Sheriff Lewis reports that deputies responded to a call for a wreck at about 10:45 pm and found the driver dead at the scene. There were no other occupants of the vehicle. Any witness to the crash is asked to call 410-548-4891.
Toxicology reports generally take several weeks to reveal any blood alcohol content in the deceased’s system, as he had a record of driving while impaired.
On June 6, 2015, Drummond was arrested for DUI and negligent driving in a careless and imprudent manner while endangering life, property, and person, by Maryland State Trooper M. Johnson as he traveled on Civic Ave., at Rt. 50 in Salisbury. Wicomico County States Attorney Matthew Maciarello agreed to a plea deal on Feb. 22, 2016, to Probation Before Judgment with a fine of $342.50 and no time in jail.

What goes around comes around............
ReplyDeleteWhat's this man's past have to do with a fatal accident ?? Seems like the blood lines run a little too close here in salisbury
ReplyDeleteI agree. Completely unnecessary
DeleteSo be it. The question is are others going to blame society for his failures or George Bush.
ReplyDeleteBlm baloney
ReplyDeleteLet me tell you a few things about this story.
ReplyDeleteWe heard the gun shot that night, turned on the scanner and heard about the the delivery driver robbery.
We heard another shot last night ( this is a frequent occurrence on the east side).. Turn on the scanner and the cops are now reporting them as... someone lit a firecracker.
Hate to tell ya coppers but we know what a gun shot sounds like.
Once this winter someone popped off like 10 shots, this was after a series of single shots. The cops tried to hide it as a "transformer". It wasn't. But later the place was crawlin with cops.
They are lying to hide the problem.
You want to know just how bad it is, go to youtube and find videos posted by a gang lovin dude by the name of KOREY KARTER. You will see two videos made by the other dead drug dealer from Prince street. Under Slim Jones. He is at a house at the 1100 block of E Church St. This is the reality of the community you live in.
See what the politicians and cops are hiding from you.
Why are you putting peoples names and addresses out like that but won't post your name??? What are you hiding??? Calling people can members because of a video...smdh
DeleteWhy are you putting peoples names and addresses out like that but won't post your name??? What are you hiding??? Calling people can members because of a video...smdh
DeleteWhy are you putting people's names and addresses out there like that??? Yet you commented under the name Anonymous.Do you have something to hide??? Calling people drug dealers because of a YouTube video??? Smh...
DeleteWhy are you putting peoples names and addresses out like that but won't post your name??? What are you hiding??? Calling people can members because of a video...smdh
DeleteBut your username of MissFisher tells us who you are? I am not even the one posting that stuff but why are you calling someone out under an assumed name? Hypocrite!!
DeleteSo why did anyone need to know about his past? It has nothing to do with the fact he died from a car accident. Not from committing a crime he served time for. Wow sick
ReplyDeletePlease update and put how he also was turned his life around... how he was a coach doing better for himself and kids in the community........
ReplyDeletePlease tell me something criminal he has been charged with after he served his time for the robbery?
DeleteAgreed
DeleteI'm still trying to figure out what his past has to do with the fact he died in a car accident?
ReplyDeleteWhat are the chances this drug dealer, offed the drug dealer on Pierce Ave? The timeline works.
ReplyDeleteWho cares about his past this is a life that's gone
ReplyDeleteWhoever put this out is a low life coward and obviously does have a conscious or a heart am has never loss anyone close...an the comment what goes around comes around it sure does and your gonna eat those words...ignorance isn't cute nor sexy or make you a G....
ReplyDelete11:05 really? You are also a supporter of Hillary's?
ReplyDeleteKienda, apparently he did not learn his lesson nor serve his time since he was recently arrested, for committing the crime of robbery and using a gun to commit the robbery. Can you say felony?
ReplyDeleteSo tell me again, how he turned his life around? I seem to be missing that part of the story.
You should read again!
DeleteYour stupid, he didn't just commit that crime. If you can read it happen when he was 20. This article is awful
DeleteAnonymous at 11:42- this is where reading comprehension is important. The robbery took place in 2008...not recently.
DeleteThis is salisbury and mike Lewis show. If I were the family of this young man I would seek some sort of recourse. There is no way any reason to report any past judicial proceedings this man might have dealt with. This was a traffic fatality PERIOD!! This is tasteless and true ignorance. Old sheriff Lewis wouldn't wNt all the dirt he does written up in the news, it's no better
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with anything ??? He passed away ..
ReplyDeletePerhaps Sheriff Lewis believes death was not accidental
DeletePeople make me sick always talking about someone's past. This man changed his life around. His past is what made him who is was currently. Helping the community coaching the kids leading them in the right direction so they wouldn't make mistakes that he did. Pray for his children and family if you really want to do something. This man is gone and people loved him regardless of his past. Jesus help these people for they know not what they do. Come judgement day what positive impact have you had on the youth or anyone else. Sweep around your own front door....
ReplyDeleteHis past matters because it's always nice to know that there is one less criminal roaming around. His past is what taught him it's ok to drive while your hammered. His past...got him where he is right now.
ReplyDeleteWhat does a person's past have to do with an auto accident?!? Are you freaking serious! This area needs prayer! Where are your pasitors and priest! Hell bound for sure!
DeletePeople are very sad and inconsiderate. Just because it wasnt one of your family members doesnt mean that it cant and wont happen. Its such a shame how people will dwell on ones past and not even say nothing about the good its always the bad, it just shows there are some really messed up people out in here especially smallsbury
DeleteYou are a moron. We all make mistakes in life. Guess you lived a perfect life as well? Always quick to judge. Smh
DeleteHis past does matter.. why are you trying to stick up for a no good thug? You guys sticking up for him must have some other agenda. Grow up. Would you be this concerned if it was a white thug? I think not, you would giggle under your breath. White or black, doesn't matter, this thug got what he had coming to him.
DeleteOne of the stupidest comments I have seen today. You think that knowing he had a criminal past is helpful?? That has nothing to do with a car accident. I'm glad you think the streets are safe because he died. You obviously need prayer for your mental disorder.
DeleteHes has had dwi. Hes speeds excessively. He holds guns to peeps heads and demands money. These are things in his oast that should of taught him a lesson. These thing contributed to his death in the car accident become he was intoxicated. Maybe if you actually read the lost instead of jumping on some bandwagon uninformed you ciuld comprehend what I'm saying.
DeleteSo you knew he was intoxicated and that contributed to his death? The article states above "Toxicology reports generally take several weeks to reveal any blood alcohol content in the deceased’s system, as he had a record of driving while impaired." It says he has a record of impaired driving but a toxicology report has not been released from this accident yet. Unless you have the toxicology report and you have the results?? He has had a DWI before...yes but does that mean he drinks and drives every time he gets behind the wheel?? This is where reading comprehension is important.
DeleteMaybe I know details that are not in the report.
