This is my favorite pic from when I was on the Bonnis Hunt Show to draw the winning ticket of the house and car we were raffling off as a fundraiser for my lung transplant. Thank you Bonnie!! — with Chris Hagel, Robin Hagel, Vicki Campbell andChuck.
This is Chuck Campbell. Hi there everybody...So, I never smoked two packs of cigarettes/ day. Unfortunately, for me, I did smoke though. And I, felt guilty for doing it to myself when I was originally diagnosed, but after a couple of years of counseling, I learned that WE ALL do things to ourselves that maybe we shouldn't (eat too much, drive to fast, drink, whatever). So once I was to a point to where I need the life saving operation, the only option I had to do was to raise money since I was under-insured. And, thankfully there are many many many very generous, loving and compassionate people all over this world of ours that have a little different outlook on things than you, who saved my life. Thank you to all of those people. I'm doing great and I thank you all every day for giving me a second chance. What I went thru was terrible and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but at the same time I wouldn't change a single thing about the entire situation!! Life is good...enjoy it.
Hard to believe it has been 6 years.
ReplyDeleteI hope Chuck is doing well.
How about a Chuck update!!
ReplyDeleteI just told his mother, so maybe she will put an update on here.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this?
ReplyDeletechuck is a great guy, but when you smoke 2 packs a day and then try to do fundraising for "lungs for chuck", i have a problem with that.
