Maryland Passes Bill That Would Keep Pesticides Harmful To Bees Off Retail Shelves

Although some retailers have stopped selling pesticides that are thought to be harmful to bees, amid concerns over the declining population of honeymakers, Maryland will become the first state to have a legal measure barring the products.

    I understand the importance of bees and the pollination process but don't you think there are more pressing issues for congress to be considering during work sessions??

    7:03 - no bees, no food. And you do not find that to be a pressing issue. I suggest you do some research on the problem before you speak next time.

    This is a very small percentage, it has to also impact farmers, they use it by the gallons!

    Farmers also use bees by hiring beekeepers to plant hives on the farm to ensure best pollination. They may use it bt the gallon, but PROPERLY, unlike those who may be unaware that using "whats on the shelf" for a bug problem that may inadvertently kill local bees, like spraying on flowering plants.

    We probably throw away more food than is available to some. And if you really want to look at a statistic there @8:26 we do have the highest rate of obesity. Yea I don't think there's any food shortage to be worried about. I think maybe the drug problems homeless, terrorist etc are a little more pressing!! JUST SAYING
