Bus Driver Transporting School Children Arrested For DUI In Talbot Co.
(TRAPPE, MD) — A commercial bus driver transporting school children back from a field trip was arrested by Maryland State Police tonight in Talbot County and charged with driving under the influence.
The driver is identified as Joseph R. Johnson, 45, of Dover, Delaware. He is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Additional charges may be placed as the investigation continues.
At about 5:30 p.m. today, the Maryland State Police Easton Barrack received a 911 call from a citizen who was following a commercial bus eastbound on Rt. 50 and said the bus was weaving all over the road. As troopers were en route to intercept the bus, another call was received from a parent chaperone on the bus. The parent said due to the bus driver’s erratic driving, the adults on the bus had insisted he pull to the shoulder and wait for the troopers to arrive. The charter bus, owned by Dawson Tour Bus Services, Inc., of Camden, Delaware, stopped on eastbound Rt. 50 west of Porpoise Creek Road, in Trappe.
Upon arrival, the trooper conducted an investigation and based on observations and evidence, took Johnson into custody. He was taken to the Easton Barrack for additional testing and was ultimately charged with DUI. The Maryland State Police does not release results of blood alcohol testing prior to trial.
The driver had been transporting 30 children and ten adults back to Bennett Middle School in Wicomico County. The students were returning from a field trip to Calvert Cliffs.
A sober driver from the commercial bus company was summoned to the scene. While the children were waiting, a trooper assigned to the Aviation Command treated them all to pizza he purchased and delivered to the scene along the shoulder of Rt. 50.
All of the children and adults have been returned to the school safely.

Pemberton Manor Hosts Annual Youth-focused Community Celebration
Local Officials and Businesses Contribute to Successful Event
SALISBURY, Md., – The residents and management of Pemberton Manor Apartments recently celebrated the fall season during a youth-focused community get-together. As always, this successful annual event hinged on the involvement of Salisbury’s local government and regional businesses, according to Moe Krohn, regional asset manager with Tryko Partners, the property’s owner.
Children in attendance enjoyed organized recreation and activities, including an obstacle course, sack races and a bounce house. Food and snacks like pizza, Italian ice, cupcakes, cotton candy and hot air-popped corn were provided. And all youth in attendance went home with a bag of school supplies. Contributing organizations included Comcast, Eastern Shore Pools, Hall’s Flooring, Opher Entertainment and Parsons Landscaping.
“Everyone involved gave back in a major way to the children of Pemberton Manor,” Krohn said. “Our tenants came together and volunteered to pre-package the school supplies and help supervise the games. And Deborah Strozier, our property manager, did a great job pulling everything together for another successful day here at Pemberton.”
Special guests included Salisbury Mayor James Ireton, and members of the Salisbury Police Department and its Safe Streets program. “Through the work of Pemberton's management company, the city and the city police, Pemberton Manor has been transformed,” Mayor Ireton said. “I am proud to visit there and see the progress and appreciate all of the efforts by those who know that safe, affordable housing is possible and necessary in the lives of our citizens.”
Following the event, Krohn and Strozier delivered goodie bags with snack items to Pemberton Manor’s senior-citizen residents, including Viola Drew. “I have been a resident here since 2004, and to see the activities on this property for the children really makes me smile,” she said. “I look forward to this event each year to see the joy on the children’s faces.”
Tryko Partners, a private equity real estate group based in Brick, N.J., purchased Pemberton Manor in 2011 and started this annual tradition in 2012 – shortly after completing a $1 million property renovation there. Located on 60 acres at 1020 Fairground Drive, Pemberton Manor features 19 brick-clad, garden-style buildings. Its 209 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences include both market-rate and HUD affordable housing units.
The fall celebration is in keeping with the company’s commitment to engender a sense of community at its properties. As a truly hands-on operator, the firm assists residents in any capacity possible, and the company has had great success in working with neighborhood leaders and community organizations that help residents who need it.
To that end, Tryko Partners founded the Pemberton Manor Youth Coalition. The program provides bagged lunches to children in need during the school year, and breakfast and lunch during summer vacation. After-school homework help is available in the management office as well, and the community room includes a collection of books donated by the Mayor’s Office.

10 Year-Old’s Letter To Navy: Dear Troops … Thanks For Killing Those ISIS F***s
A 10 year-old just penned, rather, crayoned a letter to the Navy, thanking troops for their service and wishing them well in their efforts to kill “those isis f***s.”
“Thank you for your service,” the ten-year-old wrote. “Me and my family are so thankful for you troops protecting us. Thank you for trying your hardest to protect our country. Good luck on killing those isis f***s.”
Misty Allen-Brummett reportedly received the letter that was sent to her husband, a navy sailor, as a part of a care package from school-aged children in the United States. As Brummett put it, “I think the teacher forgot to re-read what the children wrote before putting them in the box … I am sure this gave them a great laugh!”

