Accident Rt. 50 East Bound Involving UPS

Rt. 50 east bound into Ocean City is temporarily closed and being detoured. The detour won't be too inconvenient but expect delays. Your UPS Christmas Eve deliveries may be a bit late as well.

  2. Don't worry - UPS management is on its way with the walking papers. The driver will most likely be fired as they have -0- tolerance.

    1. Dude, the system operates likevthat now....everyonebis guilty, gets punitive action taken on them before they get cleared in court....it is the local laws that over ride the Constitution.....I know, has happened to my twice-...the Sherriff office over-rides the Constitution frequently...

  5. The front wheels of the UPS truck look like they are toed in toward each other.

    Obviously the driver's fault, 2:41??????

    I don't think so.

  7. Regardless of possible mechanical failure, poor maintenance, UPS management will most likely take the position that it was driver error. They be looking for ways to trim their budgets by reducing manpower, increasing loads, raising their bar standards. Remember - there is a reason for trying to encourage their drivers to always make right turns!!

  8. 6:01 - I noticed that to. Possibly poor maintenance and not checking out the undercarriage like worn tie-rods and/or ball joints. If I were the investigating authority I would closely scrutinize UPS's maintenance logs.

  9. Probably Austerity measures, a state of reduced spending and increased frugality.

  10. 8:57 is sofa king clueless. UPS is un ionized by the IBT (teamsters). UPS can't just reduce manpower or change conditions of employment without negotiating said changes with the union. UPS drivers are pretty well protected.

  11. 8:57 - Protected? From whom, the company or the union. I've got news for you, most of the unions are in bed with the companies and thus there is no employee protection.

  12. I believe 8:57 is trying to say that UPS is going un unionized. Maybe UPS has now decided to go independent, like FedEx, Amazon, or Uber.