DeleteI coached with this young man for my sons football organization. I was unaware of his past and I think it was irrelevant. The turn out for his candle light visual was awesome. His players and my son turned out for it. I had just saw him the week before and he had a lot of good ideas for the Wicomico County Panthers. What was even more upsetting is his mom telling us that she was on the phone with him as he wrecked. Please pray for his two young sons. He would do anything for them. We took them bowling last night and it was good to see smiles on there faces. All of his players cried last night at the visual. Unfortunate that the article states this.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know where not to take my kids to play football. You work at goodwill and hes a robber. Cool coaches.
Delete"What was even more upsetting is his mom telling us that she was on the phone with him as he wrecked."
DeleteIt is against the law to be on a phone while driving. Proof bad things happen when you break the law
This is what happens when you believe everything you read. What his mother said at the vigil last night is that she last spoke with him at 10:15. He told her he would call her back once he arrived home and she said but I never got that call back.
DeleteThis is what happens when you believe everything you read. What his mother said at the vigil last night is that she last spoke with him at 10:15. He told her he would call her back once he arrived home and she said but I never got that call back.
DeleteYou mean... smiles on *their faces
DeleteSo at @12:13 when you pass away you saying it's ok to print up in your obituary all the screw ups you made in life?? I'm sure there a FEW
ReplyDeleteAn obituary is a different critter, than a new article.
DeleteSo at @12:13 when you pass away you saying it's ok to print up in your obituary all the screw ups you made in life?? I'm sure there a FEW
ReplyDeleteMost of our comments are never posted! This area is so racist! No matter what a black person does they are somehow demoralized and made to seem as if a tragedy is just all because of their skin or their past. I for one am sick of this and I strongly feel this is grounds for be sued. End of the day no one deserves to die. But when one of our white neighbors overdose or steal etc they need rehab or its somebody else's fault like doctors or dealers! Hello folks these are ppl that chose to rob, steal, indulge in drugs, no one is forcing them. But a murder or accident is not the fault of the victim. These are victims and grieving families! I'm ashamed at this community! I'm beginning to believe the blacks have a valid point the shore is biased and extremely racist! This is embarrassing! Do better, stop blaming blacks for society's problems! We have whites that do the same if not more,we just get punished differently because we get lawyers and excuses while the poor are at the mercy of the judicial system. End of rant( I'm sure you won't post this either)!
ReplyDeleteMike lewis can go to hell... When u pass lets see what ur acrticle reads.. This is so childish
ReplyDeleteWhat about the white people who are continuously in district court for drinking and driving? So when they die that makes their death not tragic? So having a past criminal history makes your death OK?!? So wonder the Lord's wrath is so strong in that area, all the hate is unjust! Wake up people! Stop hiding behind these blogs! I'm certain most of you are teachers and public servants who secretly are prejudice but probably have a family full of half black babies!
ReplyDeleteMike lewis can go to hell lets see what ur article reads if u pass.. WHO EVER WROTE THIS MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON UR SOUL NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE DO DRUGS KILL PEOPLE ETC.... LORD HAVE MERCY
ReplyDeleteNo, not all black people are uncivilized, uneducated, immoral, violent, predatory parasites.
DeleteMike lewis can go to hell... When u pass lets see what ur acrticle reads.. This is so childish
ReplyDeleteSad. This is my friends son and all this is unacceptable. Let her and her family mourn please.
ReplyDeleteNo problem Kienda. He was charged with DWI and multiple other traffic offenses after serving time for the robbery. He did NOT turn his life around because if he did he wouldn't have the multiple traffic offenses which only prove to show he could have careless than he was endangering others by the way he drove. Also after serving time for the robbery he was on probation and which he violated and was supposed to appear at the hearing yesterday. So much for turning his life around. Couldn't even be bothered to comply with the terms of his probation.
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder the youth are the way they are if this common criminal is what people think as someone who has turned their life around.
And 11:53 I have news for you. Come my judgement day I'm going straight to Heaven because unlike you I do as God commands and calls out those who are led astray and don't try and sugar coat things by covering them up which is a way of lying and sinning. You need to get on that broom and start sweeping frantically because God doesn't like you all who try and cover up and hide the truth. No HE does not! You need to repent immediately otherwise come your judgement day you'll be one sorry soul and it will be too late when you are swept into the deep hole of hell.
Amazing you are talking about covering up and sweeping to deep hole of hell and on here posting anonymous. But carry on.
DeleteBut how is this man's past anyone's business? So if u do a crime anddie from cancer your a bad person? Get real welcome to what are world is becoming. Always about color and past smh
DeleteWow so you are saying that because he has a criminal past he didn't repent? Did you know him personally? Obviously not. I hope you repented after making comments like this about someone who died.
Deletewhat Kienda is so poorly trying to articulate is the fact that the robbery happened in 2008 and since then the only thing he has been caught doing is jeopardizing other peoples lives by:
ReplyDeleteEXCEEDING MAXIMUM SPEED: 90 MPH IN A POSTED 65 MPH ZONE
CAUSING STANDING VEH. TO OBSTRUCT FREE VEH. PASSAGE OF ROADWAY
DRIVING VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
NEGLIGENT DRIVING VEHICLE IN CARELESS AND IMPRUDENT MANNER ENDANGERING PROPERTY, LIFE AND PERSON
EXCEEDING MAXIMUM SPEED: 68 MPH IN A POSTED 40 MPH ZONE
To her, these do not count as a crime because luckily he did not kill or injure anyone
This man's life was lost! It does not matter what he did in his past. This world is so judgemental! What if it was your son that turned to drugs and violence!? What if your loved one had a crash and died. Would u want people saying this stuff about them? His past had absolutely nothing to do with the media reporting this crash and who ever wrote this should be ashamed of themselves! God save their soul and im praying for the victims family!!
ReplyDeleteI want to know why the S/A gave him such a sweet plea. Maybe he is still alive today if he actually did his time.
ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Tyran Drummond this past summer. Tyran spent 3 hours per night for 4 nights a week and 4 hours on Saturdays volunteering as a football coach. He coached a rowdy group of players between the ages of 7-10, who all loved the game as much as he did. His son was also on the team. My son started the season with a passion to play and not much structure. Tyran, and the other team coaches, worked diligently with the kids and taught them to play as a team. That TEAM came off a losing record for the previous year and won the championship for their division this year. Tyran and the other coaches took money out of their pockets to order trophies and planned a celebratory party for the kids at the end of the season. I don’t know what his past consists of. However, I will be remembering the man who ran out to the field and scooped his kids (team kids) up and smiled from ear to ear after each victory, one who gave our kids speech after speech about not giving up, and a man who instilled hard work and perseverance values in a group of disorderly kids… My family will always remember you as a Coach!