Jury Awards $397K To Woman After Unwanted Pregnancy
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — A Prince George’s County jury has awarded $397,000 to a couple who had a fourth child less than a year after the wife underwent surgery to prevent her from becoming pregnant again.
The Daily Record of Baltimore reports the jury ruled in favor of Chivonne and William Posey on Nov. 5.
Court records say Dr. Paul D. Rogers advised Chivonne Posey to undergo sterilization surgery after the couple told him they didn’t want more children. Rogers performed the surgery in January 2011, but several months later, Posey became pregnant. She had a son later that year.

Made In The USA
- "COSTCO" sells "GOODYEAR"Wiper Blades for almost half the price that you will pay on the outside and they are "Made in the U.S.A.
- Unfortunately our politicians and top CEO's ( "GENERAL ELECTRIC", et cetera ) have pushed for trade to China and Mexico for years so Americans are now out of work.
- DID YOU KNOW:
- That there is no "Electric Coffee Maker" "Made in the USA"?
- And that the only "Kitchen Appliances" "Made in the USA" is "Viking"?
- I DIDN'T KNOW "Hallmark Cards" were "Made in China"! That is also why I don't buy cards at "Hallmark" anymore. They are "Made in China" and are more expensive!
- I buy them at "Dollar Tree" - 50 cents each and "Made in USA".
- I have been looking at the "Blenders" available on the Internet. "Kitchen Aid" is "Made in USA". Top of my list already!
- Yesterday, I was in "Wal Mart" looking for "a waste-basket". I found some "Made in China" for $6.99. I didn't want to pay that much so I asked the sales lady if they had any others.
- She took me to another department and they had some at $2.50 "Made in USA". They are just as good.
- Same as a "kitchen rug" I needed. I had to look, but I found some "Made in USA" !!! What a concept! And they were $3.00 cheaper.
- WE ARE BEING BRAINWASHED TO BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING THAT COMES FROM CHINA AND MEXICO IS CHEAPER. NOT SO!!!!
- I was in "Lowe's" the other day and just out of curiosity, I looked at the hose attachments. They were all "Made in China".
- The next day I was in "Ace Hardware" and just for the heck of it I checked the "hose attachments" there. They were "Made in USA.
- START LOOKING, PEOPLE. IN OUR CURRENT ECONOMIC SITUATION, EVERY LITTLE THING WE BUY OR DO... AFFECTS SOMEONE ELSE -- MOST OFTEN, AFFECTING THEIR JOB.
- My grandson likes "Hershey's"candy. I noticed, though, that it is now marked "Made in Mexico."
- My favorite toothpaste "Colgate" is also "Made in Mexico" now...
- SO, I HAVE SWITCHED TO "Crest" BECAUSE IT IS "MADE IN THE USA".
- You have to read the labels on everything.
- This past weekend I was at"Kroger" . . . I needed "60W Light Bulbs" and "Bounce"dryer sheets.
- I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the "GE" brand I normally buy -- was an off-brand labeled, "Everyday Value."
- I picked up both types of bulbs and compared them: They were the same except for the price.
- The "GE" Bulbs cost more than the "Everyday Value" brand, but the thing that surprised me the most was:
- "GE" was "Made in Mexico" ...
- The "Everyday Value" brand was "Made in USA" at a company in Cleveland, Ohio.
- It's way past time to start finding and buying products you use "Every Day" that are made right here.
- So, on to the next aisle: "Bounce Dryer Sheets"..... Yep, you guessed it! "Bounce" cost more money and is "Made in Canada."
- The "Everyday Value" brand cost less, and was "Made in the USA!" I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the "Bounce" I have been using for years, at almost half the price.
MY CHALLENGE TO YOU IS to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is "Made in the USA."
The job you save may be your own or your neighbor's! If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your Address Book so we can ALL start buying American, one light bulb at a time!
- FINALLY:
- Stop buying from overseas companies - you're sending the jobs there.
- We should have awakened a decade ago.

