurgent candidates to challenge the GOP establishment and create an organizational apparatus to advance the populist and economic nationalist policies championed by those candidates.
Kenneth P. Vogel and Jeremy W. Peters report in the New York Times:
“We’ve got a long haul in front of us,” Mr. Bannon said in an interview at the Capitol Hill townhouse that doubles as his part-time residence and as the Washington headquarters of Breitbart News, the website owned in part by the Mercers and run by Mr. Bannon.
[Bannon] and Mr. Mercer began hashing out a rough outline for a “shadow party” that would advance Mr. Trump’s 'America First' agenda — even if Mr. Trump himself strayed from it — during a five-hour meeting last month at the family’s Long Island estate a couple of days before Mr. Bannon’s resignation from the White House.
Early plans call for the creation of a sort of think tank to articulate the animating issues of the coalition, according to donors and operatives who have talked to Mr. Bannon, the Mercers or their allies. They say the coalition will ally with existing groups on specific issues and will support vetted candidates and causes.

Ocean City Police Chief Responds to ‘Appalling Behavior’ During H2Oi Weekend
To the citizens of Ocean City:
Ocean City is a vibrant tourist destination known for our beautiful beaches, family friendly events, great dining and amenities, and our safe, clean community. Tourism is the foundation of our economy and we pride ourselves on welcoming everyone to enjoy our beautiful city. At the same time, we expect our guests to respect our town, our citizens, and our laws and ordinances.
Unfortunately, this weekend brought visitors with much different intentions. While H2O International is not, and has never been, a city-hosted or sanctioned event and was officially cancelled this year, we still hosted thousands of participants. There were a handful of visitors this weekend who came to simply enjoy our city. Unfortunately, it was the vast majority of the participants that quickly ruined it for everyone, with unruly behavior and zero respect for our laws and property. The isolated incidents of violence combined with heavy traffic, littler, rude behavior, and negligent driving cast a very negative view over the whole weekend.
Considering the number of unruly visitors, I believe our officers, together with partner agencies, including the Maryland State Police, Maryland Transportation Authority, and sheriff’s officers from Worcester, Wicomico and Queen Anne’s counties, did an outstanding job of preventing events from escalating even further. I am extremely proud to have witnessed the level of professionalism displayed by our officers in the face of such adversity.
Based on preliminary reports:
- Officers responded to 2,735 total calls for service from Thursday, September 28 through Sunday, October 1. Only 21% of those calls for service were initiated by citizens, which tells me that our officers were proactive and addressed any issues quickly throughout the entire weekend.
- Several of these calls for service involved large crowds of unruly individuals seeking to instigate police officers to engage them. Our officers remained disciplined and monitored the crowds, taking measured action as required
- Several officers suffered minor injuries during interactions with arrestees. On Saturday night, one of our officers and a Worcester County Sheriff’s deputy were struck and thrown to the hood of a fleeing vehicle, forcing officers to fire their weapons. Thankfully, no officers or suspects were seriously injured as a result of this incident.
- Officers arrested 78 individuals. While one individual was charged with attempted murder, the majority face disorderly conduct, open container, 2nd degree assault and other similar charges.
It was very discouraging, to say the least, to see the amount of destruction to our town and the appalling behavior of many visitors. From trash throughout parking lots to tire markings at many intersections, our Public Works crews have worked diligently to restore the beauty of our town. We express our sincerest thanks to them for their efforts.
We understand our residents’ concerns about the events that occurred over the weekend and assure you that we share those concerns. While we assess the weekend and consider actions to take moving forward, it is critically important that we not allow one weekend to take away from what Ocean City is: a safe, beautiful, and clean place where families live and visit.
Ross Buzzuro, Chief of Police

