Maryland Department of Transportation Seeking Public Comment on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program
Program Provides a Look at Federally-Funded State Transportation Projects
HANOVER, MD – To ensure all Marylanders have a voice in transportation projects throughout the state, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is inviting the public to comment on the Draft Fiscal Year 2017 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. Maryland’s Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is a four-year, fiscally constrained, and prioritized set of transportation projects that is compiled from state, local, and regional plans. The STIP is the formal process of requesting federal funding for the projects in the legislatively approved six-year transportation budget known as the Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP). These projects were first presented to the public for comment in fall 2015 as part of the CTP tour to Maryland’s 23 counties and to Baltimore City.“It is vital for people from every corner of the state to have a voice,” said Secretary Pete K. Rahn. “Through this effort, all Marylanders will have input in developing and delivering a better transportation network across the state.”
The STIP is Maryland’s federally-required program that compiles all of the regional metropolitan Transportation Improvement Programs with State non-metropolitan projects to provide one comprehensive list of local and regional priority projects. These project lists are developed using the 2035 Maryland Transportation Plan (MTP) as a guide. The MTP is a 20-year vision for transportation in Maryland that outlines the state's transportation goals, policies and priorities and helps guide statewide investment decisions across all modes of transportation.

Black Lives Matter Activist says “cure” for mass shootings is to BAN all….
Liberals will point the finger at anyone or anything for the awful terrorist attack that happened over the weekend at an Orlando nightclub, including inanimate objects — guns — and apparently white males.
Anyone so long as it isn’t putting the blame on radical Islamic terrorists.
Senior Justice Writer (how’s THAT for a title) for the New York Daily News Shaun King — you may remember him for his involvement with Black Lives Matter (and for the fact he was “outed” as actually not being a “black” activist at all) — recently tweeted that the cure for mass shootings is to ban all white men.
Newsbusters reports, In response to the mass murder of 50 people this weekend by Omar Mateen, King tweeted: “We would cut mass shootings down by 75 percent if our nation banned all white men from this country. Wonder why nobody calls for that?”

CAIR Leader Tells Muslims to Defy TSA Agents At Airports
Hassan Shibly, a leader of CAIR, a Muslim Brotherhood Islamic supremacist organization with ties to terror organizations, posted videos recently with instructions on how Muslims should respond to TSA agents when being questioned at airports.
Hassan was returning to the U.S. from Istanbul, Turkey on May 29, 2016 when he was taken aside for additional screening by a TSA agent. Now he is hoping to create a massive wave of complaints by Muslims against the U.S. government, claiming discrimination at airports. His intent is to create such a huge case that the U.S. will concede and grant special protection and accommodations to Muslims.
Some of the advice the CAIR leader gives to his fellow Muslims includes:
When a CBP agent asks you anything beyond identification tell the agent, “None of your Damn Business.”More

Saudi Arabia Has Funded 20% Of Hillary's Presidential Campaign, Saudi Crown Prince Claims
In what may be the pinnacle of hypocrisy, moments ago Hillary Clinton, while speaking live on national security and addressing the Orlando shooting took some time from her constant bashing of the Second Amendment and calling for a ban on assault rifles, to say some less than kind words about Saudi Arabia whom it accused of supporting radical organizations. This is what she said:
The third area that demands attention is preventing radicalization and countering efforts by ISIS and other international terrorist networks to recruit in the United States and Europe. For starters, it is long past time for the Saudis, the Qataris and the Kuwaitis and others to stop their citizens from funding extremist organizations. And they should stop supporting radical schools and mosques around the world that have set too many young people on a path towards extremism. We also have to use all our capabilities to counter jihadist propaganda online. This is something that I spend a lot of time on at the State Department.
There is nothing wrong with that statement, as it is the whole truth - Saudi Arabia's involvement in supporting terrorism stretches from Sept 11 all the way through to ISIS - however, where there is a big, and potentially law-breaking, problem is what Jordan's official news agency, Petra News Agency, reported on Sunday citing the Saudi crown price, namely that Saudi Arabia is a major funder of Hillary Clinton’s campaign to become the next president of the United States.
As MEE notes, the Petra News Agency published on Sunday what it described as exclusive comments from Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman which included a claim that Riyadh has provided 20 percent of the total funding to the prospective Democratic candidate's campaign.

