CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) — A former Cambridge police officer has been accused of making threats to attack the police department’s headquarters.
The Star Democrat of Easton (http://bit.ly/29RsHfn ) reports that 47-year-old Matthew R. Collins was arrested and charged Tuesday with making a threat of mass violence and second-degree assault.
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says in charging documents that a deputy received a text message from Collins that implied the former officer was intending to attack the headquarters and kill a member of the administrative staff.