ReplyDeleteHe was an armed robber thug who continued to put people at risk by driving drunk (probably more times for which he was caught) and wreckless behavior. Only person I feel sorry for is his kid.
ReplyDelete2:32 you just don't get it.
Deleteif anyone ever had the pleasure of knowing billy gene Jackson you are very lucky. also you would know how a real man turns his life around. he was a great leader at the boys club and made sure everyone there respected each other. we damn sure could use a lot of billy gene right now.
ReplyDeleteYou all who are saying this area is racist are not only off base but clueless and are only showing your ignorance. Educate yourselves before making comments. You can start by looking right here on this blog. When the WHITE mayor was charged with all kinds of traffic offenses he was treated no differently than this guy. Look at the comments on the posts of many whites who were charged multiple times with DWI and read the comments. White criminals are put on blast as much and usually more than black ones and if you don't believe it Google Thomas Leggs and Salisbury News.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom line and something no one ever needs to forget is once you decide to cross that line into criminality it never leaves you. Not ever and the only person to blame is the person who committed the crime.
Kevin Lindsay said-" Please pray for his two young sons. He would do anything for them."
ReplyDeleteYes I will pray for his sons but please don't say he would do anything for them when he couldn't even be bothered with complying with his probation and had a violation hearing just yesterday. He most likely would have been immediately sent to prison to serve his full sentence. This is not someone who would do "anything" for their children. Doing anything for your children first and foremost being a positive role model and that includes abiding by your obligations to the judicial system.
@2:32 you sound like a bitter old craba••, it's people like you who are unable to find forgiveness and try treating people with some dignity no matter how bad they might have messed up. People like you and your ignorant perception are a major reason why there isn't more positive change on our culture.
ReplyDeleteWhat's harder than a armed robber/drug dealer?
ReplyDeleteA tree.
Doh.
A young man died and left two young boys without a father. His children can read. And this article is testing them to be insensitive. Then people wonder why children are acting the way they are and treating each other terribly. We as parents are suppose to teach our kids right from wrong. And yes he made a mistake and yes he may not have been perfect. But at the end he was someone's father, son, brother, cousin uncle or friend. He was a human being and no matter his flaws he should be recognized as one. And his family should be shown sympathy for their no matter what type of person he was.
ReplyDeleteYour past decisions describe what kind of person you are, It's good to know who you are dealing with.

We mentioned the drug dealers house in a block on a street because it is.
We mentioned his name because he made it public by posting it on the WWW - WORLD wide web.
shdh at your ignorance.
This is sad he had a family and turned his life around...but yet its just like Salisbury and our higher ups to turn this around to make it something its not!!! Mike Lewis can go to hell along with whoever runs the Chesapeake today blog!!!

It's not one bit amazing if you would bother to stop and think about it. A black man was shot dead in his own home most likely by another black last week. Black on black crime is epidemic and completely out of control. Do you think for one second it would be wise or prudent for anyone to post their real name on here? Huh? Do you? Retaliation is a huge thing in black communities. Now you carry on and while you are at it think before you comment silly ridiculous things.
Ridiculous???? Then black on black is the most ridiculous thing said on here. You do understand that 83% whites kill whites. Crime are committed usually with the people you live around. You sound ignorant with retaliation comment too. I'm not concerned about that. I'm trying to understand why you call out and say mis information and then hide. Your black on black crime comment another way to buffer against responsibility, a way to shift blame and deflect cause and effect. You sir and your comment is actually silly. Anytime you want a education come talk, I'm at the Goodwill and if you are really concerned about black on black crime do something instead of getting on here spitting your misinformed privelaged comments.
DeleteKevin doesn't bring up race when it's black on black, but we only need 1 white on black crime and it's #BlackLivesMatter
DeleteYou are so disrespectful! Im going to pray for you. Its obvious you wasn't raised no better.
ReplyDeleteKevin Lindsay what is more amazing is that you as a father wouldn't be more diligent as to who is coaching your sons team. The tools such as MD Judiciary Case Search and the Sex Offenders registry are available for anyone to use and if you had been diligent as all parents should be you would have been aware of his past. Your child's life and well being depends on parents who know who is around their children at all times. In this day and age I find it utterly amazing, irresponsible and quite sad that any parent wouldn't take the small amount of time it takes to investigate the coach of their child's team.
ReplyDeleteObviously you are a child expert and a perfect person. How can I be as perfect as you???
Deletefirst of all don't every question my parenting. Secondly there are background checks done. Also, he coached in our organization and there are different teams. Educate yourself before spilling your privelaged comment about how I am as a parent. I'm doing everything that these aynomous comments are saying black men don't do, which in misrepresented also. All I'm saying is let this family bury their love one before posting irrelevant article. But carry on with your hidden comments.
DeleteKevin, it would be spelled:
Delete- don't *ever question
- *privileged
For the ones that's making these disrespectful comments I'm going to pray for you
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he violated his probation at least 2x's maybe 3. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was trying to turn his life around but wasn't quite there yet. To me violating probation is a very serious matter. You were given a chance to show you have become a responsible citizen and you blow it when you don't comply and you risk the very real possibility of going back to prison.
ReplyDeleteFor all you geniuses new this blog apparently. SBYnews didn't even write this post. It's wasn't in the newspaper. It is not his obituary. It originated from another blog.
ReplyDeleteYes all people make mistakes. People forgive. They do not forget. I don't know maybe it's a black and white thing. I know I am white and I am very unforgiving. It's seems our black readers always forgive criminals so easily.
I wish all black people would forgive white people for a few things.
I wish blacks people would "forgive us white people our trespasses" as quickly as whites forgive and condone and cover up black people's "trespasses".
Delete2:54 people like you are why blacks don't value life and are murdering each other in record numbers. When a black child gets his brains blow out by a stray bullet it's on your back. You may as well pulled the trigger yourself. Also it would benefit you to go to a church a REAL church. God said you only forgive after someone repents AND changes their ways. If you are forgiving indiscriminately then you are a sinner. By not telling it like it is and forgiving and not judging you are enabling the sinners and it makes you more of a sinner than they are! Jesus forgave but he also said "go and sin no more." If they continued to sin Jesus shunned them. This is why some faiths still practice shunning. It's a way to get the sinner to repent, change and then and only then be welcomed back in the fold. Again please get to church and please please make sure it's a real church which are few and very far between in the black communities and that is the root of all the killings they are doing to each other.
ReplyDeleteDid little Naploean complexed Lewis use his overpriced white elephant of an anti personnel vehicle to investigate?

