Breaking News: Body Found Deceased In Vehicle In The Parking Lot Of The Fruitland Walmart
A person has been found deceased in their vehicle at the Fruitland WalMart. The windows have been covered. Police and EMS are now on the scene. Published 11:01 AM.
First thing u think of is an overdose? So many negative people in this world is why it's gone to shit! Praying for the family and the negative folks out here!
Can you blame him for assuming it was an overdose?? That was my first thought as well. There's an epidemic going on in this area. Don't act blind to it. Now you be blessed as well.
It is sad that that is the first thing that came to mind... I can guarantee i'm not the first one who thought it though. Handfuls of overdoses happen every day. It's a fact. Salisbury has gotten out of hand with it. This doesn't mean I have negative mind or heart, it means it's the harsh reality of the environment we live in. Like i said, it's a sad time. But I am VERY blessed, Thank you. And i will continue to pray for all of those struggling.
Prayers for this family. Wow, whatever happened to compassion for people. Shame on these negative comments...so sad to joke, just because you think you don't know someone.
Unfortunately, it is true.... that Drug overdose, is manys' first thought. First I understand it was cold outside, but he was in a work van.. actually doing better then some on the streets. Wake up.. You have to understand how many locals we are losing, almost to at least one a day... it is a really sad issue on how this drug can take control, leaving a person with not a care to the world but the next high.. I feel so sorry for the family of the lost. Prayers for them!!
It could have been anything . .ranging from heart attack to drug overdose. Given the recent months events of drug overdoses in this area is it not inconceivable to have that as a first thought. People are just speculating and based upon news its either drug related or violence of some sort because that is all that is being reported.
I would love to know the number of overdoses that PRMC sees in a day. Its under reported such as unattended death, accidental death, medical assistance call. . . instead of what it is.
I am just saying. . people are not being disrespectful by saying it was on overdose they are just speculating on the recent events. So don't take it personal.
The real cause of death will come out and the rumors will be over to let that be the end of it. No need for harsh/hard feeling as everyone has their own opinion.
Praying for the family of the person and whomever found him/her in the vehicle. I am sure that is something they will never forget.
As someone who works in the hospital, the thought that it could be an overdose isn't too far fetched. The overdoses we see coming in aren't your typical "crack head" looking person. It's the average Joe, the girl next door,or your friend of 15 years. This EPIDEMIC needs to be addressed. It is taking way too many lives.
Very sad !And who are we to judge everyone has a past tense and a closet all doors haven't been opened!.We assume too much and take too much for granted This is a deceased personQuite sure he has a family Somewhere out thereMy thought now is his poor family Now The Grieving Begins for them Why Outsiders are talking trash It all needs to stop Prayers going out 2 family
To all of the people spewing on about compassion, etc.... Get over yourself. Overdoses are way more prevalent than you would think. We don't know who this person is, so why should they get respect? Pound sand.
Because they are a human being, because they are someones son, daughter, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, father, mother,grandparent... thats why, you moron!
I saw a lady there two days ago in a red escort wagon...anyway she was an elderly woman and her car seemed stuffed with her belongings. Not like she was moving, but just stuffed the way a packrats home would be. I noticed her standing by the car and then noticed the inside. I then looked back at her and she quickly looked away. I immediately knew she was living out of her car. It was heartbreaking to see someone my grandmother's age living that way. I packed up my bags and caught another glimpse of her, smiled and tried to say hello. She didn't respond. It was warm out, so I didn't think to bother her, and on the way home I wondered if she had been living out of a car through the winter. I am sorry to say that I did think about going back and talking to her, forcing her to acknowledge me and accept my help...but I did not return. I was too bothered with the thought of getting caught up in an awkward situation-me being a large hispanic man and her an elderly white woman alone in the parking lot. Its a ridiculous thought, yet a very real part of life for some of us here. I am ashamed and sick with guilt the possibility that this may be the person found.
I can believe the heartless people on here joking about sales and being early. I don't find this funny at all. Drugs are taking over this world, I find it sickning. you guys that are making jokes suppose it was one of your family members, you wound not want anyone to crack jokes. I feel for you heartless people. I have a family member deceased from drugs and another out there some where on them, it will come home to you someday. don't crack jokes do something about it and reach out and help someone on drugs
It doesn't work like that. Most people who reach out to an addict get burned. Sometimes more than once. Sadly it is an epidemic. But it's not a disease. It's a conscious choice they make every time they heat the spoon.
I would really like all these people that say its not a disease. Just wait till one of ur families member has to take some pain meds for a period of time. Thats what leading to this heroin problem. Just a bunch of screwed up morons thinking this is not a disease but a choice.
For the one who commented about the ppl making jokes. I did but not on here it was on my friends Facebook feed. But I admit to saying something along the lines must of been the rollbacks. I need you to understand that not everyone knows how to express things when the first hear. But for me it is all I hear anymore- bad sad crappy news. I have family and friends who have recently got their death notices/ illnesses. But obviously the jokes are not directed to the individual because we don't know who it was. For the individual it's sad for the fact they were alone. I empathize for them. For their family it's awful because what they must of felt to know that they died alone n there was nothing they could do.
No one really knows what happened to this man its a crying shame. But the truth will come out soon. What is this world coming to. To many people are died in these. Either its from drugs or they have been murder. This world is falling apart and we can't do anything about it. But sit and watch the sadness take place in front of our eyes. I feel bad for his family. But when he didn't come home why didn't they report him missing it could of saved his life. Its just funny someone is missing and you don't report it come on. There's more to this story you best believe it.
Your english is what is funny, "To many people are died in these" lol..you make no sense, why don't you stop assuming things and go back and retake English 101. Like someone has already said, he was reported missing and now he has been found.
