  1. Showboat Jake. How many times did he swing before he hit the meter? Smells like Chris Demone's idea.

  5. I have a feeling something with the new parking meters isn't working correctly and they need the time to get them fixed. This was not a kind hearted gesture.

  6. The old meters could certainly be sold as surplus (if they aren't destroyed)

I'm sure there are municipalities who would want them.

  7. Send that idiot a bill for the Damaged meter.

  8. Why would you destroy the old parking meter. Don't they have resale value?

  9. Why waste the tax payer owned parking meter?

Too bad it didn't come back and smack him in the face and break that beak of his!

Good idea. Someone should lock Day up for destroying city property. Who gave him the right to do that?

  12. PEOPLE! Why pay for parking on a street you already bought and paid for and continue to pay for with continuous taxes... How about just provide the spaces Jake. You already charged us to park with the the fees, registrations and taxes we already pay for the privilege to drive. Parking meters are double taxation and target drivers unfairly.

  14. Most towns with smart leadership have done away with parking meters. Many don't patronize businesses where they have to pay to park.

  15. Not much of a event to seek a photo op. You would think a mayor would dress the part of a mayor, especially for a photo.

  17. If you really wanted a selfie with some punch you should have made parking free so business would pick up down town.

  19. They'll go to the auction site and somebody will pick them all up for about a dollar apiece.