April 9, 2016 at 3:52 PM"
Not "disrespectful" truthful. Yes you really really need to pray but only for anyone but yourself. You need to pray that you will become an honest person and that you will respect the truth and not lie and call the truth something that it's not. Yes please do pray, repent and change your ways otherwise come judgement day you are going to be very very sorry. God does not like people who are not honest.
This is the problem with Wicomico County. Everyone has a past, but it's what you are doing in the present. This man turned his life around and helped youth so that they would not go down the path he once did. Everyone has a past including those city in the county counsel, riding around in patrol cars, running our jails, etc. Those same people have been guilty of texting/talking on their cell phones while driving which also puts others life at risk.
ReplyDeleteI love how people go to the md court case site and look up information to try and validate their mean spiritness. FYI do you personally know why he may have been charged with probation violation, do you know with out a shadow of a doubt he would have been sent back to prison.
This article was one sided and poorly written.
I see that racism is still ramped on the shore judging by some of these comments. I pray for the victim's family (yes he was a victim...whether the accident was alcohol, weather, or health related), his family, friends, the victim from his past, and even those making hateful comments.
It would be nice if people put as much time and passion into their childrens' education as they do with football. Great role model for the children. Armed robber on parole/probation and still blatantly ignoring the law. It's sad for his children and his mother.
ReplyDeleteGood 'ol racism alive and well here in DA 'BURY
ReplyDeleteHow is this racist
DeleteStill no one answers this important question
DeleteI think this is dumb. The news company should find something more informative to post! Revealing his past means nothing. So what he did something wrong. He was grown, admitted to his wrong, and accepted the consequences. Life goes on! Who are you to judge the next person? Who are you to try to shame someone? Judge ya self! Judge ya momma! Put things into perspective. He was still someone child, brother, father, and friend. All that's going on in the community you post about a deceased persons past. SMh! Shame in you! This is insensitive and sad! Write about these crooked cops, rich white folks embezzling millions everyday, or racial profiling in Salisbury and surrounding cities! Do that if you wanna do something!!
ReplyDeleteHe was a father (if being a thug is what you want to call it), a son, and a friend. Let me ask you this. If it was a white person that this happened to would you still be on here commenting about it? I think not. So I think you need to "Judge ya self" and not be hypocritical. If you wouldn't say the same thing about a white person then you need to not comment.
DeleteAnd the next thing I expected you to say is "only black lives matter"... you are the sad one.
DeleteAshley Williams - so what you are saying is that we all are supposed to pretend a felon isn't a felon just because he died?
ReplyDeleteA wife beater dies and at the funeral are we all to cry and say what a great man he was?
This isn't solely about a mans past, because obviously this man presently continued to violate parole and break the law and put others in harms way by his selfishness and you want me to celebrate that and say he changed and what a great man he was just because he died?
3:52 define disrespectful. Now the truth is disrespectful?
ReplyDeleteI'm saying who are you to judge?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of father lets a stick up guy and drunk coach his kids?
ReplyDeleteI'm more concerned that the football league let a drunk and criminal coach kids. His kids will be ok, if they have learned from a family members mistakes. I'm sorry for them now, but time heals all.
I don't think anyone hatin' on him did so because of his color. Pretty sure it's because of his life choices.
ReplyDeleteWe hate all the white and hispanic drug dealers and junkies too.
Let me explain something to ALL of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm being called a RACIST and a BIGOT in comments here as well as on Facebook. Look, I couldn't care less what you call me. I'll leave it at that.
As for the racist charges, I have rejected a TON of racist comments but let me assure you of one thing right here and now. They are NOT coming from WHITE people. They are black people. They are threatening to kill whitey, rape their daughters and the list goes on and on.
Because I have seen so many of these RACIST comments coming in I decided to leave this post and the other one up top. I believe people have the right to express their opinions, as long as they follow our rules.
As for exposing the past history, we have every right to do so. Just because someone passed away doesn't mean they didn't leave a legacy. It doesn't mean that some drug dealers didn't sell drugs to others who overdosed and died. Then they found the Lord and all is good and forgiven.
Someone said it earlier, should we not have published the past information on Thomas Leggs who killed Sarah Foxwell?
If you don't like what people are saying, stay away from the comments.
It seriously blows my mind how this can be deemed racist at all. Please, please explain to me how not caring if a criminal and drunkard is dead is racist. I am so confused.
ReplyDelete4:23 So, it is ok for the convicted rapist who has served his time to date your sister or daughter? Regardless of color, not in my world!
ReplyDeleteJoe blog is actually the most informative news I get around here. But with all do respects the "black on black" comment is destructive and racialized that perpetuates an idea that blacks are somehow more prone to violence. We need to get away from that narrative and statement.
ReplyDeleteKevin, maybe once all your other posts get away from even reducing to "black" people. Start with us "humans". We are all the same, right? Right?
DeleteThere's no "getting away" from the *fact* that blacks are more prone to violence and criminality. We don't need to "get away from" that narrative and statement of fact. Blacks need to "get away from" their violent subculture and propensity for criminality.

