Almost seven out 10 Democrats believe Islam “encourages violence… about the same as other religions,” according to a new CBS poll.
The trusting attitude towards Islam is revealed in the February 2017 poll follows 17 tumultuous years of attacks against Americans motivated or shaped by Islamic ideology throughout the United States—from the 9/11 atrocity to the Pulse nightclub attack in Florida committed by an observant, orthodox Muslim man from a Muslim family.
Merely one-in-seven Democrats believe that Islam is more violent than other religions, such as Christianity, Mormonism, Judaism, and Buddhism. One-in-ten Democrats believe that Islam is less violent that other religions, according to the poll of 1,019 adults, which was taken Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.
In contrast, Republicans have a far colder view of Islam. Sixty-three percent of Republicans view Islam as aggressive compared to other religions, and only two percent view Islam as more pacific than other faiths.
Former President Barack Obama and other leaders in the Democratic Party have repeatedly suggested that Islam is not more violent than other religions. Obama told Muslims in February 2016 that Islam means “peace,” although it actually means “submission.”

I'm on the far right, and i detest Islam. But I hold all forms of organized religion in very low regard. They are all dangerous. Islam however seems to be holding onto the #1 position for dangerous lunatics.

Have had many positive interactions with Muslim people throughout my life. It's when anyone becomes radical that it becomes a problem. Man has done terrible things in the name of religion.

DeleteApparently the majority of Democrats have not read the Quran or read much about the teachings of Islam. They definitely are not aware that according to Muhammad women are considered chanel, that is the same as a cow,donkey or goat, nothing more than property to be dealt with as they, the Muslim men, see fit! That is to be sold,traded or disposed of at their leisure or whim. To divorce a wife all he needs to do is say 'I divorce you' three times and so it is! How is that anywhere near being on par with any other recognised religion? Then again most Democrats either don't know how or bother not to read anything...Pelosi- "We must pass it to see what is in it!" Meaning have someone else tell them!

Religious minorities have not “flourished” under Islam. In fact, they always dwindle to mere shadows after a few centuries of persecution and discrimination. Some were converted from their native religion by brute force, others under the agonizing strain of dhimmitude.
What Muslims call “tolerance,” others correctly identify as institutionalized discrimination. The consignment of Jews and Christians to dhimmis under Islamic rule means that they are not allowed the same religious rights and freedoms as Muslims. They cannot share their faith, for example, or build houses of worship without permission.

After military conquests, Muhammad would dole out captured women as war prizes to his men. In at least one case, he advocated that they be raped in front of their husbands. Captured women were made into sex slaves by the very men who killed their husbands and brothers. There are four Quranic verses in which "Allah" makes clear that a Muslim master has full sexual access to his female slaves, yet there is not one that prohibits rape.

Later, when he tried to convince the Jews and Christians of Arabia to worship Allah, they refused, knowing the true identity of Allah, and Mohammed then began his bloody conquest of the Arabian peninsula, slaughtering thousands by the sword, the very same Islamic sword celebrated on the Shriner's red fez!

ReplyDeleteIt's just your average, run-of-the-mill peaceful religion, once you adjust the stats by removing honor killings, suicide bombers, chopping the heads off of infidels (anyone not in the 'club'), jihadis, throwing gays off buildings, and killing other members of the faith with a different spin (Shia v Sunni).

ReplyDeleteThe only mistake from the crusades was not to have totally wiped out the Muslims . Christians then as today were and are fighting for their existence. We are being targeted by the Left Muslim supporting fools who believe the brainwashing rants of even bigger fools.
The Crusades were not about killing because we were Christians it was about surviving because you were a Christian. Today we are bieng put in the same situation. We must fight to survive.
