March for Life (Washington, D.C.) - Wikipedia

I'm publishing this because I want to make a serious point here. This is not a once every four year Presidential event. It's not a one time million man march. What ticks me off about the Main Stream Media is the FACT that they give this event very little attention and rarely ever mention attendance. The mere fact that has been going on for some 30 years straight and the attendance is as high as it is, it deserves far more attention. The 2017 event takes place this weekend.

From 2003 to 2009, the March for Life brought in around 250,000 attendees each year. However, the events of the past few years have drawn in more people, with 2011's event bringing in up to 400,000 protestors. The 2013 March for Life drew an estimated 650,000 people. However, NPR reported the attendees numbering in the 'Tens of thousands'. Additionally, as of 1/23/2017, the March for Life Facebook page has less than 100,000 'likes' worldwide, significantly less than the purported number of attendees at the US event. March for Life organizers have not disclosed their methodology in calculating the number of attendees.

Approximately 5,000 participated in the 14th annual march in 1987, despite a snowstorm. Many teenagers and college students attend the march each year, typically traveling with church/youth groups. Washington Post columnist Robert McCartney estimated that about half of the marchers are under age 30.

  1. Folks please get your minds wrapped around how to properly use facts and evidence to come to a conclusion and argue a point.

Example: Do you really think 100k FB likes worldwide is anywhere near an equivalent estimate of getting those same people to the event?

  2. I don't think I am important enough to make decisions for another woman as to what she should do or not do with her body.

  3. In the Bible God says I knew you when you were in your mother's womb. So abortion in Gods eyes in just murder. In the Ten Commandments it says "Thou shalt not kill". This means unborn babies too. So don't tell me what a good Christian you are and then go out and support the killing of unborn babies. Innocent babies guilty of nothing but being conceived. The mother's should be more diligent with their birth control and stop killing babies just for their own convenience.