April 9, 2016 at 4:25 PM"
Yes that is exactly what I am saying because if he had repented he wouldn't have had what one two three violation of probation hearings and many traffic offenses including DWI. Let's make one thing clear-I don't need to repent but you sure do. Oh do you ever. Drop to your knees and repent and beg forgiveness for enabling criminals. Repent now or when your judgement day comes you will be burning in the fires of hell for making excuses for law breakers.
I think I'll be just fine. I have repented and have no criminal record. I work with ex criminals and help them turn their life around. Help them find jobs and housing. Thank you for judging me and the work I do. I take some of them to church on Sunday with me with MY OWN CAR AND GAS MONEY. I used to go into the prisons and talk to them about Jesus. That makes me sick to my stomach that people like you exist and believe people do not derserve a second chance.
DeleteThis is one of the most illiterate (and at the same time amusing) threads I have ever read on Joe's blog.
ReplyDeleteFirst, most commenters would probably benefit from some remedial English courses (I'm waiting to go to the next 'visual' for a deceased person)
Second, I'm hoping that most of the commenters here are not (as self-righteous as they purport) buying steamed crabs at Skipjack's Seafood tonight with their EBT Cards.
Third, Let's face it...Father, brother, cousin, uncle, homie, third cousin removed...this guy was a multiple loser. Where did he turn his life around folks??
Does it mean he has to die in a car that hits a tree? No, but he was the only one in the car...who made that choice? Must have been God, he saved some others from the fate.
I agree with a previous commenter, had he 'done the right thing' on the day he bought it at the tree, he might still be alive and supported by the tax paying citizens of this community with 'three hots and a cot'.
Oh poor 423... are you a victim of a crooked cop??? Are you being racially profiled in salisbury??? Are you having trouble not profiling all these "white folks embezzling millions"??? Ok- we feel horrible for you- you poor thing...
ReplyDeleteJennifer not so long ago a white female Carla Moore was charged and convicted of embezzlement (not millions but quite a bit of money) and sent to prison. This blog wrote extensively about her and her crime and the comments were much more harsh then they are about this. This blog published story after story about a Sby cop who is being sued for I believe brutality or something like that and the comments were harsh.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone to be jumping on here now and accusing people of saying what they are saying because they are racist or ignorant, disrespectful and small minded or whatever is simply not true and is really a lie on the people's part who are saying it. If you want people to take you seriously and to respect you then by all means do not come on here with the lies you are all telling and saying people are only saying what they are saying because he was black. The good honest people who regularly read Sby News do not like nor will they tolerate your lies. And remember the only reason the black communities are suffering like they are is because honesty is not valued one bit and honesty above all else is the basic pillar of a civil society and when that pillar doesn't exist chaos is the result.
All of you are crazy. White people get bashed on here everyday. Grow up.

I'll do what I want. I'll judge you and everyone else how I want. Why is my comment "privileged". Your comment makes me think you are assuming I am white. This is not the case here honey. And the fact that you assume someones color by a comment is extremely racist.
Exactly! Commenting against Kevin the black guy, so he would instantly make it racist, and make you out to be his enemy. Sad

ReplyDeleteWhat's this man's past have to do with a fatal accident ?? Seems like the blood lines run a little too close here in salisbury

STFU you Douche Bag!
Libtards can't stand it when people call them out and report the truth.
By the way this wasn't a man! A real man wouldn't commit any crimes like this Thug has!

ReplyDeleteLet me tell you a few things about this story.
We heard the gun shot that night, turned on the scanner and heard about the the delivery driver robbery.
April 9, 2016 at 10:20 AM
I live on the East Side of Salisbury on East Main Street which is very close to Church Street. Now it is to close for comfort. Almost daily I hear gun shots and small explosion type sounds. Yes I to have been told it's fire crackers. Well guess what Homey? I have been raised around guns and fire crackers all my life before moving to this ghetto and I know the difference.
Yes I to have been told it's firecrackers and they say it because "Crime is down in da 'Bury," but I am here to tell you that is isn't! I am stuck in this small ghetto city and I can tell you that I would leave if I could sell my house. I can't because of crime the property values have diminished to more that what I can afford to accept on the house. I would take a loss and I would have no money to put on a new house. Damn I am F***ed! I remember when my neighbor sold her house and made $60,000 off of it. What was I thinking. I wish I only knew what would happen in this ghetto. All under Jim Ireton and no Jake Day.
Salisbury is a prime example of all failed cities under Democrat leadership. Run while you can!
So this guy got a second ( or fifth whatever makes you feel good) chance and he got drunk and wrecked his car and died. He let his kids, family and team down once again. BIG SURPRISE
ReplyDeleteLuckily he didn't have anyone's child that he coached with him.
12:29 Fact. Driving drunk and hitting a tree at an estimated 90 mph while talking or texting on his phone. Sure, had turned his life around? I am black so give me a friggin break! As far as Mrs. Fisher is concerned, I believe her son was Winfred who had a drug problem and showed up at the State Police stoned and threatened officers.
ReplyDelete5:00. I hear you! I am sick and tired of seeing white trash buying crabs, steak and lobster on my tax dollars.
ReplyDeleteIt pisses me off, too. White or black, if you can "afford" luxury items on the taxpayers dime, you should not be getting welfare or EBT or food stamps, just for a start.

ReplyDeleteRidiculous????