Rep. Harris awarded Biosecurity Champion Award
Alliance for Biosecurity Honors Congressman Harris With Biosecurity Champion Award
The Alliance for Biosecurity is proud to present Congressman Andy Harris (R-MD) with the Congressional Biosecurity Champion Award. The award acknowledges the leadership and actions taken by members of Congress to improve U.S. national health security and preparedness for biosecurity threats.
“Public private partnerships allow government and industry to work together to ensure the country is prepared for potential biothreats,” said Chris Frech, Senior Vice President, Global Government Affairs, Emergent BioSolutions and Co-Chair of the Alliance for Biosecurity. “Since the biosecurity industry does not have a natural commercial market for its product, it relies on predictable, consistent funding from government, along with its own investments, to maintain a robust medical countermeasures pipeline. We appreciate Congressman Harris’s ongoing efforts to enhance our preparedness for biological threats—both naturally occurring and manmade.”
A recent survey conducted by the Alliance for Biosecurity, the Blue Ribbon Study Panel on Biodefense and Trust for America’s Health showed that Americans are concerned about biosecurity risks; supported an increase in funding for preventative measures against biological, chemical and radiological threats; and are generally surprised to learn there is a funding shortfall. Congressman Harris’s support for improving the development of new vaccines and medicines for biosecurity threats directly addresses the American people’s concerns.
In presenting this award to Congressman Harris, the Alliance recognizes his commitment in championing an increase in the Special Reserve Fund for 2016 and leading the effort in the House of Representatives to increase funding for BARDA.
Congressman Harris is one of eight members to receive the 2016 Congressional Biosecurity Champion Award. The other honorees include Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO), Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI), Congressman Tony Cardenas (D-CA), Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC). In keeping with the innovative nature of the work of the members of the Alliance, the award is a unique one-of-a-kind design produced by a 3D printer.
Like Father Like Son: The Terrifying Truth About the Shooter's Father
Orlando nightclub gunman Omar Mateen’s father is an Afghan immigrant who hosted an anti-American TV show and once called the Taliban “our warrior brothers.”
Seddique Mateen appears in scores of online videos, including one he posted to Facebook right around the time of his son’s rampage. In it, he wears combat fatigues and salutes the camera.
The elder Mateen speaks the Dari language in his often-rambling videos, and it wasn’t immediately clear what he says in that clip, posted on Facebook around 2 a.m. Sunday, just when Omar was opening fire on innocent victims at the Pulse nightclub.

Officer 'intended to interact with our youth' when riding dirt bike
BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- A video showing a Baltimore city police officer riding a dirt bike has gone viral.
It's been shared more than 70 thousand times on Instagram, and shows an officer, in uniform, riding the illegal bike up and down McCulloh street near Whitelock.
Baltimore police issued the following statement in response:
"Our police officer recovered this dirt bike after an unidentified person abandoned it in the community. Prior to the impound, our police officer briefly operated the dirt bike in an apparent effort to connect with some young people who had gathered. While we applaud his intention to interact with our youth, we will ensure alternative outreach efforts are considered in the future."
Most people we spoke to say they saw the video, but not the incident itself, including Malik Sykes, who says he hopes it will build trust with police in that neighborhood.

Can you explain to me why the national media are not requesting the same information from Hillary and Bernie Sanders that has been requested of Donald Trump:
Listing of potential Supreme Court judge nominees??
Also, why hasn' t the national media pointed out the very real situation in Venezuela as a stark result of socialism?
Their economic conditions, under their current leader, are resulting in starvation and riots to replace him. It seems as though the equal socialistic practice of material goods for all has resulted in no food or material for anyone.