Steven Crowder and producer infiltrate antifa prior to Ben Shapiro event
CRTV host Steven Crowder wants to know why exclusive footage of his infiltration into the left-wing group known as antifa prior to a speech by author Ben Shapiro was rebuffed by media outlets.
A speech at the University of Utah this week by The Daily Wire’s editor-in-chief resulted in multiple detentions and one arrest for suspicion of disorderly conduct and assault, but video by Mr. Crowder shows a side of the story that hasn’t received much attention.
“Louder with Crowder” producer Jared Monroe successfully went undercover with antifa protesters who planned to use “plain clothes and hard tactics.” He notified police when he was given an ice pic for stabbing attendees.
One member of the group said he had guns in the trunk of his car in case “s– hit the fan.”
“Why did it take a late-night podcast host and his producer to do this kind of journalism?” Mr. Crowder asks in a YouTube video uploaded Thursday. “Cryptic messaging apps, private groups handing out illegal weapons and planning tactics — you mean to tell me that no one at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN with billions of dollars in resources could have done this?”
The duo’s video, which has received nearly 900,000 views in less than 24 hours, shows Mr. Crowder offering his footage to local reporters and producer Dan Harris of ABC’s “Nightline.”
The host said everyone at the Young Americans for Freedom event shunned his story despite having footage that was verified by cops on the scene.

San Juan Mayor: ‘I Was Asking for Help’ and NOT Attacking Trump
On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” San Juan Mayor Carmen YulÃn Cruz responded to criticisms of her by President Trump by stating that she was asking for assistance and not making “nasty” comments about the president. She also pointed Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan, the leader of military hurricane efforts in Puerto Rico, saying that he had insufficient amounts of troops and equipment.
Cruz began by talking about private donations and stated, “It’s a good dawn. And we’re moving ahead. And that’s what it’s all about. It’s about saving lives. It’s not about politics. It’s not about petty comments. it’s about moving forward, putting boots on the ground, and saving lives.”

Neighboring mayor praises Trump, says San Juan mayor playing 'politics,' AWOL at meetings
The mayor of a Puerto Rican city that sits next to San Juan praised the administration's help Saturday night, and chided the "politics" of San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, who has been criticizing President Trump.
In an interview with Secrets, Guaynabo Mayor Angel Perez Otero said that in several meetings with FEMA and U.S. military officials about the recovery effort, Yulin Cruz has been absent. "I've seen other mayors participating. She's not," said Perez Otero.
Despite days of praise for the government's effort from Puerto Rico's governor, Yulin-Cruz has become the new face of the island in the media with her sharp criticism of the administration's efforts.
Asked if he has seen similar shortfalls and non-communication from the administration, Perez Otero said "that's not been my experience." He added, "There is a lot of politics in Puerto Rico."

Chuck Schumer blasts GOP for not including Democrats in tax reform negotiations
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer argued Republican-led efforts on tax reform would only benefit the wealthiest Americans and would exclude Democrats from the bargaining table.
"We Democrats sent a letter to the Republican leadership and the president, said that here were three things that we thought tax reform ought to have," Schumer began while speaking on CBS' "Face the Nation."
"One, tax breaks ought not to go to the top 1 percent, but ought to be focused on the middle class; two, ought not blow a hole in the deficit; three, ought to be done in bipartisan way not through reconciliation. Unfortunately, the Republican plan doesn't agree with any of those."
Earlier in the day, White House Director of the Office of Management and Budget Mick Mulvaney said anyone who attempts to describe the full outcomes of tax reform "is lying to you" because so many of the details have yet to be hammered out or negotiated.