So you get paid by Goodwill to run your mouth on a blog. Bet they will be please to find this out.

There is a retail and workforce development side. But because I educated you this all you can come up with. Carry on.
DeleteKevin- why do you continue saying to continue with the (spelling error) "privelaged comments"?
DeleteThat just proves you WANT to feel that the white man pushes you down.
Nothing like hijacking an article and missing the point.
ReplyDeleteHow does a person get a DUI and only pay a fine of $342.50 and no time in jail and keep their license? Let's step it up a notch. A felon breaking probation gets a DUI, pays pennies and walks away. He racked up enough points to have his license suspended, and why wasn't it?
Nice job Maciarello
Every single one of you ranting idiots failed to see the point of our failing judicial system.
Do you people realize this man left children behind? CHILDREN! This is someone's father you are speaking about. It's like people forget that there is mercy, grace, and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ. I know the family, please respect them as they grieve their loss.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Think of the chiiiiiilllldrennnnnn!!!
DeleteJoe your comment here is correct....people can not have a intelligent exchange or debate without all the vulgarity.... My question is was he father of 1 or 2 children was he married to the mother or is it more than 1 baby mamma? Was he drinking again? Was he texting? More answers to come in the days ahead. I know a lot of folks who claim to have turned their life around....E.C.I. is full of them....look at convicted teachers arrested for child abuse, doctors, priest....etc. the list goes on and on. A person can't say I've changed they demonstrate it OVER TIME..... many times years!
ReplyDeleteBoth of his sons have the same mother.
DeleteThey must have been twins, or he didn't learn the first time.
DeletePost them Joe. Who cares? I mean if everyone wants to get all big about it then let them. I know it's completely juvenile. I know you refuse to post racist comments, but except for apparently black people we are all pretty thicked skinned. We can handle it.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away . His punishment is now complete.
ReplyDeletePeople are sick and tired of crime. They are sick and tired of being victimized by the black community and all the blacks blame white people for all of their woes. If black people truly wanted to be treated equally, they would stop ignoring their neighborhoods and supporting thugs and criminals. It's a shame anyone has to die and his past had nothing to do with the accident, but people are sick and tired of excuses from the black community about crime. There are plenty of great black people in this area and it's not fair to lump them with the criminals but it;s not the responsibility of the victims to constantly help and pay for the criminals. You want to be treated equally and fairly then clean your neighborhoods up. Stop supporting absentee baby daddys and educate yourselves into equality.
ReplyDeleteI agree with alot of what you said. All blacks aren't bad. Most are good. Same with whites. We all have bad apples.
DeleteDoes anyone know where he worked?
ReplyDeletePrayers are with this young mans family & friends. God is the only one who can judge us.
ReplyDelete@6:14 nailed it and from all of this there is racial tension all over the country. This is real and a fact it has nothing to do with this blog or its editor. People on both sides are fed up and it's starting to raise its ugly head again.
ReplyDeleteYoung blacks committing most of the crimes? You are senseless idiot. It's amazing what a smartphone or a keyboard can do for people. If you truly care about human beings and not focus on color you might be a better person. How about getting yourself involved in the community and help people no matter the color. I myself has made mistakes in the past but I look at that as the foundation for the man I have become. So stop hiding behind the smartphone or keyboard and make a difference in our community.I take this personal because I too am a Pop Warner football coach.
ReplyDeleteMy rant... If you don't like/or want to read these blogs/comments; don't vist the page. For the record I am black, no I don't agree with most of these comments but everyone has the right to free speech. There are ppl who feel this way in every community towards black and whites. I think it's in extreme bad taste to demoralize the dead and judge them. We all have to do better as a community. All of these deaths are tragic but we also have to see it for what it is, it was an accident. He didn't kill himself on purpose, yes he should have been driving the speed limit and that may have made a difference, there's no way of knowing, none of us were present. The other death was a murder that you guys are speaking on, my feeling on that is, its part of street life. It's not fair or right but when you live that life you accept the dangerous possibilities that come with it. I feel bad for the families. My condolences!
ReplyDeleteI don't support these stories or this blog.
After reading this and looking a little closer this guy jeopardized a 20 yr with 10 years suspended and violated his probation with a hearing on the 8th his accident on the 4th. It seems as tough he paid the ultimate price trying to drown his sorrow for his mistakes. Why wouldn't you comply with the terms of probation and be free from any threat of jail time
ReplyDeleteThis is just the ignorant and impulsive news article I have ever read. The man just died in a tragic accident. He paid the consequences for actions. Everyone makes mistakes and they learn from them. Let Ty rest in peace and be remembered for all the good he did in life. Wicomico sheriffs department should be ashamed and feel right down disgraceful. Smh.
ReplyDeleteApparently they ddont learn from mistakes.
DeleteAs it reads on 4-8-16 he WAS going to jail for ten years
ReplyDeleteSalute to you Joe. This has started conversation. Based on all of the comments on this article it is needed.
ReplyDeleteTyran was always in advanced classes. When he was in high school he tutored some of his peers and was a mentor for kids. He was also in the National Honor Society in high school. He wasn't a bad child and he came from a very loving family. After graduating from high school, he served in the military. While in boot camp he was a squad leader. After returning home from the service, one night he made a very bad decision that changed his life, but he paid the consequences for that and served his time. Recently he was employed at PetSmart which he had been working there for over a year. He was helpful to many people that came in the store with their pets. Tyran was enrolled in online college courses, he took care of his two boys and he was a youth football coach. He mentored to the youth and used his past experiences to help inspire the youth to excel in school, obey their parents and be productive in life. To all that are calling him a thug which he wasn't, I say to you this, if you can look in the mirror and say that you've never went over the speed limit, text while driving or got behind the wheel after having a few with your friends then by all means please strap on a halo and some angel wings. We don't know the circumstances of his death, but we do know that he was a few seconds from home when he had his accident on that rainy night. Tyran was a loving person and he was loved by many, young, old, black & white. Knowone is perfect and a persons past should not validate their death. People have the freedom of speech, but if you don't know a person personally in my opinion I don't think it is right to slander their name. Words do hurt. Transfer those negative thoughts of bashing someone who you didn't know into prayers for his sons, family and friends. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteAmen! Thank you for that informative passage! Just BC a person has a past or is black with a "not so squeaky clean past" does not mean he was uneducated or not worth sympathy! People please stop the ignorant comments!
DeleteNicely said your words are convincing and I changed my mind about how I felt about him, however with so much violent crime , disregard for life, failure at moral obligations on the part of the males to support their own chlidren as far as poor uneducated blacks I must admit I assume the worst. I did not always. It makes me sad. Something is wrong with black culture they must accept responsibility for their part as must we all. So sad, all of us children.I pray to whatever is out there.

