A Viewer Writes: There Are Suckers Born Every Day

This kid seen making money for the officers shot in Dallas by way of a drink stand told me a different story. Well, his mom did. The kid didn't speak much at all.

They informed me they had a daughter in the house who was extremely sick and contagious with some sort of illness. And this young man wanted to buy a get well present for his sister. Mom then says money's tight and every little bit helps. So I quickly reach for a $10 bill an tell them God bless.

Later in the evening I see the same little boy posing with Mike Lewis and Baker and the caption is about this kid raising money for the Dallas Police victims. I'm like what the hell? Is this kid, really mom who's doing all the talking, scamming folks? And now this post is on Facebook I wonder how many people will run to help support this cause and the boy? How much money will be raised and will it actually go where it belongs? How many other people have been told a different story? Beware when donating folks!

Publishers Notes: Regardless of the fundraising intention, those who donated did so from the heart. Give the kid credit, he knows how to play each and every customer. I see a TOP SALESMAN OF THE YEAR plaque on the wall in his future.

  1. Let's hope that he got enough for the present and is giving the rest to the police. If he is changing his story each time that doesn't not make him anything but dishonest. Not a good teaching moment if this is what his mother is teaching him.

  3. You see the makings of a future top salesman
I see the makings of a future crook.

This kid is being taught to lie and the results is stealing. Hopefully the money earned has been used toward his sister and Dallas victims. If not, this child is already living a life of crime, encouraged by the teachings of his Mother.

  6. He's been out there selling multiple times. Before Dallas. I have no idea what his story is but he's been trying to sell for several weeks.

  7. It is sad but at least everyone now will know the truth and maybe because of this post the parent and child will do the right thing. It is because of this that I don't give everytime I'm asked. A lot of stores now collect at check out for this and that and I don't give except when I know the $ for sure is given to someone in real need.

  8. The reason I don't donate is that there is NEVER any accountability.
The funds never go where they're supposed to go.

  12. I certainly don't see the name of the author who wrote this story calling the boy a liar. Simply, "A viewer writes" doesn't substantiate this lie. Anything done good to bring light to support for law enforcement is quickly challenged by supporters of criminals in BLM. Mike Lewis is an amazing Sheriff and the people who generally dislike him are liberals and criminals.
