Witnesses, (today) watched this City employee standing there smoking cigarettes for 2.5 hours but it's very hard to see him because he hides behind the light pole, (lol). We're told this individual is a regular at this spot because it's hidden and about a mile off the main road. This is the Onley Road area. By the way Jakey, the light he's standing under has been out for at least two years.
Evidence the street light does not work and hasn't for a good two years.
probably same employee that was there when I was living there in 1986 . my kithchen window faced that exact spot. We laughed about that back then, too.
2 for every 1 at county . And nobody cares. Have to be willfully blind to not see the DAILY abuse of thee taxpayer money Been told supervision has been told by HR to ignore for fear of lawsuits. Incompetence every @#$% where Vote em all out next election
Oh I love this. Keep taking pictures folks and sending them to Joe so he can keep putting them on here for people to see just how efficient these city employees are. Fire this jerk now, Jake Day.
The real injustice is Jake day create a position out of thin air for his buddy Stevenson allowing him to keep his previous salary as administrator and like his effort's as administrator his ability vto lead and manage others is being exposed

@7:59 I have to agree 100%. Day created the public works field operations position to put this guy in and I think the administrator pay roughly 96,000/year he was allowed to carry over with his demotion and this is what the employees that work under him are doing?? That's a pretty hefty waste of taxpayers money to pay this guy hiding for 2.5 hours and Stevenson probably off having lunch with Day
Even if you cannot see who the employee is, just get the tag number of the truck and you can figure out who is responsible for that truck and then you will know who is scamming the tax payers
This is who the person was talking about when you posted the pictures of the city police vehicles parked in front of the fire lane in front of Walmart and then one in an SUV taking up 4 or 5 spaces behind BWW.
Jake Day is a douche bag and so are most city employees.
I have to say from a personal standpoint I would be embarrassed to admit being employed by the city of Salisbury or wicomico county. The outright neglect of maintenance in the area is inexcusable
This public service oriented employee may have been told to check this intersection's traffic volume to see if a roundabout is warranted to handle the thousands pouring into the 'bury for Jake's Failed Festival. Or the 'bury mayorathon.
He has to remain there hours on end in all types of weather, and is unable to take comfort in the cozy confines of his late model truck.
Glad the mare, who just engineered a doubling of his personal salary, is giving the city employees an extra day off with pay! Money apparently grows on trees in the 'bury.
And collecting a paycheck you haven’t earned is thief . It is stealing from taxpayers! This guy should be a shamed of himself.

ReplyDeleteWrong way to light the intersection.
Hope he's not parked in a bike lane.
Excellent investigative work.
ReplyDeleteEasily impressed aren't you. It's probably the gay Stevenson.
DeleteWhen you have a screw up at the very top like Day, what do you expect from the morons that work underneath him. 🐒 see monkey 🐒 do. 🙈🙉🙊🐵