High Cholesterol 'Does Not Cause Heart Disease'
Cholesterol does not cause heart disease in the elderly and trying to reduce it with drugs like statins is a waste of time, an international group of experts has claimed.
A review of research involving nearly 70,000 people found there was no link between what has traditionally been considered “bad” cholesterol and the premature deaths of over 60-year-olds from cardiovascular disease.
Published in the BMJ Open journal, the new study found that 92 percent of people with a high cholesterol level lived longer.
The authors have called for a re-evaluation of the guidelines for the prevention of cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis, a hardening and narrowing of the arteries, because “the benefits from statin treatment have been exaggerated”.
The results have prompted immediate scepticism from other academics, however, who questioned the paper’s balance.
High cholesterol is commonly caused by an unhealthy diet, and eating high levels of saturated fat in particular, as well as smoking.
It is carried in the blood attached to proteins called lipoproteins and has been traditionally linked to cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke, peripheral arterial disease and aortic disease.
Co-author of the study Dr Malcolm Kendrick, an intermediate care GP, acknowledged the findings would cause controversy but defended them as “robust” and “thoroughly reviewed”.
“What we found in our detailed systematic review was that older people with high LDL (low-density lipoprotein) levels, the so-called “bad” cholesterol, lived longer and had less heart disease.”

Flag Day 2016 Facts: 13 Things To Know About The USA’s Star-Spangled Banner
In the United States, Tuesday is Flag Day, an official observance in honor of the Star-Spangled Banner that represents the country.
A hundred years ago, President Woodrow Wilson established June 14 as a chance to “rededicate ourselves to the nation,” as he wrote in his proclamation. He wanted Americans to mark Flag Day to leave behind “every thought that is not worthy of our fathers’ first vows in independence, liberty and right” and instead “stand with united hearts, for an America which no man can corrupt, no influence draw away from its ideals, no force divide against itself.”
If you’re stuck at your desk instead of celebrating in the summer sun, here are 13 facts to share about the American flag, compiled from the History Channel, Mental Floss, ABC News and PBS:
The version of the flag the U.S. uses today is the 27th.
The 50th star was added in 1960, a year after Hawaii joined the U.S.

Trump Warns of Immigration 'Trojan Horse'
Donald Trump renewed warnings about Middle Eastern refugees and other immigrants coming to America on the heels of Sunday’s terror massacre in Orlando, while claiming thousands already are in the country who – like the shooter – are “sick with hate.”
Though the gunman, Omar Mateen, was a U.S. citizen, Trump told Fox News on Monday that the U.S. is allowing others into the country who are “no different than this maniac.”
“This could be the all-time great Trojan horse,” Trump said, of those being admitted from Syria and other nations.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has only amplified his warnings about immigration and the terror threat since Sunday’s massacre left 49 dead and even more wounded. At the same time, he’s aggressively criticized both President Obama and likely general election rival Hillary Clinton for not initially using the term “radical Islam” in describing the shooter’s religious background.
“She won’t even utter the words,” Trump said Monday. On Sunday, Trump had said Obama should “step down” for not using the term and Clinton should “get out of this race” if she won’t either.

Hillary’s State Dept. Blocked Investigation into Orlando Killer’s Mosque
Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. shut down an investigation into the mosque Orlando killer Omar Mir Siddique Mateen attended because it “unfairly singled out Muslims.”
The Fort Pierce Islamic Center, where Mateen worshipped several times a week, was under investigation by both the FBI and DHS as early as 2011 for ties to a worldwide Islamic movement known as Tablighi Jamaal which was linked to several terrorist organizations.
But the investigation was shut down under pressure from the Clinton-ran State Dept. and DHS’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Office out of fear of offending Muslims, according to recently retired DHS agent Philip Haney.

Many Young Migraine Sufferers Have Vitamin Deficiencies
Many young people who suffer from migraines have vitamin deficiencies, new research finds.
"Further studies are needed to elucidate whether vitamin supplementation is effective in migraine patients in general, and whether patients with mild deficiency are more likely to benefit from supplementation," said lead study author Dr. Suzanne Hagler in a Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center news release. She is a headache medicine fellow in the hospital's division of neurology.
The study included children, teens and young adult migraine patients who were treated at Cincinnati Children's Headache Center.
A high percentage of them had mild deficiencies in vitamin D, riboflavin and coenzyme Q10 -- a vitamin-like substance used to produce energy for cell growth and maintenance, the researchers said.

