A Viewer Writes: SPD Violations

Walmart North @ approximately 12:15 PM on 12-15-17. I thought this SPD officer was issuing a citation to the Malone & Phillips and truck and the many other violators for parking in the Fire Lane. The officer was no where to be found. It appears this officer was violating the Fire Lane laws as well. I watched for some time and numerous vehicles kept parking in the Fire Lane without any worries. No wonder so many people break this law with these types of examples set. If the SPD is parking there to investigate an incident then Walmart should designate a parking space or two for the police cars and not for them to do their Christmas shopping. And if this officer is doing an investigation or shopping they should issue a couple of citations while they are there.
Parking behind Buffalo Wild Wings in Salisbury at approximately 12:00 PM. How many parking spaces does this SPD officer need? They should be working with the other officer issuing citations to people illegally parking in the Fire Lanes and Handicap spaces at Walmart, Sam's Club, Kohls and Wawa.

  1. These vehicles are being left in plain sight in shopping centers as some sort of theft deterrent during the last few days leading up to Christmas. Only in Salisbury, the great Jake "the visionary" day could be so dumb

  2. Too bad vehicles didn't park all the way around the police vehicle blocking him in so he couldn't move, but then I'm sure they would have been fined for parking incorrectly.

  3. I will be perfectly frank with your questions about officers at walmart :
    1. they will not enforce handicap parking violations because they have been accused of profiling (mostly racist).
2: they can park where ever they want , if you don't like it make a citizens arrest.
3: they need to do their Christmas shopping just like everyone else

  4. it's walmarts private police force when they are not delivery pizza.
so how's things working out for ya bury? what a ghetto!

  6. So let me get this straight... If cops aren't around and a theft, robbery, or assault happens then they're the bad guys.

If they park too far away while responding for a call and have a slow response time when something happens elsewhere then they're still the bad guy.

What can any of these guys do right in everyone's opinion? When I'm shopping I'm glad that cops are around to minimize the riff raff.

  9. Did you ever think that due to the increased holiday crowds that the police are inside keeping the public safe? And/or perhaps they were in the loss prevention office taking a report. Their vehicle needs to be close to the exit incase an urgent call comes in.

  10. Silly Wabbit, don;t you know laws are for slaves and not the for the elites or in this case, laws don't apply to the ones set to enforce said laws, which is why they half of the time don't even know that laws they enforce... They just "TRY" to help the first person who calls them... They don't give a shit about facts, or right from wrong, or who did what... It all comes down to who called them first...

But you all will see it eventually, when you are harassed by one of these so called corrupt cops...

  11. Do you not find it interesting that the City of Salisbury has chosen to load the stores up, (according to commenters here) with alleged customer protection THIS YEAR vs all other years? I thought crime was down?

  12. I haven't seen any "loading up" of stores with police. It is nice to see police presence in the parking lots, though, even if the vehicles are there with no officer.

  13. Next time you see an illegally parked Police car, take a pair of lineman's pliers and cut off the valve stems on the tires. Let him explain that to his/her supervisor!

    2. You are right.. get a valve stem adjuster and just deflate them. There's no damage in deflation.

What an ass! Only 3 is close to correct. Another police agency should have pulled up and issued him a citation.

The one taking up 4 parking spaces should lose a day's pay. Very bad reflection on the Salisbury Police Department.

I knew this dumb defense would pop it's ugly head. Breaking the law is setting a piss poor example for the Salisbury Police Department.

What if an ambulance or fire truck had an emergency and someone died because this police officer was too lazy to walk a few more feet. What if the building burnt down with customers in it because police cars and "shoppers" were illegally parking in the fire lanes.

So Walmart gets special privileges, but other stores don't. Intelligent comment buddy.

And/or perhaps they were in the loss prevention office taking a report. Their vehicle needs to be close to the exit incase an urgent call comes in.
So it's Ok for them to illegally park in the Fire Lane setting a great example for other customers. Intelligent comment buddy.

No wonder the City of Salisbury keeps electing Morons to the City Council because idiots like this get to vote.

Exactly. If crime was down as Jake Day and Jim Ireton keep preaching then we wouldn't need all these cops to "keep the customers safe."

Because they are not there loading up the stores with police. This officer is doing his Christmas shopping because with Muir Boda doing security they don't need the police.

  22. I would like to know why that officer taking up 4 or 5 parking spaces behind Buffalo Wild Wings thinks he can break the law. Can you imaging the outrage if an ordinary citizen did this.

    ReplyDelete
  23. With dates and times of these infractions it's not going to be hard to find out who they are, but nothing will happen.

  24. I remember once seeing a Salisbury PD officer going around issuing HC citations, but that was only one time and I thank them for that.

  25. This officer in front of Walmart is parked right under a "No Parking - Fire Lane" sign. That yellow pole is evidence of that. Barbara Duncan why aren't you doing your job. No wonder you have a department full of bad cops that can't get jobs at the Sheriff's Office or the State Police.

  26. Walmart in fruitland does the sane thing, they leave a marked fruitland police car out in front of store as some kind of deterrent

  29. if there is a fire or an emergency the officer will be the first one to know about it when he gets a call over his radio and he will have plenty of time to get to his car and move it before the fire truck or ambulance even gets there.

  31. SPD is the primary law enforcement agency in their jurisdiction.Which means they are the boss. No other agency can come in and issue their parked vehicles any citations for parking...no MSP or WCSO can do that...lol.. people need to get a life!
