Get Ready For More Fines In Salisbury Tomorrow Night

New Parking Meters, a $500.00 fine for smoking on City of Salisbury property and now, get this, tomorrow night the City will propose a $250.00 fine for shoveling snow into the street. Why, because these kids have too much time on their hands and nothing better to do. I guess this is how they'll come up with the additional funds to pay for the Mayors increased salary, SUCKERS.

  1. No problem with the $500.00 fine for smoking, think it's great!. Do wonder where the snow will go, and if the city will follow the same rules on it's property.

  2. 4:52 you know damn well they won't follow the laws... Because you are the slave and they are the master... Oh how you people forgot what our taxes are really for... We pay taxes for the city and county to remove the snow from the sidewalks, but they are to fat and lazy and doped up on power, and probably passes through some laws saying so, for them to order you or scare you with a fine if you don't do for yourself what your taxes you pay are supposed to be done by the municipalities...

It is crazy where things have gone, and how much worse it can get!!!! And I am sure you people will not only allow it, but cheer it on...

    1. 5:51-Here he is again! I can tell it's him by how often he uses, "you people." Scolding everyone else is not proactive and if you think it's doing your part, your dumber than I thought. Why don't you actually do something other than assume everyone is beneath you!

  3. Hope the city has clearly marked all its property. If not court should be a easy win.

  4. The population will leave Salisbury eventually and move on to other areas of the country where the Constitution actually means something. In the interim, Salisbury will experience a mass exodus leaving the remaining residents to pick up the tab via bigger tax bills. How's that liberalism working out for you, peeps?

  6. 452 you're a moron. Once they start fining for stupid things like smoking, it will only get worse. One day something you like to do will become a finable offense and then it won't be so great, will it? Idiots have no clue that with the robbing of one freedom, it leads to other freedoms being tromped upon. Slippery slopes that 452 and idiots of their ilk don't see until it's too GD late. FU 452. NO, I am not a smoker either.

  11. How about a fine for the city dumping snow in my driveway after I've just shoveled it? The snow in the street isn't mine.

  12. Well, what about the a$$hats that blow grass clippings and rocks in the street as you drive by. Do they get a fine because I will support that one 100%.

  15. This will be a cluster.
I clear my driveway and the street in front of my driveway so that I dont get stuck pulling out..
When I clear the street I just push it aside.
so now I will get fined for pushing the street snow out of the way of my driveway? How are they going to prove that the snow came from the street or the sidewalk? Are they going to measure it after the plows come by?

You morons need to go NORTH to communities that actually get significant amounts of snow. They will take one parking spot and fill it with all the snow as they shovel their spots out on the street. That way there is parking for all. smdh

  16. So the Mayor and cheif will have officers looking for smokers on city property to raise revenue rather than looking for real crime!

  17. The Mayor will certainly welcome his marathon runners and contry music festival attendees with these stupid ideas,

  18. These city folks are pathetic, yet Culver continues to placate them. He has got to go. If he can't stand firmly and clearly in opposition he is part of the problem.

  19. Joe as a fellow cigar smoker ...what exactly is “city property”?

  20. We should hold a smoke in at the GOB since it is not city property and watch Day and the cheif go nuts!

  21. Not the GOB property!

  23. The mayor lives in a house on Church st that he rents from John Cannon. He pays $2200 a month in rent, and it makes him feel close to the "people".

  24. 3:07 I,m like you, I thought they shot down the mayor's pay raise.

  25. Most of the intelligent young folks are moving to Berlin area.
Good move. They don't have idiots running the town like Salisbury.
Sad state of affairs in the Bury .
    Idiot Mayor and dingo Council.
Even worse than the County Yahoos.
Bunch of Bumpkins trying to run a City / County
No wonder all but the gangs are leaving.

  26. Can I smoke at the folks festival?

  27. don't have your plows shovel snow in my yard blocking my driveway, fair is fair.....unless of course you are a special interest politician

  28. Snow plow blocks your car in, shovel out into street, get fined and repeat.

  29. And just like that, it passed! Jake said it was because of all the businesses pushing snow out of their lots into the streets?

  30. I just found out that an out of town law firm intends to focus fully on these issues in Salisbury.Their objective will be to represent the many citizens who are impacted by theses fines. The next year will be interesting to watch.

  31. I hope these dumb azzezz post signs identifying the city of Salisbury properties. The city of Salisbury and extended county has gone to the Goonies. I'm so glad I've moved.

    ReplyDelete
  32. They will plow it onto ur property, but fine you for throwing it back, sounds like shitty Salisbury, but can't seem to find a way to get dope heads off street ,maybe they should fine them

    ReplyDelete
  33. A $500 fine for smoking is utterly ridiculous. Do you really want to be an SPD officer writing a $500 citation for smoking a cigarette yet say community policing is the answer? You can fire up a smoke in a building and its a $25 fine. It is so far out of reasonable I can't understand it. Its not a crime to smoke if you are 18. Is this even legal? One could argue that unless City property is clearly marked they have no reason to pay the fine think of how trespass and signage works.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'll bet these new fines are to help pay for the Festival the city can't afford, a lot of things are being added to help fluff that bill.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That city property belongs to the tax payers. Speak up and say hell no, you people should be showing up to those council meetings in droves and speaking up and telling them and reminding those idiots of who they work for! You get what you vote for! Glad i don't live in that ghetto.