ReplyDeleteWhile I disagree with a lot of what Kevin has said it is not fair to knock on his place of employment. Every job is important and anyone who puts in a good honest days work is to be commended. Plus I love the Goodwill and my experience with all the employees there has been positive.
ReplyDeletePersonally I think Tyran was trying. He wasn't quite there as evidenced by his VOP and his traffic violations but it seems he was trying and for that he should be given credit.
I would like to point out also, someone mentioned the privilege word. Maybe it was Kevin. I too find it a bit odd that Kevin wouldn't be aware of his child's coach's not so violent past. I'm not saying it would be a reason to pull a child out of football but I do think parents do have an obligation to their young impressionable children to know who is coaching them, teaching them etc. This does involve looking them up on the various sites online to check criminal history. This leads me to think that maybe it's not so much privilege as to why white children fare better but maybe it's more proactive parenting.
What was even more upsetting is his mom telling us that she was on the phone with him as he wrecked. Please pray for his two young sons. He would do anything for them. We took them bowling last night and it was good to see smiles on there faces. All of his players cried last night at the visual. Unfortunate that the article states this.

ReplyDeletewhat Kienda is so poorly trying to articulate is the fact that the robbery happened in 2008 and since then the only thing he has been caught doing is jeopardizing other peoples lives by:
EXCEEDING MAXIMUM SPEED: 90 MPH IN A POSTED 65 MPH ZONE

You are the one who is clueless if you don't believe racism is alive and well in this area, or any other area.
Racism exists everywhere and is practiced by ALL races.
And I believe racism is TAUGHT, not something that anyone is born with. Children are not racist until they are shown what racism is and how to practice it.
And that's the real shame. If we didn't teach our children how to hate, judge, be racist, etc., we could pretty much end it and live in a much better world.
Your community should be thanking me that I don't let your nasty comments up but let me assure the rest of you, it's bad.
ReplyDeleteApril 9, 2016 at 5:31 PM
They usually are Joe. Racism knows no bounds. Blacks can be just as racist as any other race, and are. I have felt it from them several times in my lifetime. I try to treat everyone the same. I don't always succeed but I do make the effort usually.
I'm not perfect and have my faults just like anyone else, but I admit to them.
Some blacks shout racism at the very first chance they get, whether it's warranted or not, and them use the most vile and disrespectful words to accuse others of they themselves are doing.
It is what it is but they seem to fail to realize you can't end anything, much less racism if you continue to practice it.

Yes, and not just me but the courts view it as 'simply' a traffic violation as well. And yes again, you ARE silly.
No sweet pea, drunk driving is a crime. Thats why you get to go to jail for it.
ReplyDeleteDrunk driving is often referred to as driving under the influence of alcohol, or DUI, but can also be known as as driving while intoxicated, or DWI, or by similar terms. Regardless of the language used, it is a crime in every state, and one that often comes with significant penalties
My gosh you are stupid. Must be one of those online law degrees you be getting.
Driving under the influence or DUI is a criminal offense of driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level which exceeds the legal limit.
ReplyDeleteDefinition of Criminal Offense:
Tried in a criminal court, not a civil court.
Hmm I do not see anything saying it is "simply" a violation.
Typical of your culture to minimize and justify your abhorrent behavior and actions.
11:31 and why would anyone be allowing his "young sons" to be reading an adult blog?
ReplyDeleteYee haw time for a booze cruise ! according to 11:34 its simply a traffic violation and NOT a crime. The states must have it wrong. Just think of all those people who ended up in jail for drinking and driving. They should call 11:34 for their get out of jail free cards!
ReplyDeleteHmmm according to a REAL attorney drunk driving is a crime..
ReplyDeleteby Rich Stim, Attorney
There are two types of punishment resulting from being convicted of a "Driving under the Influence" (DUI) (also known as an OWI, DWI, or OVI in different states) charge. The first type of punishment is administrative and results in having your license suspended. The second type of punishment is under criminal law and results in fines, parole and prison/jail time sentencing.

However, not all jurisdictions consider DUI or DWI as a criminal offense such as in Wisconsin and New Jersey. In said states, DUI or DWI is considered only as traffic violation. This entails that the penalty imposable by law does not include imprisonment.
YOU might want to start getting a law degree. Be careful of those absolutes you keep thinking exist.
But we are in Maryland sunshine so only our laws matter. Let a drunk driver kill your child and then come tell me its ok and only a traffic violation