From gerrymandering to voter purging – the critical issues facing the supreme court
Trump’s travel ban and a much-discussed gay wedding cake also on the docket for the highest court in a new season that promises high judicial drama
When Ruth Bader Ginsburg said the upcoming US supreme court season would be“momentous”, the celebrated liberal justice probably didn’t mean it as a good thing.
With the addition to the bench of Trump’s nominee Neil Gorsuch, and a broad swath of ideological cases on the docket, conservatives hope the supreme court is on the brink of a banner year.
Gorsuch will be another conservative voice on the court, continuing the trend of recent years, and once again, moderate justice Anthony Kennedy – Gorsuch’s former mentor – will be the key swing vote.
The court opens on Monday with consideration of worker class-actions lawsuits, and on Tuesday justices will consider political gerrymandering of election districts, the biggest case of its kind in more than a decade. Meanwhile a case out of Ohio seeks to legalize voter purging, and a cake maker’s objection to gay marriage in Colorado will come under the microscope.
And another closely watched one out of Illinois could financially undermine public-sector unions in 22 states, with knock-on effects for the Democratic party.
Kennedy is rumored to be retiring soon. And given a president at war with the judiciary, some fear his departure could lead to a boost in the powers of the executive branch.
For now, with a few key exceptions, this term could be decided by a single justice.

Protesting America on Foreign Soil: Three Dolphins Kneel for Anthem in London, Saints Kneel for Coin Toss But Stand for Anthem
London was the scene of one of the largest anthem protests in the entire league last weekend, when over 20 players and executives from the Jaguars and Ravens took a knee, or raised a fist in protest. This week, however, the scene at Wembley Stadium looked far different.
As the NFL’s Week 4 kicked off, the New Orleans Saints took a knee during the coin toss but stood for the anthem. Meanwhile, across the field, three members of the Miami Dolphins took a knee during the playing of the national anthem.
The three Dolphins who refused to stand were Kenny Stills, Julius Thomas, and Michael Thomas all took a knee during the national song.
This is the second week in a row that Stills and Julius Thomas took a knee in protest during the anthem. For Michael Thomas, it was his first time kneeling.

Rohrabacher: Assange Has 'Absolute Proof' of Who Gave Him DNC Emails
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) says he HAS SEEN evidence that could disprove Russia-Trump collusion accusations once and for all, but he's having a hard time getting his message through to the president.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has offered to provide the evidence in exchange for a pardon from President Trump.
The congressman expressed confidence in an interview with OAN that the president will "get behind this" as soon he hears the message.
"I think he will because I'm going to try to overcome the obstacles in the way -- which happens to be his staff," he said. "So in the next few weeks, my job is to try to make sure the president's staff doesn't fence him off from this offer."
Rohrabacher added, "I think that when he hears that there's been an offer made, he will insist on knowing about it."
He said that the one person who could prove or disprove charges that Trump and Russia colluded on hacking the DNC is Julian Assange -- and no one has even bothered to go see him. Last month, Rohrabacher went to London to visit him at the Ecuadorian embassy himself.
"He has a story to tell," Rohrabacher said. "He's the one guy that I think the American people and the people in the world need to hear, and he's the one guy that now our intelligence agencies as well at the powers that be in Washington don't want anybody to hear...."

Teachers union granted restraining order against Project Veritas
A circuit court judge granted a teachers union a restraining order against Project Veritas, an organization run by conservative activist James O'Keefe, and one of its alleged operatives.
The restraining order, granted Friday by Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Brian Sullivan, prevents Project Veritas and Marisa Jorge, who allegedly works for the organization, from releasing video footage and information obtained during an operation at the Michigan chapter of the American Federation of Teachers.
AFT alleged Jorge used a fake name, Marissa Perez, to land an internship with AFT Michigan starting in May, "ostensibly to obtain material Project Veritas could use in one of its infamously misleading hit videos," according to a complaint filed in court.
Jorge said she was a student at the University of Michigan interested in becoming a public school teacher, but AFT believes she is really a graduate of Liberty University in Virginia who now works for O'Keefe's organization.

FEMA Administrator: San Juan Mayor Needs to Get Plugged Into Our Joint Efforts
FEMA Administrator Brock Long said President Donald Trump's tweeted criticisms of San Juan's mayor during recovery efforts from Hurricane Maria were about her not sufficiently working with federal officials responding to the crisis.
Asked on CNN Saturday about Trump's tweets that lit into Carmen YulÃn Cruz, Brock said FEMA had great communication with the Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló as part of the "unified command effort."
"The problem that we have with the mayor unfortunately is that unity of command is ultimately what's needed to be successful in this response," Long said. "The bottom line is we've had a joint field office established for numerous days in San Juan, and what we need is for the mayor, the good mayor, to make her way to the joint field office and get plugged into what's going on and be successful, so I think that's the bottom line with that tweet."
Cruz has blasted the federal response to the storm recovery and said people are dying because of the bureaucratic issues, but Trump has said thousands of workers are on the island doing great work.