Confidence in newspapers, TV news hits bottom
Confidence in newspapers has hit an all time low in the latest Gallup survey, and TV news is also at a new low, the latest proof that Americans are losing faith in the media.
Gallup found that just 20 percent have confidence in newspapers, a 10-point drop in 10 years. TV news saw an identical 10-point drop, from 31 percent to 21 percent.
But it could be worse. Of all the institutions Gallup surveyed on, Congress is at the bottom, with just 9 percent having confidence in America's elected leaders, a finding that is clearly impacting the direction and tone of the 2016 elections.

Children of immigrants proving most fruitful recruiting ground for jihad in U.S.
While immigrants draw much of the attention, it’s their children who are proving to be the most fruitful recruiting ground for radical jihad in the U.S., accounting for at least half of the deadly attacks over the past decade.
The latest instance of the second-generation terrorist syndrome played out in Orlando, Florida, over the weekend when Omar Mateen, son of immigrants from Afghanistan, went on a jihad-inspired rampage, killing 49 people and wounding 53 others in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
Authorities said Mateen had flirted with other terrorist groups but declared his allegiance to the Islamic State on Sunday morning as he began his horrific spree.
He follows in the footsteps of Syed Rizwan Farook, one of the San Bernardino, California, terrorists who was the son of Pakistanis; Nadir Soofi, one of two men who attacked a drawing competition in Garland, Texas, last year and whose father was from Pakistan; and then-Maj. Nidal Hassan, the child of Palestinian immigrants whose shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009 set off the modern round of deadly lone-wolf attacks.
In other cases, attackers were immigrants brought to the U.S. as young children. They grew up in the U.S. but were besieged by questions of identity.
“Historically, the ‘high stress’ generation for American immigrants has been second generation,” said former CIA Director Michael V. Hayden. “Mom and Pop can rely on the culture of where they came from. Their grandchildren will be (more or less) thoroughly American. The generation in between, though, is anchored neither in the old or in the new. They often are searching for self or identity beyond self.”

Rawlings-Blake Finds Funds For Youth Programs, Chastises Lawmakers
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake says she has found money to fund youth programs and avert a city shutdown. However, she says the move came at a cost.
The shutdown was threatened by City Council members including council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young.
The revised budget adds $4.2 million to after school and community programs, but does so with funds originally set to go to public health, tree maintenance, graffiti removal, libraries, code enforcement inspections, grants to arts institutions and merit pay raises for employees.
In a statement, Rawlings-Blake said the original budget "represented months of hard discussions" to close a $60 million budget gap while trimming police costs, funding police body-worn cameras and increasing the amount billed to insurers for emergency services.

Eric Holder: Fingerprinting Is Racist
Former Attorney General Eric Holder has come out against proposals in Chicago and New Jersey to require fingerprint background checks of drivers for ride-hailing platforms such as Uber and Lyft. Why would President Obama’s onetime top lawman come out against regulation that is supposed to protect the riding public? Credit the intersection of two forces. First, Holder’s tony corporate law firm, Covington & Burling, represents Uber. Also, as Holder sees it, requiring drivers to submit fingerprints may “have a discriminatory impact on communities of color.”
I was surprised to read about Holder’s opposition, as I have trouble seeing Holder as a model for social justice. As deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration, Holder gave a “neutral-leaning to positive” recommendation for the pardon of billionaire Marc Rich, who fled to Switzerland to evade fraud and tax evasion charges. As President Obama’s first attorney general, he was so stingy with the pardon power that political scientist P.S. Ruckman wrote that inmates seeking clemency had “a better chance of being struck by lightning.”
Besides, law enforcement relies on fingerprinting because it works. According to the National Rifle Association, gun buyers must undergo fingerprint checks in some states. California teachers submit fingerprints for criminal background checks. California drivers are fingerprinted. I get into my gym thanks to a fingerprint scanner and swipe my index finger to open my phone. Don’t tell me, I said to myself, Holder has joined gadflies who question the validity of fingerprints the way others oppose vaccinations.
Holder is no such animal. In a letter to Chicago Alderman Anthony Beale, Holder explained that while fingerprint checks are a valuable law enforcement tool, they “often do not indicate whether a person who was arrested was even charged or ultimately convicted.” Thus, mandatory checks “can prevent people from getting a job even if they were never found guilty of a crime.” Because black men are arrested more than white men, the policy affects men of color disproportionately.

