Hi Joe,
I don’t know if this is worth of the blog spot, but today, my son and his girlfriend picked up my special needs 2yr old granddaughter from my house. As they were driving down the road, 2 houses away from my house, a Silver Silverado backed out of a driveway right in front of them causing my son to have to slam on his brakes to stop. This guy then pulled forward about 20 feet and slammed on his brakes again, no signal, my son again had to swerve and slam on his brakes. The truck parked on the lawn of the house he was going to.
This person in the Silverado got out of his truck walked past my sons car and walked away
My son called out the window, didn't you see me? you pulled out in front of me and then slammed on your brakes. I have my daughter in the car. You walk past me here and don't even look or acknowledge what you did while I am on the road close to your truck? Did you look? The man gave my son the finger and told him to get lost. My son's girlfriend said you could have killed us and our daughter. The man said "you have no right to talk to me like that and beside, you were speeding, I saw you." So this guy saw my son coming when he pulled out of our driveway 2 houses away, with a car with manual transmission, but this guy claims my son was speeding, he SAW him, and pulled out in front of him deliberately, moved forward 20 feet and deliberately slammed on his brakes again. Then after my son just wanted to ask this guy if he saw him and why did he do that and let him know that his special needs child was in the car and that could have seriously injured them and her if he was unable to stop,. Then this man claimed he was going to beat the shit out of him and came up to the car and said he was going to fuck him up and started yelling at him to get out. Then he walked around to the drivers side and said get out that he was going to fuck him (my son) up. This went on long enough for my son's girlfriend to call us and we got there and saw the threats being made. This man even said, there is a state trouper living right there, go ahead and get him.
THIS HAPPENED AT COUNCILMAN DAVIS’S HOUSE. There were cars and trucks all over the road and parked in his yard. This man felt he was above the law and could beat the shit out of my son because he was at councilman Davis’s house and obviously, councilman Davis knew the State trouper that lived behind him. So this guy thought he could get away with beating my son.
I feel this is unacceptable behavior. Just because you are on a councilman’s front lawn? With my 2 year old special needs child in the back seat who could have been killed if my son wasn’t able to stop?
This jerk gets out and starts screaming at my son long enough for our family member to come and still see it happening?? WHERE WAS CONCILMAN DAVIS???? Does he condone this? Does he think anyone on his property can do whatever they want and he will get them off??
Your son went looking for a fight. Should have just drove on!
ReplyDeleteRight!! It's best to just keep it moving when you are dealing with an idiot ESPECIALLY with a kid, special needs or not
Deletethis happens on Judge Judy all the time. Control your temper!
ReplyDeleteSadly, that is how most drive nowadays. And his actions are also typical of most people. Best advice, get a dash cam. No more "he said, she said". It's all on video. It's getting to the point you almost have to be armed to drive your vehicle. I usually don't because I am too tempted to use it on stupid drivers like this.
ReplyDeleteWho is COUNCILMAN DAVIS? Where is he a Councilman?
ReplyDeleteWicomico County Councilman Ernie Davis
Deletewheres the video? lots of fools out there, best thing is get it on video! case closed!
ReplyDelete8:38 PM Oh really. Some turd intentionally screws with him and the son was looking for a fight? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteStopping the car and arguing with the idiot endangered the child too.
DeleteIf u had ur child with you the mature thing to do would be to leave not worry who's house this happend in front of worry about your family first if it pissed u off that much u could have waited and had the family member watch her and got out like a man and beat his ass not get on here like a high school girl in the locker room lol
ReplyDeleteNot a wise move to try to confront someone with your family in the car. You should have been thankful nobody was hurt. Today, it's a good way to get someone hurt. Suck up that pride. Momma always told me life is not fair.
ReplyDeleteYou will run into all kinds on the road. Drive on.
Get a dashcam then you have your defense and just put the jerk online so the world can see him in his true form. Unfortunately a citizen can not, to the best of my knowledge, bring traffic charges against someone.
ReplyDeleteNo video, no case. Everyone has a cellphone.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we all drive poorly better to forgive and forget. what would saying didn't you see me do but antagonize a person. Americans are too arrogant to have peaceful discussions and far too violent, best to turn the other cheek.
ReplyDeleteCue up the banjos!!! This does sound like an episode of judge Judy.
ReplyDeleteTwang!
ReplyDeleteJudge Judy won't even listen to all this ranting. Grandparent arrived after the fact and doesn't know what happen. Just the part witnessed, the rest is hearsay. Good advise has been stated on here, keep on trucking especially if you have a passenger in the vehicle. You have no right to put anyone else in harms way. When I was a kid out drag racing on a country quarter, I would ask passengers to hop out. Figured if I were dumb enough to race, I wasn't going to put them in any danger.
ReplyDeleteThe guy may have been right. On my road the speed limit is 30, but they drive 50 miles an hour or more on my road. You have to look very hard before pulling out because they come at you quick. My neighbor had his car hit because of this and he was charged for not looking. Especially in the country and suburbs people don't obey the speed limit.
ReplyDeleteHow about you call the cops next time.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cop to me... They feel they are above the law...
ReplyDeleteThere was no accident or damage to any vehicle. No harm, no foul. The "son" sought a confrontation with the driver, and he got one. Mom, your son got what he asked for. If he wasn't ready to get out and take it a step farther rather than just whining and complaining about someone that pulled out in front of him and made him "slam on the brakes" (twice!), he should have just kept his mouth shut and gone on about his business of taking his special needs daughter somewhere. Sounds like he thought he owned the road, and no one was allowed to use the space in front of him.
ReplyDeleteJust like a mother to defend the indefensible (and dangerous) acts of her own son.
8:57 which isn't remotely true.
ReplyDeleteSounds like maybe something else going on.
ReplyDeleteThe smartest thing that "son" did was to not get out of his car. Everything else he did was stupid and dangerous. Sounds like he was all mouth, and had nothing to back it up. The man that could "beat the shit" (Mom's words) out of her son, could do so because her son was a big-mouthed wuss, not because it was a councilman's yard. Her son should watch who he tangles with, especially with his small child with him. The son's actions endangered his own child. And why was he driving so fast he had to "slam on the brakes" (2Xs) in a residential neighborhood? Mom should be talking to her son about how to be a responsible driver, and parent to his child, and not making excuses to the public.
ReplyDeleteThe man must have been right about the speeding part. If the son pulled out only two houses away, why did he have to "slam on the brakes?" What was his big hurry with his special needs child in the car? And it sounds like Mom doesn't like the neighbors, councilman or not. Mom, and her son, are wrong on so many fronts, its pathetic. So why didn't her son go get the State Trooper? I think we all know why. Her son chose to confront the driver on Councilman Davis' front lawn. Councilman Davis had nothing to do with the confrontation and wasn't even present. Her son chose the time and the place. She needs to place the blame where it belongs....with her son.
ReplyDeleteWhether the author of this piece knows it or not, this was a situation that many would just shake their heads at and then move on from, without a word spoken to the other person.
ReplyDeleteThere is a state trooper that lives over there in the Ghetto with Ernie Davis? EWWW!