Kevin McCarthy blames healthcare failure on 'one or two' senators who want to 'hold everything up'
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy lamented Saturday the Senate's inability to pass a bill overhauling Obamacare, and placed the blame for its failure to do so on "one or two" senators who want to "hold everything up."
"Leadership has done all the battle going in there," McCarthy, R-Calif., told MSNBC of Senate leadership. "To me, it seems one or two individuals wants to hold everything up, and that's the frustration I've had with the history of the Senate, where one individual can hold everything up."
The Senate revived its attempts to overhaul the 2010 healthcare law earlier this month with legislation from Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. But those efforts collapsed earlier this week when it became clear there was not enough support from Republican senators for the bill to pass.
Republican Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, John McCain of Arizona, and Susan Collins of Maine all came out against the Graham-Cassidy proposal ahead of an expected vote, and others were skeptical of it.

SALISBURY MAN CONVICTED ON 2nd DEGREE MURDER
On September 29, 2017, Daquan Cartier Dickerson, age 21 of Salisbury, was convicted of the charges of Murder 2ndDegree, Assault 1st Degree, Attempted Armed Robbery, and several Conspiracy and Handgun counts. A Wicomico County Jury returned the Guilty verdict after a four day trial.
The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred just after midnight on May 11, 2016, in the area of The Village of Mitchell Pond (Waterside Apartments) Parsons Rd, Salisbury, Maryland. Dickerson and two co-defendants, Joshua Perry and Gerald Savage, Jr., drove to the apartments, where Dickerson and Perry exited their vehicle and approached victim Keonte Gaskins, age 21, shooting Gaskins multiple times, resulting in Gaskins’ death. Dickerson confronted Gaskins in retaliation for an earlier robbery, even though Gaskins was not involved in the robbery.
Perry and Savage have already pled guilty to 1st and 2nd Degree Murder and related charges, respectively, for their role in the homicide. Both co-defendants testified at Dickerson’s trial.
Dickerson has not been sentenced for this conviction and is being held without bail pending sentencing and on charges of an unrelated crime.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Ella M. Disharoon commended the Salisbury Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit and allied agencies, for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Ms. Disharoon recognized the work of key investigators Sergeant Sabrina Metzger of MSP Homicide Unit and Detective Anthony Foy and Lieutenant Jason King of the SPD Criminal Investigation Division. Ms. Disharoon also thanked Sr. Assistant State’s Attorneys Kristen M. Schultz and Karen Dean who prosecuted the case.
Mayor Of San Juan Says She Doesn’t Have Time For Distractions…During ANOTHER Pointless TV Interview
The more I read about the Mayor of San Juan, the more I dislike her.
She’s been going back and forth with President Trump. She’s accused him of failing the Puerto Rican people, and Trump has accused her of acting like a politically motivated ingrate.
You may not like the tone of Trump’s tweets, but after listening to this cop give the REAL down low on what’s going on (she claims Carmen Yulin Cruz isn’t allowing people to distribute aid for politically motivated reasons), I agree with Trump even more.
Let that simmer.
Listen though. Carmen DOES NOT have time for any more distractions (except for endless TV interviews, of course).

