1:13, REALLY? There are plenty of black buyers. Come on now. Next time, get the Independent, (then donate it to me for my bonfire) and look at ALL of the real estate agents in their multiple ads. There are no black agents.
How many white professional basketball players do we have? Come on folks; this is crazy. How about in the tech field...there are many more Asians in that field.
There are so many variables regarding this issue; talent, gifts, leanings, need, region and more and more.
If a black man or woman wanted to take the courses and pass the test; there is NOTHING holding them back. Get over yourself because this is NOT an issue. period
Nope they go to bigger markets. Just like all professional fields they get off the shore as fast as they can. Ever been to Willards ??? I don't know a Black who wants to go there after dark more or less try to sell a house there lol
Real estate agents and car salesman will soon be something of the past. Does not matter if they are black or white. You can almost research anything you need to know over the web then get your best deal. Ending...... keep your debt load low and be prepared between now and june for the curtains to come down hard.Keep about 4k cash on hand also
Actually the most recent freebie paper (can't recall which one) had a real estate insert. There were a few agents among photos of several agencies who clearly are black. So, yes there are black agents locally.
My mom sold RE for several decades back home. It's a tough game at times, especially with the lingering housing crash. The agent needs to be financially viable for an unspecified time while getting started because listings, sales and commissions are uncertain.
Many of the agents have a spouse or partner with a regular job and benefits which helps cushion the start-up, and the ups/downs.
You could probably make a similar observation about agents with Hispanic roots.
They had several at CB. They left to go elsewhere, which is not uncommon.
ReplyDeleteNot that I know of. 90% or more of black folks here rent.
ReplyDeleteYes, I went to high school with a few black realtors. I don't know if they're still in the area, though.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Spoke Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith can boycott our all white real estate!
ReplyDeleteDo we need more black real estate agents for some reason?
ReplyDeleteThey did, but I don't know if there still around or in business...
ReplyDeleteI think that it's a relevant question that provokes thought about the socioeconomic picture of the area.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the black agents don't pay for advertising. Enough business by word of mouth. Leon burks was one
ReplyDeleteWhy does the race of your agent even matter? Use whoever is best no matter what race you are or they are
ReplyDeleteAll those pictures don't matter. Most come from people's (old) high school yearbook.
ReplyDeleteBlack women are the sexiest women on the Planet. they could sell ice cubes to eskimos ...
ReplyDeleteYeah, 2:57, they were all white then.
ReplyDeleteHow many Black lawyers in Town, also?
ReplyDeleteSmart black folks get away from salisbury as soon as they can.

ReplyDeleteLeon Burks...fine, good man.

The local realtors do not want to let any minorities in the sandbox to play with them.
