Breaking News: The $1.5 trillion Republican tax overhaul is ready for President Trump's signature after the House voted again on last-minute revisions

The House, forced to vote a second time on the $1.5 trillion tax bill, moved swiftly to pass the final version on Wednesday, clearing the way for President Trump to sign into law the most sweeping tax overhaul in decades.

House lawmakers, who approved the tax bill 227 to 203 on Tuesday, had to vote again after last-minute revisions were made to the bill in the Senate, which gave its approval early Wednesday morning.

  1. Shortly after this announcement, our esteemed governor announced his plans to allow MD residents to keep more of their money in light of the cap to SALT. If he can keep us under the SALT cap, we'll be overjoyed...meanwhile, the dumbocrats that fight this should be called out - so we can vote them out of office!

  2. I'm still skittish as to what hidden gems might be in this new tax plan. Kind of like we won't know until it's past.

  8. Not one democrat vote. This because the democrats don't want people to have any extra money. They will claim otherwise but all democrats do nothing but lie constantly. Garbage every single one of them. Useless wastes of space on this earth who have never and will not ever contribute anything positive to society.

  10. Republicans have won the Congress, the Senate and now the Presidency but they have never felt like winners. Even when they win, they have always been beaten down by the media and the Democrats.
It is really fun watching them get their first actual opportunity to see what a real win feels like. Their smiles and posture are wonderful to watch. Their tearing up a little just shows how deep this feeling goes.
They will want to experience this feeling over and over again. It is more addictive than all of the money in the world. Money can’t buy this. They will actually put their lives on the line to help the team win for us and win for America.
Most of them did not need to be replaced as much as they just needed to be recognized and respected.
    God Bless President Trump
God Bless Congress for Standing up and winning.
    God Bless America.
Merry Christmas and a Really New Year.

  11. All 505 pages are here if anyone cares to read it. Nothing hidden and easy to understand.

Basically taxes will be lower for the vast majority of Americans as well as small business owners. Corporate rate goes down 35% to 21%. Child tax credit expanded. Deductions preserved for student loans, medical expenses and tax break for grad students. Property tax deductions not just $10,000 so something to take up with state law makers.

  12. You just made the EBT crowd happy. Many companies are raising their minimum wage to $15/hr due to the corporate tax cut.

  15. What needs to happen are all those who do not support the President need to keep on paying more. Put their money where their mouths are and don't reap the benefits. Locals like that rank low class vulgar fool Molly Likovich who thought she looked cute walking around with that vagina hat on her head. That thing that spawned her too. They are some nasty skanks.

  18. Some of us republicans pay more than $10,000.00 per year in personal property taxes. Not everyone is happy. Time will tell if the changes in brackets makes up for the lost deduction.

  20. Does't anyone care anymore about the Deficit. Before the election it was all about bringing down the huge deficit. This will double or even triple the deficit. Bad bad bill for us...the working people.