Berlin Armed Bank Robber Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison
Also Admitted to Committing a Carjacking
Baltimore, Maryland – U.S. District Judge James K. Bredar sentenced Jeff V. Hare, age 54, of Berlin, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for armed bank robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Kevin Perkins of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Baltimore Field Office; Worcester County Sheriff Reggie T. Mason, Sr.; Colonel William M. Pallozzi, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police; and Worcester County State’s Attorney Beau Oglesby.
According his plea agreement, on March 13, 2015, Hare entered the BB&T branch located on Racetrack Road in Berlin, wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun. Hare told the bank tellers that he had a gun and was robbing the bank. Hare moved through the lobby from employee to employee, pointing the handgun at each employee and demanding money. Hare also demanded each teller give him their car keys and purse, but the tellers told Hare they did not have them available. Hare stole approximately $2,850 in cash from the bank.
Hare admitted that after robbing the tellers in the lobby, he found a bank employee who had locked herself in a back room of the bank. Hare forced open the locked door and demanded her car keys and her purse. The employee gave Hare her purse, which contained cash and personal effects, and the keys to her car. Hare fled in the stolen car, which he abandoned at a nearby business.
In Wake Of Orlando Shooting, Political Left Blames All But Radical Islam
What is it that keeps Democrats and Leftists around the world from placing blame where it belongs, namely, an ever growing segment of Islam that is extremist (which the counter jihad movement calls Islamists), with a smaller segment that is willing to perform violence in the name of their religion? They refuse to allow for the separation of the Islamist from the regular Muslim, and deem any verbal attack on the Islamists as full on Islamophobia of the entire religion. And they will blame everything but Islam
(PJ Media)The Un-American Civil Liberties Union has found the real culprit in the Orlando shooting. One guess:
Several American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) attorneys took to Twitter to blame the “Christian Right” for Sunday’s deadly terrorist attack at a nightclub in Orlando, Fla., which left 50 dead and 53 injured.
Chase Strangio, a staff attorney with the ACLU’s LGBT and AIDS Project, claimed the social and political environment cultivated by Christian conservatives in recent months was to blame for the shooting at Pulse, a nightclub popular with Orlando’s LGBT community.
Watching Twitter, there were more than a few who blamed Christians and Conservatives/Republicans and Tea Party members, and, of course, Trump supporters, and were not shy about blaming all. But, they still can’t bring themselves to blame the Islamists. When Dylann Roof went on a murder spree, the Left was more than willing to blame Christians, White people, the Tea Party, Republicans, all Southerners, and the Confederate flag. Here, they can’t even blame radical Islam.

Homeland Security Advisor: 9/11 Was Good Thing
Syrian Immigrant Who Said 9/11 ‘Changed The World For Good’ Is A Homeland Security Advisor
One of the sitting members on the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism is a 25-year-old immigrant of Syrian heritage who said that the 9/11 attacks “changed the world for good” and has consistently disparaged America, free speech and white people on social media.
Laila Alawa was one of just 15 people tapped to serve on the newly-formed HSAC Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism in 2015–the same year she became an American citizen. Just last week, the subcommittee submitted a report to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, recommending that the DHS avoid using Muslim terminology like the words “sharia” and “jihad” when discussing terrorism.
Alawa says she immigrated into the U.S. when she was ten years old. Her family had already left Syria by the time she was born. “But I will always be Syrian. I will always be from Syria. I will always be of Syria,” she wrote in November 2015, calling the country her “homeland.”

