Delete828,taser deploys two barbs on eclectic strings. 21 feet is max range. Both barbs need to hit suspect for maximum results and that can be very hard and not a guarantee. At 21 feet a person can fatally stab a trained police officer before he/she can draw and fire. I KNOW you like CONFLICTING talk and probably have a lengthy history. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteYou have to get close enough to use a taser. At that point he can throw that knife at the police. There was NO need for him to keep moving towards police after they told him to drop the knife or they would shoot. He wanted to die! He called the police and waited. In that frame of mind he wouldn't care if he stabbed the police so they would shoot him. The innocent people went home. The guilty did not.
8:28 Actually it is your comment that is ignorant. Did you read the article ? The police were not equipped with tasers just pepper spray.
ReplyDeleteLook this kid was mentally unstable obviously and his parents knew it. But he wasn't mentally unstable enough to not understand a simple command as "drop the knife ".
It really is as simple as that. The college should counter sue his parents for sending their mentally unstable son there. He obviously was a danger to himself and those around him. It's not rocket science.

ReplyDeleteI doubt that any action law enforcement officers took would have been acceptable by today's left leaning liberal cop-hating society or the media that's constantly pushing their own liberal agenda of tolerance or little to NO punishment for any crime. These officers backed away, the guy??? advanced. It looked like a gun, they made a judgment call and they went home safe. I support their actions.(period)

ReplyDeleteI seen a video, where a guy was in a wheel chair with no legs, GET THAT???? NO LEGS!!!! And had a knife, and would have to put down the knife to wheel himself towards cops, but didn't, and was like 30 to 50 feet away from cops, and they yelled and yelled maybe 4 times to drop the knife, then shot him 10 times...
ReplyDeleteJust becasue you have a knife does not mean you are in danger nor that you need to use lethal weapons on that person, especially if they are wheel chair bound with no damn legs and not moving in any direction towards you or threatening you...
I also seen a video where a cop shot a man with a knife becasue he was carving a duck out of wood, but would not drop the knife... so he shot him...
It isn't the fact they have knives, as to why they shoot, it is becasue you didn't listen to their orders, and some roid rage out... and just use he had a knife as an excuse to kill someone...
Knives can be thrown...duh!
