All the usual places that previously flooded have flooded again. One has to ask, when are they going to solve the problem once and for all? or are we going to spend another decade being subjected to this.
Mill pond, not the first time. Corner of Priscilla and 13, once again. The park and zoo, what else is new. North 13, yep. S Saratoga & Civic, of course it is.
The water is over the floodgates, there's no need to open them. Some of the zoo animals had a hill of high ground like a little island I saw. but who knows what the final toll will be. At least they trimmed the weeds away from the Zoo sign... too bad they couldn't trim the brush clogging the City drainage ditches that caused all the flooding. But you can now see the sign...
Used to that city employees were used to put sandbags in Canal Park. Against city rules. Someone on the city must have friends, family or they live there themselves. Spending city tax payer dollars against the city charter. This from city employees that were told to keep quiet about it.
@7:51, First you have to have someone high up in Salisbury or rich or in the local government living in those areas for them to do something about any flooded areas. They could cares less about us.
I heard Canal park flooded again those poor people just moved back in.
ReplyDeleteCanal Park was built on a flood plain. How do they get away with that?
ReplyDeleteFlood plain???
DeleteCome on.... if you don't know what you are talking about just stay in your mom's basement..
Which flood zone are the listed under..?
Let's consult the FEMA flood maps..anyone? Anyone?
The more apartment buildings and shopping centers you build with impervious surfaces, the more water you have that ponds up and can't be absorbed.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the new Bennett?
ReplyDeleteDid they open the new flood gates they just built in the park near Snow Hill Rd or you think old Jake boy forgot to tell them
ReplyDeleteWhew!
ReplyDeleteJust think what would have happened if we got more than an inch of rain.
Dan said it would be like this.

They haven't.And they won't.
DeleteHope all the animals are okay. This is awful for those animals held captive with no escape from rising water.
ReplyDeleteAccuweather is calling for a lot more rain tonight. Everyone be safe.
