  1. Just got s notice in the mail last week informing me monthly cost will now be $40 needless to say I have cancelled the paper. Tired of either the paper being wet or not there at all and they want to raise the cost to $40. They are out of their minds !

  5. They can only gouge you if you let them. Leave it at the store if you do not want to pay the price.

  12. JS~~~~~I agree with 1:23, cancelled the paper and don't put anything in Bourbon except an ice cube or 2

  13. Pretty soon they'll be selling that rag by the page.

  14. All we get is the Sunday paper. But found the Black friday paper in the box today. Honestly, did not see much in all those ads.

  15. GOUGING IS GOUGING !!! BOYCOTT THE PAPER !!

  16. No one can gouge you unless you allow it. The people at the paper think most of you are stupid, rightfully so in some instances. For example, paying 5 bucks for a newspaper and then bitching about it.

And those of you who will not pay a premium for a good cup of coffee will never have a good cup of coffee. Wawa's coffee is fine by me but every now and then a really GOOD cup comes my way. If you love coffee you would appreciate it.

  17. Front page of Daily Times says "Our biggest paper of the year." Should read...our biggest advertising insert of the year.

  18. They were selling it by the pound. It smelt like old fish, I left it right there

  19. I wish I could control the gouging by Delmarva Power. They want another increase in retail rates. When will this stop? Utilities, phone companies, gas and oil have really been gouging. Time to put some control where they can not keep lining government pockets to get their increases.

    1. I wish there was something that could be done about Delmarva Power as well. Its absurd.

  20. I believe you got your wish for they are doing exactly that...going out of business.

  21. Why did this commenter buy it? Just stand there and do screenshots of the sales with your cellphone. If someone tells you stop, move on. People just don't use their brains.

  22. for the first time in years i did not buy one for black Friday...all of those sales advdetisers are all available on line and you don't have to wait to get the paper to see it...next year put that 5 bucks to better use and get those ads on line. Plus i dont ever buy that paper anymore unless there is something of interest in it that i want to save. Save your money, you appreciate it more then they do!A bunch of Liberal hacks! Don't finance them, let them go under!

  23. Can't blame the new paper if the commenter is dumb enough to buy it...

  24. They got my $5.00 It is the last money they will ever get from me. I hope it carries them as far as they need to go. It was a total rip off. They should be ashamed.

  25. Nobody can MAKE you buy it. Shame on you. Buyer beware. If its not worth it, don't give them your money. I cancelled them when they had their last price increase (not that long ago). It's not that hard to live without the un-local newspaper. The DT is no better than the "free" USA Today newspaper delivered to your motel room door.

  26. "Gouging" is when someone overcharges for a "necessity," but not for a newspaper. You were simply overcharged for a product. Your mistake for shelling out $5.30 for a worthless newspaper that's only good for lining the table when you're eating crabs.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Heck, the Wall Street Journal is less than $5.00 a WEEK, delivered to your door. And that's a real newspaper.

  28. Maybe they had to up the costs in order to pay Palmer and Brad their rent money. See what happens when good ole boys hide behind shell corporations and run the school yard. Extortion abound!

  29. The content of a newspaper is not judged by the number of pages or its gross weight. What counts are the words, the truth, the insight. The Daily Times has few of any of them, if any at all.

  30. If it wasn't for the legal ads they would have went under years ago. It won't be long. They are hanging on for now.

  31. crabbing season is over, no need to buy the daily disappointment now
