Chef Andrew Zimmern slams Chesapeake Hyatt

Chef Andrew Zimmern has been to the far corners of the globe. He's known for eating everything from weird animal parts to the oddest regional dishes. And yet, what he couldn't stomach, apparently, was a stay at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay.

Zimmern, host of the Travel Channel's"Bizarre Foods," unleashed about the hotel onTwitter Monday morning, making it quite plain how he felt about his stay there.

"Hyatt in Chesapeake, guys come into room without knocking, spills not cleaned for 24 hours in halls, food doesn't match menu... And on & on," he wrote.

He also said the following, his swear word bleeped: "Pet peeve: [Bleep]y hotels masquerading as good ones. All hat and no cowboy. Good service, clean room at any price level is what matters."

  1. What's the matter?

Doesn't he like our poor immigrant workers who ride bicycles to work at such a fancy place?

  5. He also said the local crabs are full of pollution and taste of it, but that got deleted, due to the economic impact it would have. He can taste this poison in the crabs, he said it tasted just like the ones that were poisoned with toxic spills.

  6. It's nasty and over priced.

And I have been there for events and the food is NASTY!! I am talking about the main menu on Saturday night for the black tie event. The food is just GROSS!! It is a convenient place to stay for functions, but the food is nasty and I mean NASTY. The deserts are also GROSS!! I hope those idiots running that place are reading this also.

"..only want to visit there when they expect some high government officials..."

I can assure you the place is no better when high government officials are there. The place is expensive and has horrible service and horrible food. I attend every year for the Maryland Association of County's Winter Conference and there are all county and state elected officials as well as the Governor, U.S. Senators and Congressman. The place is an embarrassment, the food is nasty and the room service is horrible. The main event night the food is just as bad. Crap that I wouldn't feed my dog masquerading as a main entree. It is nasty.
