Breaking News: The death toll in the Texas church massacre has grown to 26, and at least 20 were injured. The youngest victim was 5 and the oldest 72.

A gunman wearing all black and a ballistic vest opened fire with a rifle outside a small Baptist church in rural Texas and continued firing inside the building on Sunday, killing at least 26 people and turning a tiny town east of San Antonio into the scene of the country’s most recent mass horror.
Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas confirmed the death toll, which has steadily increased throughout the day after the shooting at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs.

  1. And all it would of took was one person that could carry. To of stopped this from being as bad as it was. We never had this happen in the old days when everyone carried. Its time to go back to the old days.

    2. Came here to say this. People like this will pray on locations where there aren't people to take them out. Hate to burst your bubble but America will never go back to the wild west where every idiot can carry

  6. I have in the past left my weapon outside of church (thought it to be respectful) in my vehicle. That will be in the past from here on. I will carry everywhere from now on and pray I never have the occasion to use it. I am qualified and trained with a legal permit, but would carry if I didn't possess a permit.

  8. I remember when church doors were never locked. Last one to leave left it open 24 hours a day. Of course homes too, now mine is locked with me home, different times, sad times.

  13. 1:06 they've already been thrown out by your NRA funded officials. My best proposal would be to get used to mourning the victims of mass shootings at this point.

  18. The reality is, if the Air Force would have followed through with putting this wife beating, child beating piece of trash on the federal list he would not have been sold those guns. Could he have gotten them illegally? Probably. Hell, you can buy rifles at yard sales in some states. The point is a system was put in place to prevent easy access to firearms for people like this for this EXACT reason. Someone did not do their job and now people have died. I shouldn't need to carry my sidearm with me every damn place I go because it's not the 1600s. If you all want to live in a place where everyone has a gun move to the middle East and see how you fare in an uncivilized society.
