Nancy B. Brown, 75, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016
Tom Brown's Rookie League
We are sad to announce that Nancy B. Brown, 75, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at her residence in Salisbury. Born in Portsmouth, VA, November 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James and Julia Burroughs.
Nancy was a former President of the Potomac Chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Clubs Inc, and a founding member of Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, Maryland. For the last 41 years she was the CEO/CFO/CAO of Tom Brown's Rookie League. She enjoyed crabbing, boating, water skiing, playing tennis, living on the Eastern Shore and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Brown; daughters, Jessie (Kate) Brown and Michele (Stan) Canady; sons, Jimmy (Megan) Brown and Troy (Lauralee) Purnell; sisters, Laura Wilson, Marion Martin; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by James Augustus Burroughs, Thomas Franklin Burroughs, and Barbara Burroughs Bennett.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Howard Travers.
Donations may be made in her memory to Tom Brown's Rookie League ( P.O. Box 522 Salisbury, MD 21803). Flowers are also welcome.
