Get ready to give away more of your money as 2017 is certain to include new rate hikes for Obamacare.
Early indicators show that individual insurance premiums could rise by as much as one-third. For example, in Oregon, Moda Health Plan wants to raise premiums by 32.3 percent. In Virginia, five of the biggest insurers are asking for increases of 9.4 percent to 37.1 percent for individual policies.
The proposed rate hikes follow an average increase of 8 percent for 2016. The hikes are a result of higher pharmaceutical costs and sicker-than-expected patients. On Wednesday, the health insurer Humana (HUM) said it may exit some state Obamacare insurance exchanges “to retain a viable product.”

What a joke Obummercare has turned out to be, just sick politics at work
ReplyDeleteI never understood why it wasn't obvious that Obamacare was dangerous.
ReplyDeleteIt is simply not American. It is of foreign invention and from deceitful greedy people.
It was a direct violation of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
We are no longer a free people.
How's that hope and change working out for you?
ReplyDeleteGood they voted for it so let them enjoy.

ReplyDeleteworking out just fine for the free-loaders that leach off of the working people of this once great country. "Spreading it around a little bit" said the fraudster in chief.
ReplyDelete8 49 they are not all raking in profits. United Health care lost millions of $$$$ last year
ReplyDelete906 if it goes up that means yours goes up. No matter plan you have it will increase dramatically.
ReplyDeleteI am not under Obama care as I did not want to go through one of the state plans. Instead I have been able to keep my old plan as I was grandfathered in; however, my premium is going up to 724.00 a month (single)
ReplyDeletefrom $612.00 current - almost 20 percent increase for bare bone coverage and a high deductible. I am self employed so no one else paying for my monthly premium and I for one DID not want Obamacare! I despise
OBAMA!!!!
Trump 2016!!!!!
We used to have decent insurance. That was before Obamacare. Now we can't afford to go see a doctor. What once was just a copay now has become a huge deductible. Meanwhile the leeches on society are able to go to the doctor for anything and they pay nothing! We might as well just give up and quit our jobs so we can get free healthcare, free food, free housing and we can just sit around all day and do nothing. What's the sense in working yourself to death so other can get it for free. We are looking forward to being able to buy seafood and have someone else fix for free all the things in the place we will be living in. If we stub our toes we can call an ambulance and have them come and get us so they can put a bandaid on it. It's all going to be free!!
