  16. Get a load of it folks. This is how it is in Israel, just about every day for years and it doesn't just affect the schools. This may not be "ISIS" or islamic terrorists per se, but may be terrorist inspired. They've been glorified by the US president to an extent. They've been coddled, he's made deals with them. This inspires not only them, but those who seek to be just like them, or cause disruption. Obama's only accomplishment has been to embolden those who wish to do harm and/or disrupt this country.

  18. No it's not kid/kids looking to get out of school Unknown. They would have been caught already like the kid yesterday. This was well thought out and well planned. This is someone or a group more sophisticated. It even seems like it's to the point of sophistication like we've never seen before.

  19. strange only Parkside in Wicomico

  20. Well Parkside is a nice central point....Glenn Avenue Elementary and Bennett High are both right there....they could potentially get everyone within that area with enough explosion from that one location or no? Just a thought. I certainly don't know anything more about explosives than what I see on tv so I am making a lot of assumptions. Anyone have knowledge if this could be true? VERY SCARY!

  21. I just hope this isn't a student trying to get out of class I've seen it before 20 years ago when I was in school. I. Glad the administration is taking this serious because one time it may be real. God I hope not!

  23. Was there a bomb found at Parkside?

  24. OK, this could be one kid or more in school. Despite what a lot of you think of young people some of them are super intelligent but immature.

And you know what else it could be somebody on here.

  27. Why does the person who receives the call pass it along? He /she should act serious when taking the call and then simply ignore it.Problem solved.

  28. Gunston Day School a private school in Centreville also received a threat this afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Honestly if they wanted to blow up the school they wouldn't call in the threat, they would just blow it up. Has to be a distraction from something to come though I would have to believe. Scary world we live in.

  30. It was Dr. Freddy. He wanted to correct his no evacuation error from earlier in the week.

  31. Why would they say students will be dismissed as usual when it was already dismissal time????

  35. Wow. They did it right this time. Glad the first one wasn't real.... Here is the thing.... If Isis is behind this.... They wouldn't be tipping off authorities. I'm willing to bet its uncle Sam putting the fear into his own people. That way he really militarize our police state.

  36. No 3:52 I am not an investigator. It's called common sense combined with my intelligence and the fact that I am extremely well read. This goes beyond some kid looking to get out of school. If it turns out a kid is responsible they certainly were NOT doing it to get out of school. A kid who does this is a sociopath exhibiting extreme anti social behavior. This has affected not only the Eastern Shore but areas on the Western Shore of MD, parts of DE, Chester Co, PA and Prince William VA. At least 2 hospitals in DE had the same threat this week-Kent General in Dover and Beebe in Lewes.
They are doing it through robocalls using a fake caller ID number same as telemarketers do and it is untraceable. This is already illegal but the FTC hasn't taken it serious and hasn't cracked down on the companies who allow this. They are paying the robo call service somehow as the companies do charge. Whoever is doing this has figured out how to pay without that being traced easily. They have covered their tracks well. This is not some kid.

They aren't using a phone. They are going through a robo call service and those are prerecorded w/computer generated voices.

  38. I just went and looked up a random robocall company called Robodial. They had a price calculator and I put in I wanted to have 30#'s on the phone list and it came to $15.00 so it's not expensive. You also let them know when you want the calls to go out. It doesn't give a time frame, but I'm wondering if whoever is doing this didn't set this up awhile ago. Another thing is I guess the robo call companies don't listen to the messages people want sent otherwise they could have warned LE.

  40. I was almost expecting this today after what happened all week. I was in West OC almost to Rt589 and saw LE flying east bound. Several on 589 with lights going toward 50 so I knew something was up. Then I saw Showell ES and all the activity going on and it made me sick to see those children standing outside. I wish some churches would put together a prayer service because we need something.

  41. While I don't think it's ISIS 4:18 I once heard this years ago about terrorists well before Sept 11th even-The only thing predictable about a terrorist organization, is their unpredictability.
I do think it could be some nut that sympathizes with ISIS though and doesn't have the capability to do much more than call in threats. The problem is we don't know so I think it's best to assume the worst could happen and be extra diligent. If you suspect anyone call LE. Don't be afraid that you may have the wrong person.