The Results Are In: 89% Of Catalans Vote For Independence
In further proof that Spain's brutal crackdown on today's Catalan independence referendum only helped bolster the seccessionist cause, the regional government announced that voters had overwhelmingly voted in favor of independence, with 89% voting to separate from Spain.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, Catalan government spokesman Jordi Turull announced that 2,262,424 ballot papers had been counted. There were 2,020,144 "yes" votes, or just under 90% of the total, and just 176,565 "no" votes.
The regional government has promised to officially declare independence within 48 hours.
Even though Spanish authorities ruled that the vote was illegal, Dimitrij Rupel, head of the International Parliamentary delegation on Catalonia’s referendum, said at a news conference in Barcelona on Sunday that the referendum on independence was prepared in agreement with Spanish existing legislation, potentially setting up the regional government for a legal battle.

HS Football Players Booted For Protesting
A coach kicked a two Texan high school football players off of the team after the players protested during the national anthem Friday.
Senior Larry McCullough knelt and sophomore Cedric Ingram-Lewis put his fist up in the air during the national anthem before Victory & Praise Christian Academy’s football game, reported the Houston Chronicle. Ronnie Mitchem, the team’s coach and pastor, kicked them off the team directly afterwards.
“I don’t have any problem with those young men,” Mitchem told the Chronicle. “We’ve had a good relationship. They chose to do that and they had to pay for the consequences.”
Mitchem, a former Marine, had previously told the school’s players that he did not want them to kneel during the anthem, believing that the action offends veterans and distracts rather than calls attention to issues. The coach said he wanted the players to express their discontent by authoring and distributing a paper about political issues that troubled them, or by kneeling in the end zone after a touchdown.

As North Korea threatens electromagnetic pulse attack, questions over lapses in US grid security rise
For more than 15 years, security and intelligence officials — including former CIA Director James Woolsey — have been raising the alarm bells about the vulnerability of the U.S. power grid to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack. Only now as tensions with North Korea quickly escalate — with the rogue nation refusing to back down from its nuclear testing and threats of such an onslaught — is the matter really generating attention.
But according to U.S. defense and security officials, while there are players purporting to protect the nation’s critical infrastructure given millions of American lives on the line, the reality is that no one really knows what will happen and what can be done.
“We recognize that an EMP event would have extremely dire consequences for the entire country, but where the challenge comes is in attempting to quantify those impacts,” one high-ranking Department of Homeland Security official, who requested anonymity, told Fox News. “This is not something we have had a lot of real world experience with.”

No, Russia Didn’t Hack 21 States’ Elections-- Fake News
The Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald, in an article Thursday, took a hammer to widespread reporting over the last week of Russia’s attempts to hack the election systems of 21 American states, the piece arguing for more skepticism on “the Russia story.”
Outlets like the USA Today, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show, and the Associated Press went wild at the Department of Homeland Security’s announcement that they, as Maddow put it, “knew at least by June that 21 states had been targeted by Russian hackers during the election … targeting their election infrastructure.”
In Greenwald’s words, “So what was wrong with this story? Just one small thing: it was FALSE.”
Greenwald goes on to describe the precipitous narrative collapse this entire story suffered Wednesday, as DHS was forced to equivocate and then backtrack on the dubious claim. The election authorities of California and Wisconsin hit back hard at the allegation they had been infiltrated by Russian cyber attacks.
With no evidence to support the original claims, DHS retracted them. In Wisconsin’s case, a Russian hacking attempt of the state’s election infrastructure became a “scan” of a state agency totally unrelated to the election. Like Russia stories before it, the 21 vulnerable state election authorities slide down the memory hole.

NFL Fans Boo Players Who Kneel
National Football League fans made it clear they are done with the players kneeling during games when they booed them Sunday in Baltimore during the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers game.
It happened, after the announcer’s voice came over the loud-speaker and explained that, “before the singing of the national anthem please join Ravens players and coaches and the entire Ravens organization to pray that we as a nation can embrace, kindness, unity, equality, and justice for all Americans.”
At first fans cheered as the players walked together hand in hand onto the field. However, it was when they took a knee, fans began to boo them very loudly.
Last Sunday, players kneeled during the singing of the “Star Spangled Banner” after President Donald Trump suggested during his rally in Alabama that owners should fire players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.

