  1. Even when you don't deserve one, you still feel entitled to get a trophy!

  4. They started with that "you're all special" baloney a couple of decades ago. It's made us all less special.

  5. Merit doesn't mean ANYTHING anymore.
We have a society of people who go into depression and angst if someone SAYS something that hurts their feelings. We have conditioned people into believing that, no matter what, they deserve an award.
GIVE me something because I'm black, in the country illegally, a felon, a high school drop out, a single woman with 5 kids at 22 years old, a deviant, homosexual, whatever.
Awards go to WINNERS. People who excel. People who sacrifice to achieve.
    Keep cheering.

  6. And who out there really gives a crap? It is more important to be concerned about terrorism and the economy.

  7. Imclain, it's a warm fuzzy society. Everyone has to be celebrated regardless of whether there's something to celebrate or not. We wouldn't want anyone to be offended or feel left out. Would we?

  8. We don't watch oprah or any other of that type show...such as kathy & regis (now someone else) soaps, the view is disgusting, etc.

  9. if everyone is a winner then why do they have a superbowl or world series etc? there will always be a winner and there will always be a loser.

  11. The liberals have created this mess. It started years ago with everyone getting a trophy that participated. Now they have all grown up and still expect to get a reward.
