The county agreed in 2013 to collaborate with Prince George’s County and Washington in gradually raising the minimum to $11.50 by 2017. Montgomery County’s current minimum wage is $9.55.

ReplyDelete$15 an hour is hardly a "living wage" especially in Montgomery County. What it will do is make a lot of the working poor ineligible for food stamps, housing assistance and Medicaid.

ReplyDeleteThe bureaucrats who have taken over PGCo & MoCo have mandated higher wages and numerous fringe benefits to small business employees all over MD. The mandators are parasites feeding at the gubmint trough and draining us dry!