Here’s Why It’s So Difficult For The US Military To Help Puerto Rico
The U.S. military faces a significant logistical challenge with ongoing disaster relief operations in Puerto Rico, where millions of American citizens require assistance.
Puerto Rico is nearly 1,000 miles away from the closest U.S. state, and Hurricanes Irma and Maria severely damaged many of its ports. President Donald Trump highlighted the sheer distance of of the commonwealth in a White House appearance Tuesday, saying “it’s the most difficult job because it’s on the island. It’s on an island in the middle of the ocean. It’s out in the ocean. You can’t just drive your trucks there from other states.”
“This isn’t like Florida where we can go right up the spine, or like Texas where we go right down the middle and we distribute. This is a thing called the Atlantic Ocean. This is tough stuff,” Trump lamented, echoing the same concerns of U.S. military officials. Chief of the National Guard Bureau Air Force Gen. Joseph Lengyel told reporters Monday that Puerto Rico only had approximately 1,400 guardsman on the island before the crisis, and that any additional forces must be flown in.
Compounding the distance and the lack of manpower is the sheer level of destruction in Puerto Rico. “80% of the transmission system and 100% of the distribution system are damaged,” the Pentagon said in a statement Tuesday, adding that “approximately 44% of the population is without drinking water” and “eleven of 69 hospitals have fuel or power.”

NFL's Week 4 sees dozens of players kneel, sit, raise fists during national anthem
Dozens of NFL players took a knee during the national anthem as others sat or raised their fists before the games of Week 4 Sunday, a day after President Trump tweeted that it that it was "very important” for players to stand.
Still, the number of kneeling players was down from last weekend, when more than 200 athletes took a knee after Trump lashed out at athletes who protest during the national anthem.
Among the players who kneeled Sunday: half of the San Francisco 49ers. The team released a video of the athletes with the caption: "Together." Their opponents, the Arizona Cardinals, stood.

U.S. Women’s Soccer Star Protests National Anthem Again Despite Warning, Pays The Price
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kicked off the National Anthem protests in the NFL and they spread like wildfire. A year has passed and the protests are still going strong — and they aren’t just in the NFL anymore. U.S. women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe took a knee during the National Anthem, but Team USA apparently isn’t too fond of her stunt.
U.S. Soccer released an official statement saying that both coaches and players are expected to remain standing during the National Anthem. But during a September 18th game against the Netherlands, Rapinoe still knelt, in protest of what she claims to be oppression and injustice in the United States.
Rapinoe originally began kneeling in solidarity with Kaepernick, but U.S. Soccer was not impressed. “As part of the privilege to represent your country, we have an expectation that our players and coaches will stand and honor our flag while the national anthem is played,” a statement from the organization read.
Still, Rapinoe has been tweeting and retweeting support for the protests over the past several weeks.

Ravens fans boo hell out of own team for pre-anthem statement
Ravens national anthem singer Joey Odoms quit this week because of the fan reaction to player protest.
This is what he was talking about.
Before the Ravens hosted the Steelers on Sunday, the Baltimore team stepped to the sideline and took a knee as the PA announcer asked the stadium to take a moment “to pray that we as a nation embrace kindness, unity, equality and justice for all Americans.”

A Disgusting Display On CBS This Morning
While I couldn't stand the CBS Breaking News Special Report this morning where they desperately interviewed just about anyone stupid enough to claim they were a part of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, one woman couldn't resist flashing her boobs all over the screen. Now this wasn't a Miley Sirus concert, it was a mass shooting with some 50 people dead on NATIONAL TV! Talk about TACKY!
I actually switched over to GUNSMOKE because I just couldn't stand the repetitiveness of what CBS kept spewing.