FOOD STAMP OUTAGE COULD TRIGGER NATIONWIDE RIOTS
Obama admin. enrolling millions of illegals to overload EBT system?
The ongoing food stamp outage could trigger nationwide riots across the country similar to the recent unrest in Baltimore and Ferguson.
Thousands – if not millions – of food stamp recipients have not gotten their benefits nine days into the month due to “glitches” in the electronic benefit transfer (EBT) system, and Americans are worried that if the outage continues, mass civil unrest will erupt.
“Yes, the s**t is starting to hit the fan; get ready for riots when people without jobs start getting hungry,” Colo. resident Jeri Brace warned onDowndetector.com, the web site reporting the mass EBT outages.

State Police Conducting Death Investigation
Seaford, De. - The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently conducting an investigation of an apparent fatal crash of a man operating an ATV near a tax ditch.
The preliminary investigation has determined the crash occurred on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at approximately 4:22 p.m. at a private farm field on Bethel Concord Road, Seaford. A 2001 Polaris Sportsman 700 four wheel ATV was operated by a 36 year old male of Seaford, who was traveling in a north westerly direction on a private farm field along a tax ditch at the rear of the property. It appears the ground gave way along the ditch causing the ATV to roll to the right down an embankment approximately ten feet deep. The ATV came to rest on top of the operator who was found underneath the ATV at the bottom of the ditch which contained a very shallow amount of water.
The operator, who was found on Monday June 13, 2016 at approximately 8:49 p.m., was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Alcohol appears to be a factor.
The Delaware Division of Forensic Science was contacted and responded to the scene in order to remove the victim. An autopsy will be conducted in an attempt to determine the cause and manner of death. The name of the victim is being withheld at this point pending the notification of his next of kin.
Traffic on Bethel Concord Road was not affected during this investigation which occurred on private property.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident.

Microsoft buys Linkedin for $26.2 Billion
Microsoft is buying LinkedIn for $26.2 billion, the company announced on Monday.
Microsoft will pay $196 per share for the company.
LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner will remain CEO of the professional social network, and will report directly to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
Under the terms of the acquisition, LinkedIn will maintain its "distinct brand, culture, and independence" — similar to how Facebook handled its acquisition of WhatsApp — and Microsoft says LinkedIn cofounder and chairman of the board Reid Hoffman and Weiner "both fully support" the purchase, with both boards signing off.
The deal is expected to be completed this calendar year.
LinkedIn shares jumped more than 47% following the news when the markets opened. Microsoft shares, which were halted in pre-market trading pending the news, have since re-opened and fallen about 4%.
Nadella announced the news to Microsoft employees in an email Monday morning, which you can read here. LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner also sent an email to staff, which you can read here.

Maryland pays $320M+ in Fees to Manage Pensions. What does the state get in return?
Maryland’s public pension system pays more than $320 million in fees each year to professional fund managers who tout their ability to beat the market with smart investments.
But some financial experts question whether those fees really pay off for the more than 382,000 active and former state employees who participate in theretirement plan, including teachers, state police and judges.
The state’s pension portfolio is on track to fall below the program’s modest goal of a 0.51 percent return on investments for fiscal 2016, which ends June 30. As of April 30, the plan had earned a mere 0.12 percent.
If the fund continues to underperform through June, it could bolster an argument that Washington, D.C.-based financial analyst Jeff Hooke has made for at least the past five years — and that several other states have recently adopted: Public pension systems should bid farewell to high-cost financial wizards and shift more money into passively managed index funds such as those that mimic the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index.

