A Comment Worthy Of A Post

Anonymous said...

Stations 16, 2, 1, and 6(Parsonsburg) just alerted for a reported "structure fire" on Merritt Mill Road. Turns out to be a garage fire and those paid firemen are freaking out screaming into the radio. Deputy Chief 1, Darrin Scott, arrives on the scene then starts screaming for the police. Then he says for "road traffic." LMFAO. WTH is road traffic.

Assistant Chief 1 requesting an additional tanker for water and then Engine Tanker 1-1 responds from Station 16. Then Wicomico Central(Justin Byrd) tells command that Engine Tanker 1-1 just "answered up" and asks him if he still wants to alert for another tanker(talks him out of it.) Command says "Nah" so they didn't alert. Then 2 minutes later command calls for another tanker so they dispatch Fruitland for a tanker. Maybe I am wrong, but wouldn't a tanker from Pittsville be quicker with a straight shot down Rt. 50? Fruitland, Station 3 has to drive slow through all that congestion in Salisbury and multiple stop lights.

That entire fire is one Cluster F***!! And they think that the paid firemen in Salisbury can offer better service than any volunteer fire company around?? I don't think so!! The Parsonsburg and Powellville personnel sound more calm than the paid farmin.

Then Jay Jester screams on the radio in his "Ocean City cool fire talk" "Engine 16 Officer to Engine 16 Chauffeur" Yeah, that's cool talk their Jay Jester. Then he asks for an additional 50 ft of hose. LMAO. He is a volunteer chief in Ocean City and he can't guess how much hose line he needs. What an idiot.

It's been nearly a half hour and they still haven't put that small garage fire out and they have at least 5 fire stations dispatched on that call. Pathetic, just pathetic. And they want to scare the public into thinking they are better suited to serve the public than any volunteer with the same amount of training. They are an embarrassment to the fire service.

  1. We have noticed ever since the shake up at Station 1, the SFD has been dispatching FOUR departments on almost every call, completely unnecessary. Have you guys noticed that?

  5. Joe the dispatching of four stations has been going on since late summer. The reason was the failure rate of stations 1 and 2 at over 50 %. This is also a common practice in the county also to assure enough manpower arrives at the scene, especially in the daytime when most people are at work.

  8. Joe, That is so Station 16 can keep getting all of the big bucks or money from Jake Gay Day so they can buy a fire boat that to this day sits in dry dock, or maybe they want another fire truck so heavy, it cracks the floor of a fire station? Or maybe they want to building another un-needed, un-designed fire palace for another fire truck that can't park inside??? But remember, it is all for the kids!!! Always for the kids!!!

  9. I' trying to figure out why this comment is worth a post. A statement from someone who wasn't even at the fire and no idea what actually went on. The fire was put out by volunteer and paid firemen as it always is. This is in a non-hydrant area and extra tankers are necessary to completely extinguish the fire. All anyone needs to know is the fire was put out and the garage and house didn't burn down. I am certainly glad someone was there to help instead of criticizing.

The Rogue Vols from Stallag 17 cant type fast enough to take out their anger and criticize every single move that was made on a fire they were locked out from. Playing Arm Chair Quarterback on a fire they couldn't even respond to and don't have 1 % of the training of the Officers they're criticizing. Funny as Hell to me. I can just see the trailer park twins bouncing off the walls when their pagers went off and couldn't respond. The three Master Minds believing the fire wouldn't go out without them and their Engine Tanker. Well Boys I've got news for you. It went out and the owner was pleased. End of story. So reset them pagers and wait for the next call to criticize, because you wont be there either.

You are correct Joe. Station 2 duty crew was dispatched to a car fire on the bypass just prior to this. Then Engine 16 self dispatches and adds themselves to the call on the bypass. Totally unnecessary.

Then right after that Engine 16 was dispatched to an automatic alarm(False Alarm) and then Truck 2 self dispatches and adds themselves to the call.

They keep doing this to add up the numbers of all the paid fire trucks responses to justify their jobs. All of this at the city and county tax payers expense. Dumb leadership.

When you hear someone talking about the 50% failure rate it is obviously a paid fireman. This is their design to run the volunteers out of business. I hope they get their own station and county fire district.

The volunteers only exist at Station #16 for the County and State Funding and nothing else. That is exactly what Rick Hoppes and his Goon Squad has done to Station 1 and Station 2. Only there for the money.

Jay Jester is a pansy and he is afraid of fire. I am a MFRI Instructor/Evaluator and we could never get him to go inside the burn building when there was real fire. He was only available to be the safety office. Outside where he wouldn't have to see the fire or get dirty.

Yes I remember that fire in Ocean City where he got burnt and yes it was his fault. He showed up at the scene and climbed into the condo that was burning so he could die as a hero. He learned real quick then that you need protective gear on or you will get burnt. And that Big Dummy got BURNT! It burnt his little pansy, girly hands.

Jay Jester needs to be fired.

You are right about that. Rick Hoppes, Bill Gordy and David See published an SOP for all officers at Station 1, 2 and 16 to respond on most ambulance calls. Chest pain, falls, difficulty breathing. Anything to run the numbers up to justify paid firemens jobs. Rick Hoppes has been dying to play big time fire department. They now have an Academy. To bad they don't have any students.

  26. Ok, so its F*** the mutt, is that profe4ssional? He has that as his e-mail signature, to send to City and Town officials, and you think that's professional? I also agree, it's a slap to every single person that donates to the OCVFC for that gas hog to be driven back and forth to his primary job. The towns policy is 15 miles, but Lord don't hold the volunteers to any standard. Oh, how could I forget, Jester isn't volunteer, he's paid, at both departments. These are facts that anyone can verify.

This is what we have become in today's Volunteer Fire Service.

  31. How is Jay Jester allowed to drive an OCVFC truck to Salisbury for each shift? Why does he need to do that? He isn't going to respond to an OC or West OC fire if he is on shift for Salisbury. Also how is he allowed to be the OCVFC President and Assistant Chief? He was the President for years then last year he started being an Assistant Chief. He has two high level positions there and David Cropper and his son do as well. Whatever happened to former OCVFC Chiefs Bo Duke and Will Savage? The volunteers do a great job in OC by the way and work well with the career staff too.

    1. It's because Cropper has no leadership or priority to the financial right and wrong of the company. His dream was to be chief, and his spoiled son an assistant. Nightmares come true, and Jester is so deep in bed with him, he is no better. I quit, it makes everyone sick, the Jay Daddy show.