Bar Owner Used Kaepernick And Lynch Jersey’s As Doormats- The Response Was Unexpected
If you were to visit this mans establishment, you might notice taped to the ground right outside his door, two NFL football jerseys. Obviously these jerseys are being used for floor mats. Can you guess which ones they are? I’ll give you first one because that is a no brainer – Colin Kaepernick – and boy does this bar get a lot of business because of him!
According to local media reports, the bar is called SNAFU Bar, and it gets a lot of business because it’s close to Lake Ozark. This same bar also had a Marshawn Lynch jersey fresh from his new team, the Oakland Raiders, taped right there in the ground next to Kaepernick’s 49ers one.
Well that was until a biased, PC dweeb on Facebook notice the picture that was posted by the bar owner, and started to cry about how it could be seen as a racist gesture.

Clinton Never Returned Donations From Owner of Site Linked to Underage Prostitution
Democratic politicians who received funds from Backpage.com's owners have been donating the money to charity
Hillary Clinton's campaign appears not to have returned or donated to charity the more than $5,000 in contributions from the former co-owner of a website linked to underage prostitution and whose donations have backed a number of current and former Democratic politicians into a corner.
Controversy surrounding donations from the owners of Backpage.com, an online classified website that has come under fire from politicians including Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), has forced a number of politicians—particularly in the state of Arizona—to return or donate the tainted contributions.
Jim Larkin, a former co-owner of Backpage, gave a $5,400 contribution on July 26, 2016, to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising effort between the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and more than 30 state Democratic parties. The money was then transferred to Hillary for America, Clinton's campaign committee.
The campaign appears to have not returned the money to Larkin, a search of Federal Election Commission records shows.

Governor Of Puerto Rico Says Trump Has Done Everything He Can To Help- Why Libs So Angry?
With the media going off on how President Trump is derelict in his duty to helping the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, the Gov. of the small island, Ricardo Rossello, has been claiming that the Trump administration has been nothing if not responsive to all of his pleas for help. Now does that sound like the liberal media is on top of things, and reporting on the facts? Of course not.
Trump is, and always be the enemy to the left, even when he gets it right.
Rossello responded with:
“I have to say that the administration has responded to our petitions. FEMA, Brock Long, has been on the phone virtually all the time with me, checking out how things are going.”
“The different components of the national guard, military, FEMA and our government are working together on the priorities.”

OJ Simpson released from prison after 9 years
The juice is officially loose after being released from a Nevada prison under the cover of darkness, officials announced Sunday.
O.J. Simpson was released from the Lovelock Correctional Center shortly after midnight, local time, and walked out to a waiting driver in the facility’s parking lot before driving away, officials said.
“I don’t have any information on where he’s going,” a spokeswoman said.
The former football star’s first moments of freedom in nearly nine years were documented in a brief video posted on the Nevada Department of Corrections’s Facebook page.
“Here you go, come out,” a woman can be heard saying as Simpson walks out of the building after signing his release forms.

Blowback? NFL Ticket Sales Crash 17.9% As Owners Lose Control Of Players
Probably just a coincidence... or just transitory, but The online ticket reseller TickPick told The Washington Examiner that sales have dropped 17.9 percent, far more than the usual Week Three fall...
17.9 percent decrease in NFL orders this week compared to the previous week.
Last year the drop was 10.8 percent in orders on Monday & Tuesday following Week Three games.
"We have seen a massive decrease in NFL ticket purchases this past week in comparison to years past. Week 3 seems to usually have less ticket orders than week 2, but this year ticket purchases are down more than 7 percent from this time last year,"said TickPick's Jack Slingland.
"While we can't specify if this decrease is due to the president's comments, player and owner protests, play on the field, or simply the continued division of consumer's media attention, the conversation around the NFL this week has focused on the president's comments as well as the players' and owners' reaction. As viewers continue to abandon their NFL Sunday habits, both the number of ticket sales and the purchase price of tickets will drop," he told us.

“Deal’s” format revolves around allowing contestants to compete for prizes that they then have the chance to trade up for more valuable prizes albeit with the risk of losing it all with a “zonk,” or a booby prize. Hall famously at the end of each episode tempted contestants with the “Big Deal” option of choosing a prize package hidden behind “Door No. 1, Door No. 2 or Door No. 3.”