How Hillary Protected Florida Islamic Radicals
When Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik massacred 14 people in San Bernardino, California, last December, newly retired Department of Homeland Security agent Philip Haney discovered that a case he developed might have prevented the attack if it had not been shut down by his agency and Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Now, Haney tells WND that the mosque where Orlando killer Omar Mir Siddique Mateen worshiped several times a week also has a tie to that case.
He noted that the FBI twice had Mateen on its radar, but closed down the investigations both times.
Mateen opened fire early Sunday morning at a “gay” nightclub in Orlando, killing at least 50 people and wounding another 53 in what is being described as the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
As a member of one of the National Targeting Center’s advanced units, Haney helped develop a case in 2011 on a worldwide Islamic movement known as Tablighi Jamaat, as he recounts in his new book “See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad.” Within a few months, the case drew the “concern” of the State Department and the DHS’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Office because the Obama administration believed it unfairly singled out Muslims. The intelligence, however, had been used to connect members of the movement to several terrorist organizations and financing at the highest levels, including for Hamas and al-Qaida.

ENJOY NATURE’S BEAUTY ON WICOMICO COUNTY’S TRAILS
Wooded trails, waterfront views – enjoy nature’s beauty during a walk or run on one of Wicomico County’s trails.
The trails at Pemberton Historical Park, totaling about 4.5 miles, offer a little bit of everything.
While traveling the History, Woodland, Pondside, Handy Hall, Bell Island and Osprey Trails, along with the Wetland Walk, hikers can really get in tune with nature.
While much of the trails are rugged, including tree roots and leaves, there are also boardwalk areas on the trails and mulched and gravel spots.
People can make their way to one or more of the lookout points to see the Wicomico River and wetland views.
Allen Swiger, a program director with Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism, noted how beautiful Pemberton Historical Park is, as well as the secluded feel it has.
New signage went up at the park this spring, which includes a revamped kiosk and several signs that include maps of the park’s trails. The kiosk and a sign near the entrance include all of the park’s trails, while other maps focus on the nearest trails.

Facebook's INSANE Response to the Islamic Terror Attack
Facebook has deleted “Stop Islamization Of America,” a group with over 50,000 members in the wake of deadly Islamic terror attack in Orlando, Florida.
The page was run by Pamela Geller, the well-known Islam critic and Breitbart contributor who led efforts to stop construction of the Ground Zero Mosque. Geller reported the removal of her Facebook group on Twitter, and called on supporters to politely request its reinstatement in a subsequent post on her personal website.
The timing of the shutdown cannot be ignored. According to Geller, the group has been in operation for six years, since 2010. Yet only now, with concerns about Islam at a height following Omar Mateen’s homophobic, religiously-motivated attack on the Orlando dance club, has the page been taken down.
Facebook isn’t the only platform that appears to be targeting critics of Islam. Reddit is also in the midst of a censorship controversy. Moderators of /r/News, the site’s primary discussion board for breaking news, went on a censorship spree following the Orlando shootings, deleting posts linking the shooter to Islam, as well as hundreds of comments — including one that offered Orlando residents advice on how to donate blood to survivors.

Meet the Bounty Hunter Who Is Blowing the Whistle on Medicare
Billions wasted, but many seem to like things that way
LIVONIA, Mich. — Tucked into an office park is a man who could save taxpayers billions—if the government wanted him to.
Chris Mucke is a recovery audit contractor—a bounty hunter, some would call him—tasked with clawing back improper spending in the prescription drug program for older Americans.
However, Washington really doesn’t want him to do that, he says, highlighting political pressure—from insurers, pharmacies, doctors, hospitals, and patients—to keep the spigots open, no matter how fraudulent or improper the spending.
So now he is suing, and shining a harsh light on what many agree is wild overspending in Medicare, the biggest health-care purchaser on Earth. The $597 billion it spent in 2014 made up 14 percent of the U.S. government’s budget that year.
In two filings with federal claims court seeking $140 million combined, Mucke’s company, ACLR, contends it could have staunched the bleeding of taxpayer dollars but was instead blocked at every turn by federal bureaucrats uninterested in doing so.
In ACLR’s area of focus, Medicare Part D’s popular drug prescription program, the government estimates $1.9 billion was misspent in 2014 alone. From 2011 to 2014, ACLR’s grand total recovered for the government was a paltry $10 million, with the company’s take of the proceeds 7.5 percent to 12 percent.