  42. This is a precursor to something. Muslims exist all around us. A mosque is in the planning stages in Princess Anne. This has to be related, who else would disrupt a wide area and torment us by threatening our children.

Welcome to Obamaland where our leaders are surrounded by facilitators promoting Islam.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The other possibility exists that it could be more than one person involved and that they aren't even from anywhere near this area.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If there was a threat at Wi Hi, no one at the BOE knew about it, including me and I can assure you, I would have.

    ReplyDelete
  45. ok folks you got what you wanted. they evacuated the building and brought in a bomb dog for a call that a bomb was in a book bag. Let think about this the students were only outside about an hour. Can you search a building as large as Parkside in that amount of time and do it properlly enough to say the school is safe to reenter. I think not. Did they search every book bag. No. Could you imagine your out cry if they did. Oh my child's rights. Folks what do you want. There have been bomb threats to schools for decades when has there ever been a bomb. The citizens of this county are so flicked.

I stopped reading there. You are allowed your OPINION, just as everybody is, but yours is dangerous. One cannot ASSume things when people's lives are at stake. Have a nice day.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Unknown, Maybe you should read the whole comment. As far as assuming, when people's lives are at stake you most certainly do assume. You assume that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is possible at this point in time. You don't wait around until you have proof.
The neighbor 'assumed' something with up with their Middle Eastern next door neighbors in San Bernardino CA and the neighbor didn't act. The lack of the neighbor to not act on their assumptions cost people their lives. Assume is synonymous with you believe something or you figure something-BTW.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 7:04 I think you wrong and people do need to assume things in a situation like this. Assuming doesn't mean you believe something to be absolute. It means you think something could be this or that way but you have no proof. To presume on the other hand also means that you think something may true but it's based on probability. The probability that this is just a kid doing this to get out of school doesn't seem likely, so it seems save to assume it's someone with more experience in flying under the radar of LE.

No, I don't need to. I already know where this is going, and I will not join you. Like I said everyone has their opinion. I will just leave it at that. ( and no need to wait 30 minutes and answer yourself again lol)

  50. I heard wboc say they reached out to the fbi. The fact that they are not investigating when this is going on not just in our area but the whole region makes me wonder if this is a test from government

I do know this though...listening to the scanner...we went from just another day to central and wcso and spd being very overwhelmed. I would like to see emergency services develop some plan for these incindents. I think we need trained volunteers that can be deputized in an emergency. I would like to aplaude all agencies involved yesterday..but to be truly prepared for a crisis we have a way to go.

  51. In Wicomico County, a bomb threat must be reported to the Office of Safe Schools, who then instructs the administrator of said school as to what action is to be taken. Stop blaming the administrators - they must follow that direction (including whether or not to notify staff/parents) or risk losing their jobs. I don't believe there are very many (if any, especially in these difficult financial times) who would risk their jobs by defying the BOE. Don't misunderstand, I believe the schools should evacuate immediately if they receive a bomb threat - no need to take chances with the children. However, I just feel that those that want to place blame need to know where the blame should be placed.

I am very impressed with the way Worcester County has handled these situations; not so much for Wicomico County.

Why is the media, etc. not publicizing the penalties for bomb threat calls? IF they are being done by young people, they need to know the consequences of their actions once they are identified.

Students and staff are well aware of and regularly practice what to do in crisis situations. Well-meaning parents create more chaos and fear, but it is understandable all the same. We love our children and want them to be safe.

As disruptive as it may be, I believe evacuation is the only answer. Parents should address the BOE and appropriate law enforcement departments to demand that evacuation be mandatory. It is NOT, at this time; it is totally up to the Office of Safe Schools (I don't know that office's protocol, i.e. if they are required to contact law enforcement before choosing an action). Every school has a crisis plan, but the bomb threat plan is vague. These plans are NOT shared with parents for obvious reasons - I know parents want to know, but it's just not a good idea to run the risk of having the information get into the wrong hands. Parents just need to accept that there is a plan (albeit not a good one for bomb threats) and the students and staff know what to do. No plan is perfect because every situation can be different, but honestly the plans are good. The bomb threat plan clearly needs some work. Demand it.
