Wicomico County Executive Bob Culver made the call to bring in the Solid Waste Crew at 9:30 this morning to start laying down salt on the roads throughout the County. Snow Plow pickup trucks were also brought in to start clearing the roads.
With temperatures plummeting overnight along with high winds, road conditions are expected to be pretty bad, ice wise. Being proactive with the salt will minimize such bad conditions.
Shouldn't that be the Roads Crew?
ReplyDeletepublic works?
Deletesolid waste commonly known as trash or garbage that is discarded by the public.
Thanks for information and thanks to Culver for calling the crews in early. Good call.

ReplyDeleteNice to see someone in government is on top of things. A refreshing change from the business as usual.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this important message , the wind chill is to be concerned with. The snow is not a real concern , black ice is a problem.
