Trump: 'I Said It, I Was Wrong, And I Apologize'

Here is my statement.

I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not. I’ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more than a decade-old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me, know these words don’t reflect who I am.

I said it, it was wrong, and I apologize.

I’ve travelled the country talking about change for America. But my travels have also changed me. I’ve spent time with grieving mothers who’ve lost their children, laid off workers whose jobs have gone to other countries, and people from all walks of life who just want a better future. I have gotten to know the great people of our country, and I’ve been humbled by the faith they’ve placed in me. I pledge to be a better man tomorrow, and will never, ever let you down.
Let’s be honest. We’re living in the real world. This is nothing more than a distraction from the important issues we are facing today. We are losing our jobs, we are less safe than we were 8 years ago and Washington is broken.
Hillary Clinton, and her kind, have run our country into the ground.

I’ve said some foolish things, but there is a big difference between words and actions. Bill Clinton has actually abused women and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated his victims. We will discuss this more in the coming days.

See you at the debate on Sunday.

  1. In today's world, a Republican (according to the liberal press) needs to have lived their life as close to the demeanor of Jesus Christ as sub-humanly possible.
A Democrat just needs to know how to play the system.
Over the past 50 years or so of my life, I've cursed; told dirty sexist jokes, smoked some weed in college; and did a few (hundred) other things I'm not particularly proud of.
Today, because of that, I could never be President.
    Very sad situation...

  3. I am so sick of this crap. So WHAT! Look at what she has done! Look at her record of lies! The media reports this and it is a breaking news at the same time she has lied over and over to the FBI, the American people and she gets away with it. What actually blows my mind is there are enough ignorant people that will support her even knowing what she has done but not give him a chance because of some stupid comments that he has said. It shouldn't surprise me actually they voted for Obama twice! But any woman that is voting for Hillary because she is a woman is just as bad as someone voting for someone because of the color of their skin. We all need to come together to get this country focused on what is important. And the only one talking about anything that makes since is Trump. Put America first, take care of our own first, JOBS, immigration, VETS, rebuilding our military...etc. not some bullish!t about comments someone made 10+ years ago or the fact that he used the tax code that people like Clinton have set up. Oh that's right he wants to fix the tax code and guess what Wallstreet is backing her! "Lightbulb" wonder why? And I am so disappointed in our FBI! I would love to see any other case in history in which documents have been destroyed, lie after lie, immunity given to just about everyone, this could go on and and yet they still all get off. If you can honestly think that Hilary Clinton will do anything other than enrich herself just as she has done than you delusional.

  4. My guess is that at some time in their lives, most men have made less than flattering comments about women. Women also "check out" men. How would you like things you said in the past, when joking around with someone, be played for the world to hear?

I think we all know that Trump isn't the typical politician. If he had been one, he would have been more discrete in his comments. He was a private citizen when these comments were made.

While this is unfortunate, the bigger picture includes issues like Supreme Court appointments. Let's not get side-tracked by crass, locker room remarks vs. the corruption of Clinton and the lives lost in Benghazi.

  5. If Trump is on the Ballot he gets my VOTE period. Just think of all the disgusting things Hillary has done in the last 11 years and what she could potentially do as POTUS, no way she should be in the White House again. Ever

  6. Democrats are the worst of the worst. There is a decent democrat alive. They criticize Trump and pretend offense but don't utter a word while Obama welcomes into the white house those rap losers whose "music" is very crude and vulgar toward women. Or they don't want to even mention how Clinton said a 12 yr old deserved to be raped or had it coming to her and what she said about all her husbands victims. The fact is all democrats are liars and hypocrites and if they were all to suddenly disappear the world would be a better place. There is no such thing as a decent democrat all lying filth.

  8. Billy Bush is Jeb Bush's first cousin. Is it any surprise that he is part of the leaking of that tape? The Bush family should be kicked out of the Republican party. They are a disgrace!

  13. Wtf? How could you not vote for him? This man admitted his mistakes and stood up and apologized. Not one politician has done that in decades. This is exactly what we need. More regular men and women then career politicians. Regular men made our country great. A true super power. This country turned for the worse once politicians made careers out of it. Raised children to do the same. When the regular Joe was not in office any longer the people lost its voice and we became ruled over by dictators. All matters need to be voted on by every citizen. Not one person representing a district etc. When one is corrupt or has a stake in the matter ,the people's voice will never be heard! Term limits must be implemented!
