  1. Half the shore's police are over on 50 west near the bypass merge. Some one taking advantage of the distraction? or just coincidence.

  5. I just got back from Lunch. There were at least 15 police cars there with chopper Willey flying overhead! I saw State Police, Sheriff's office and City police cars. I saw the getaway care all smashed up in the medium strip. Talk about overkill!!!!

    1. Willy is a former pilot of the helicopter, not the actual helicopter. It’s a “median strip” not medium. Feel free to tell us how many people you think should be involved in catching a violent armed robbery suspect. Duh.

  13. That shows you how damn stupid cops are and hyped up on roids, where they have to get in to the action, wither it is a car chase, foot chase or something like it, they all got to get in on it, and what is funny is how they leave everyone else open to crime, and criminals... And it doesn't take a brain surgeon to know this is how cops are now and have to show force where all cops show up to a call, this also shows, there must be no crime in the city because all of the cops are at one call with nothing to do, which means we don't need to rise taxes to hire more cops...

That is what I would do if I had pull, I would go to the councils and say why do you need more money for police, they don't have any crime to investigate, and they are so slow with work, they can have the entire police force on one call... and then use their own data, which has been cooked, against them saying see here is the proof crime is down... your own stats... You can ultimately get them to admit the numbers are Cooked this way lol

    1. Have you considered applying to head up a cop agency. Someone with your expertise would be wonderful. Crime would be a thing of the past with you as boss.

    2. Come do a ride along at a local agency. It will open your eyes.

  15. 1:21 - if the thief had stopped when caught by police instead of run, maybe he wouldn't have crashed. It's on the low life - not the police. Put the blame where it belongs...the criminal thug. It's people like you who coddle thugs that have created much of the problems we now have.

  18. I counted 25 police vehicles -- marked and unmarked -- speeding north on Route 13 at Main St intersection, full sirens and lights just before 12:30pm.

If they got him then it wasn't overkill. What if it was your money or your family member.

  21. Is there even enough money in smallsbury's banks to make it worthwhile? Or someone just getting 3 hots and a cot for approaching winter?

  22. Anon 12:59 It's only a matter of time when you have no personnel working at banks as everything is going automated. Several banks in many states are already doing this.

  23. SBY has a lot of really stupid people who think it is a good idea to rob banks?

  27. Hey, 1:55...UP YOURS
I am the police, and I'm here to arrest you. You've broken the law. I did not write the law. I may even disagree with the law but I will enforce it. No matter how you plead, cajole, beg or attempt to stir my sympathies, nothing you do will stop me from placing you in a steel cage with gray bars. If you run away I will chase you. If you fight me I will fight back. If you shoot at me I will shoot back. By law I am unable to walk away. I am a consequence. I am the unpaid bill. I am fate with a badge and a gun. Behind my badge is a heart like yours. I bleed, I think, I love, and yes I *can* be killed. And although I am but one man, I have thousands of brothers and sisters who are the same as me. They will lay down their lives for me, and I them. We stand watch together. The thin-blue-line, protecting the prey from the predators, the good from the bad. We are the police