I agree and would like to add how they hold garbage like Freddie Gray to sainthood. More whites are killed by police or die while in police custody than blacks and we never ever act like they do. We recognize bad people for what they are and don't take up for our own thugs. This is partially why white youth tend to fare better. They know bad behavior will not be tolerated and whites will not stand for lying about a persons life or making excuses. Even around here it was amazing how so many stood and marched for Freddie Gray who was nothing more than a terrorist terrorizing the neighborhood by selling his poison on the streets. We recognize the bad in the race and don't make excuses for them as we did with Thomas Leggs the white child murderer.
Why do so many people care about his past? Why?? Probably most of the people did not know him or even heard his name until they saw this post. Most people on here are cheering at the fact that he is dead, that he deserved to die, and that this was karma so he "got what he deserved". The comments on here are absolutely disgusting.
ReplyDeleteForget substance for heaven sake and concentrate on grammar!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are here to correct grammer. There is always one that loves to point out grammatical errors.
Delete12:24 This occurred in the People Republic of Maryland, therefore it is/was a criminal offense. Unless you are very wealthy or have political connections at high levels, a person would need to provide very valuable info to law enforcement in order to have a DUI/DWI go away for a simple fine.
ReplyDeleteI've went through most of the comments , guess I'll chime in , he's dead , God made sure he won't commit another crime or hurt someone else. It was his time , end of discussion.
ReplyDeleteAs for the lady (Kienda) who said he had paid for his crime , he has now.
This Kevin guy is a Libtard. He is so desperate not to seem like a racist that he endangers his kids....Typical.
ReplyDelete9:39 no one said that It is obvious you are the one with the comprehension issues. You just keep making stuff up to hear your self.
ReplyDeleteWow nice comeback. And you are right...I like to hear myself. Glad you are listening and responding :)
DeleteI'm curious why the people supporting these two black guys lifestyles and being so sad for his death are not commenting on the post about the white guy that died in Walmart parking lot.
ReplyDeleteThe negative comments about the walmart death address the EXACT same thing.
Don't be a criminal or druggie or drug dealer and people will care a little more when you croak.
NO ONE said they are glad these two black guys are dead because they are black.
I don't even think anyone said they are "glad" they are gone.
However, supporting criminals regardless of their color or culture or because they had children is extremely counter-productive and childish.
As a child of a person just like these three guys...I promise the kids are better off without them. It will just take some time for them to heal and then realize this fact.
Yep it is allllll over Facebook too. Some of those comments..... Wow.
ReplyDeleteApparently he was a serious tree hugger. At least law abiding citizens are safe from one more criminal running (or driving) loose the streets.
ReplyDelete"Black women are the only thing holding your race together."
ReplyDeleteOnly true to a very small extent. Black females are making multiple babies with multiple men who then split the scene. The children are basically left to fend for themselves esp when they reach 18 and mother can't collect welfare benefits off of them anymore. It's as if black females can't control their urges and are making babies they have no business making in epidemic numbers. The black school truancy rate and chronic absenteeism is epidemic. Black children having babies is epidemic including with their own blood! Going to school, getting educated, staying out of the criminal and juvenile justice system, getting a job, showing a good work ethic, getting married, saving money and buying a house and then having children is all but lost in black communities. They have very few positive role models and the ones they do have like Dr Ben Carson and Col Allen West they demonize. They have zero sense of personal responsibility and blame all their problems on something other than the real cause which is the complete breakdown of the black family. Until they get honest and except this fact nothing is going to change in black communities.
It seems to me that a whole lot of people judge OTHERS for WHAT THEIR ANCESTORS past was like as well...isnt that wrong????....seems to me that's worse since most didnt even know the dead relatives
ReplyDelete@12:29 Well said!!
ReplyDeleteI love Joe Albero and Salisbury News because it allows individuals their First Amendment Right to free speech. You can express yourself anonymously or use your name. In the case of Tyran Drummond, most commentators on this blog have forgotten one important thing concerning this young man. Tyran was killed when he crashed his vehicle into a tree. It doesn't matter if he had a criminal background or not. It doesn't matter if he was married too or have a Baby Momma. It doesn't matter if he changed his life for the better or for the worst. The most important thing about this article is, a young man was killed on a road in his car in our community, PERIOD. There is hate baiting. True or false statements are being made. Quarrels, bad languages and accusations are being directed at each other. All of this discombobulated behavior is neither right nor wrong. We have the right to express ourselves doing this time We are all grieving in our own personal way whether it is good, bad or indifference. Who are we to Judge? Jesus said, “Judge not, that ye be not judge.” As human beings, the ONLY thing we need to do right now is, pray for Tyran entire families, friends and foes. That is it and leave the fate of Tyran whole entire life in the hands of The Almighty GOD'S. Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men.” Furthermore, this community needs to forgive one another. This is the only way this community will heal. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do.” Pray for Forgiveness. For those of you who think Mr. Albero is a racist, are wrong. Like my grand mom would say, it takes one to know one. Mr. Albero is the man who has provided us with a tool to express our rights to free speech in a safe and secure environment that no other media outlet in Salisbury will provide, without the consequences to our professional and personal lives. Be grateful and thankful for this tool. Thank you Mr. Albero for sbynewsblogspot.com

As for being racist, this is one of the biggest problems I have with this Blog. People tend to read comments and then later on are under the impression I WROTE IT/THEM. Then some Idiot will say, well, you published it so you must believe it. Jim Ireton and his friends used to say that a lot.
Nevertheless, I'm glad you enjoy this Site and understand we are simply an outlet that truly gives you the true feel for what the community is thinking.
If I were to take a guess I'd say most of the local media hasn't seen 50 comments on any given post over the past 12 months, let alone 200 on just one. Then they give themselves their own award calling themselves Delmarva's News leader. Now is that funny, or what.
As far as I'm concern, your the best news maker out here. You see and tell the truth. And, that's what manner. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". One day this community will understand, you have always been a friend to their enemies. Keep on doing what you do, my friend. Your friend from the South.
DeleteCorrection: One day this community will understand, you have always been a friend and NOT their enemy. Your friend from the South.

ReplyDeleteHe knew he was going back in the slammer. How can one be so smart and so stupid. The man could have been anything wanted. He chose to be a thug. Nice that he turned it around before he meets he maker or did he. Notice all these Christian prophets got to church three times a week then sit up drinking gin and juice at the casino. Nothing but demons in church clothes. Bishop this and Bishop that. Clean your race up and stop blaming whitey for your troubles.
I just can't believe all I have read smh

Don't they only hire ex cons and junkies?

Really?? I don't agree with a lot of what Kevin has said but to talk about his place of employment and categorize it as a place that only hires ex cons and junkies? That's pretty low blow.
O.K. Tell me who they hire then.
ReplyDeleteI guess that was just a generalization and they must keep the upstanding citizens they employ hidden somewhere. My bad.
And F.Y.I. rumor has it he won't be there much longer because of his little racist rant.
Sad thing is he was never convicted of robbery, but yet you post this article.
ReplyDeleteAW this makes me so sad!!!
ReplyDeleteNOT!! I am tickled to death and I hope the same happens to more of his thug friends and family.