Go help someone on drugs? How exactly? You have no idea. If you did, you wouldn't of lost a loved and have others our on the street somewhere. You know why you don't know how to help them? Because you can't. Of course thinking everyone should run out and help junkies is your opinion and here is mine.
I too have lost several family members and friend to drug and alcohol abuse and overdoeses. Including my mother. And you know how I feel about them all.
I didn't help them get on drugs so why should I spend my energy and love and sanity to help get them off. None of these people cared enough about me to be a person and not do drugs. I don't feel sorry for them.
The ones who are not actually dead are dead to me in my heart. The person they were before they CHOOSE to be a looser is long gone. So as far as I am concerned they can drop off the earth. One less zombie walking around.
I feel your anger, pain and frustration. I'm sorry you have these issues to deal with in life. I will pray for you that God will touch your heart so you are able to love and feel peace again. I'm really sorry for your situation.
Actually we don't know what it was but I prah for the family it was a local heating and air company van with all the older gentleman that work for this particular company I would put money on medical reasons! Like a heart attack or what not
I know who it was & the cause of death is a heroine overdose! He was a young man. Pray for all of us there aren't many people who haven't had their lives torn apart by this awful drug in one way or another.
Yeah ok. There are plenty of "educated" people with good parents running around with needles and pills and way too much alcohol. Most of them have parents that thought they were too good or too educated.
I must admit that drug overdose was the first thing that came to mind....10 years ago my son died in his car in the Walmart parking lot of heroine overdose...brings back too many memories...I pray for the family who has lost their loved one. God bless you in the days and years to come. People, please stop the stupid comments...this is not funny.
To All you inconsiderate morons,Who are obviously Sinless and moral as artic snow. Take a deep breath and hope God doesn't strike you dead. You cheer as your fellow man suffers? Regardless about what this fine young man died from. HE still deserves respect. Its a tragedy in the worst way, a fear coming true.
He was in his work van he was a friend of mine from high school. He has left a little boy. Very tragic. He was a good guy from when I knew him. Obviously struggling with addiction.
I don't think it is a stretch to assume it was an overdose seeing as it has been happening very often in the Salisbury area over the past few years. Also, am I wrong in thinking they found a body in a car in that WalMart parking lot not too long ago as well?
I wish people would learn about WHO brings in the heroin (intelligence agencies) and learn about how the money is laundered (through big international banks).
It is our own government supplying the drugs. Then they hire local police who they sic on the public for taking the drugs. Furthermore the Big Pharma companies profit off of their products which make people addicted. People end up hooked on heroin as a substitute for a pharmaceutical drug's high. It is a huge mess and is entangled with various peoples' self interests and basic human physiology (addiction) at play.
PRMC is greatly under reporting overdoses in 2015. Just ask anyone who works in the ER. What purpose does it serve for them to not share this info with the public? They are doing us a great disservice by trying to hide the truth. If PRMC had the community's best interest at heart, they'd be leading the charge to fight overdoses.
1:54 pm: That lady lives that way because she chooses to. She will not care for any place she lives in until it becomes so filthy and junky, neighbors complain and she gets thrown out. She's a very angry (divorced) person and needs serious counseling but refuses to do anything to help herself nor will she heed advice from those who have tried to help her.
My God! How does a news item about a body found in a car in a retail parking lot turn into a bunch of comments about drug abuse? Apparently many of you just want to write about YOUR issue, and not the news item.
If we choose to not talk about the heroin epidemic we are not helping. I am truly sorry for this individual and his family, but we can not sweep this under the rug any longer. There was another unattended death this morning on Moonglow Road, an overdose. A man who (apparently) is leaving small children behind. We, as a community, should be doing much more to curb the flow of heroin into our area. See something? SAY SOMETHING !!! The dealers need to know that people are watching (and recording sometimes)what they do. Unfortunately Salisbury has become a mecca for criminals and the leaders of this city have FAILED horribly in keeping us safe.
Police in salisbury need to monitor and stop the taxi cabs. They are the transfer source for many of these drug transactions.Everyone i see has equipment violations. Lights out, body damage, no seat belts and so on. With as many of these i see in dabury transporting trash there has to be a free govt subsidy card to travel in these also.
Get the dealers! I think two of them have been put out of business this week; one through his own demise and the other from multiple gunshots. Destroying people's lives should not be without consequences!
Overdose?... Can probably put money on it. Sad times.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that thats the first thing you turn too. Anything could of happen.. But you turn to overdose. May you be blessed tho
DeleteHit by falling prices?
DeleteWhy so negative? Could be your family member!
DeleteFirst thing u think of is an overdose? So many negative people in this world is why it's gone to shit! Praying for the family and the negative folks out here!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right! Many prayers for this individual's family
DeleteIt was cold lastnight and homeless people live in the area as well
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the spring sale
ReplyDeleteIt was someone in a wicomico heating and air work van, I'm sure they have a family hurting now... Rip👼
ReplyDeleteCan you blame him for assuming it was an overdose?? That was my first thought as well. There's an epidemic going on in this area. Don't act blind to it. Now you be blessed as well.
ReplyDeleteSome people have no remorse and it's sad. When someone in your family dies (lord forbid), let's see how you feel if anyone post negative comments.

ReplyDeleteI would say that's a pretty good guess considering their have been over 100 overdoses at PRMC just this year and 100 for all of last year
ReplyDeletePrayers for this family. Wow, whatever happened to compassion for people. Shame on these negative comments...so sad to joke, just because you think you don't know someone.

OD's don't always end in death and can be from many things other than one specific drug. This is a college town after all.
Delete3:18, obviously you don't work at PRMC emergency department. It's very true, I'm sad to say.
