Randi Weingarten, president of the 1.6 million member American Federation of Teachers (AFT), made her remarks during a conference call with reporters set up by the Democratic National Committee.
“What we’ve seen with Donald Trump is that there is now a new phenomenon in schools called the ‘Trump Effect,'” Weingarten said. “It will take decades to overcome the way Donald Trump speaks and promotes violence, xenophobia and racism. This is creating bullying environments in schools across the country.”

There was bullying in schools long before trump came along.
ReplyDeleteNo Trump isn't and teachers are not, the parents are.
ReplyDeleteThis is obviously the Weingarten effect that usually followed by the request for $15 wages.
ReplyDeleteTeachers make quite a bit more than $15/hr, you think they want less money? And the whole statement is wrong.
DeleteSpeaking as a teacher, let me assure you the problems in our schools stem from trying to appease parents who don't know how to parent. We cater to the lowest form of behavior to avoid disciplinary referrals.
ReplyDeleteBollocks! Hillary has been a bigger bully.
ReplyDelete10:27 and with that being said teachers have usurped the role of parents. Teachers/administrators began a social agenda of teaching sexuality, lgbt issues, bullying, earth day and tolerance. Get back to math, English and science and let parents deal with the other.
ReplyDeleteEducate yourself by coming into the classrooms and see what's really being taught! Not sure what websites you're reading, but that's not what's happening in Wicomico!
DeleteMore ridiculous things Hillarys puppets say the more vote trump gets. For all the teachers this is internet short hand.
ReplyDeleteif they lie about such little things...they will def lie about the big things, do they think everyone is so stupid or they so stupid as to not realize the discredit they bring to themselves? I hope their atleast wagering to see who can tell the most absurd lie ever
ReplyDeleteThe head of a large teachers' union. Which means she hasn't been inside of a classroom in years and sees everything through liberal glasses.
ReplyDeleteIt's broken and you're not fixing it, so move aside.
I'm putting faith in Trump to change the way we teach our children, from the ground up. Our education system is a shadow of what it once was, and in the shadow are people who want to keep it that way so that they seem relevant. It's time to chuck you out and get the wagons moving again.
ReplyDeleteGET RID OF THE TEACHERS UNION! !!! Remember how GREAT this profession was before the union? ?? Union was formed to help workers. Now they are part of the Democrat party pushing agendas that have NOTHING to do with teaching.
ReplyDeleteThe democrats have to blame someone. Bullying was around when I was in school and that was 52 years ago. You can not blame Trump for any of this. School teachers who are in the teachers union did NOT vote for Hillary!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand so begins the against Trump campaign begins
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how Trump is guilty of EVERYTHING now. He is to blame for the racial crisis. He is to blame for the bullying situation. A month ago he was a clown who no one should pay any attention to and yet now, he is just to blame for everything. He is probably to blame for setting up Hilary's server in her closet.
ReplyDeleteSorta how we've blamed Obama for most everything!
DeleteIt's still raining. Damn you, Trump! Or is it gerrymandering that's at fault?!
ReplyDeleteBullying was there looong before Trump came along!
ReplyDeleteIs ANYONE still responsible for their actions?
