People urge Disney to #GiveElsaAGirlfriend in campaign to raise LGBT awareness in 'Frozen'

WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Several people on Twitter have launched a social media campaign asking Disney to give Elsa, a main character from the animated film "Frozen", a girlfriend to raise awareness on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.

A hashtag called #GiveElsaAGirlfriend was created on Twitter to boost support for the change.

A sequel to the 2013 mega-hit is in the works, but Disney has not announced a release date, according to an article from the Independent.com.

    I come from the generation when Walt Disney was inventing and running a new FAMILY oriented company, and our FAMILY enjoyed his show on SUNDAY evenings.

    It's been trashed since he died. It's time to change the name of the company.

    Any suggestions here?

    As warped as Disney as a company has become since it departed from the founders' vision, this doesn't surprise me. I'm glad I was able to take my kids to their park before it became an abomination of liberal putridness!