America's 'enemies within': How nearly SEVENTY have been arrested in America over ISIS plots in last 18 months
US authorities have charged at least 66 men and women with ISIS-related terror plots on American soil – including a handful of refugees, Daily Mail Online can reveal.
The terror group has set its sights on Washington, D.C. as it vows to further infiltrate the West and ramp up its blood-soaked offensive.
President Obama insists that 'slamming the door' on Syrian refugees fleeing ISIS would be a betrayal of American values.
But 34 governors are refusing to take in any more, in case jihadi fighters slip into their states and repeat the carnage of Paris.
Analysis by Daily Mail Online reveals that a handful of foiled plots have already involved immigrants accused of harboring sympathy for ISIS.
The threat also comes from within, with American teenagers and Islamic converts among those seduced by the group’s torrent of chilling online propaganda.
They include a U.S. Air Force veteran accused of waging war on the country he once served and a National Guard soldier who allegedly plotted to gun down his own colleagues.
Others are seemingly ordinary American citizens, including a young nurse, a pizza parlor boss and schoolgirls tricked into becoming shrouded ISIS brides.

It turns out Rand Paul was right about guns being smuggled out of Benghazi to Syria
In January 2013, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) asked then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a Senate hearing whether the U.S. was involved in the shipping of weapons from Benghazi to Syrian rebels, which Clinton said she had no knowledge of.
The U.S. government categorically denied it was shipping weapons to the Syrian rebels, many of whom have ties to al-Qaeda and other Islamist groups.
Liberal websites attacked Paul for asking Sec. Clinton about this. Think Progress accused Paul of “pushing a conspiracy theory.” Rachel Maddow’s blog labeling the senator, “I don’t have any proof Paul.”
The conservative watchdog organization Judicial Watch has obtained documents that might shed some light on why Sen. Paul asked these questions. Fox News reported Monday that the Defense Intelligence Agency knew that weapons were being shipped from Libya to Syria before the Benghazi attacks.
A third DIA memo, dated Oct. 5, 2012, leaves no doubt that U.S. intelligence agencies knew that weapons were moving from Libya to Syria before the attack that killed four Americans.
Former CIA Director Mike Morell recently dodged questions about these weapons in an interview with Bret Baier.
Baier asked him: Were CIA officers tracking the movement of weapons from Libya to Syria?
“Can’t talk about it,” Morell said.

Tax credit to lure public safety workers to Baltimore
BALTIMORE —The city is trying to lure police and firefighters who live in surrounding counties back to Baltimore to live where they work.
The bait is an annual tax credit that's no small change.
Police and firefighters get paid by city taxpayers, but most choose not to be their neighbors. The tax credit is intended to change that, which one state legislator calls part of police reform.
City police and firefighters can't be forced to live where they work, according to City Hall. But the mayor thinks they can be persuaded. Thus, the tax credit proposal she announced Tuesday in a city firehouse with the fire and police chiefs at her side.
The credit is $2,500 off the property tax each year for any police officer, firefighter or sheriff's deputy who is or becomes a city homeowner.

The SourceAmerica Tapes
Today, 16 November 2015 8:30 am EST, WikiLeaks publishes the 30 hours of secret tapes and transcripts at the heart of the AbilityOne/SourceAmerica scandal.
Thirteen Presidential Appointees (ten Obama, three Bush) are embroiled in a multi-billion dollar corruption scandal being probed by the US Department of Justice and four Inspector Generals. The appointees oversee the federal government's $3billion a year "AbilityOne" program which is meant to pay for the employment of more than 50,000 disabled people--the largest such program in the United States. Most of that money, $2.3 billion a year, is funneled through the non-profit SourceAmerica to more than 1000 other designated partner organizations. This subsidised disabled labour is then placed (for a fee) with government and industry. Most of the labour is pushed to the military sector, including the DoD, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin & Boeing--who are also "patrons" of SourceAmerica. It is alleged that nearly half of the $2.3billion a year does not go to the severely disabled, but is rorted by pushing the money to corruptly favoured placement organisations that recruit the able bodied or the mildly disabled instead of the mandated 75% severely disabled. The result is billions in tax payer funded labour subsidies and increased profits for the placement organizations.
The 26 tapes are recorded conversations between Jean Robinson (Lead Counsel of SourceAmerica) and Ruben Lopez (CEO of Bona Fide Conglomerate Inc., one of the placement organizations) that discuss the alleged corruption.

Husband of 9/11 hero sends award back over Caitlyn Jenner
The husband of a cop killed on 9/11 returned his wife’s posthumous Woman of the Year award to Glamour after the magazine gave the same honor last week to Caitlyn Jenner.
James Smith told The Post he yanked the award off the shelf in his Long Island home dedicated to his wife, Moira, and FedExed it back to the magazine.
Moira, who died at the age of 38 after rushing into the south tower, was honored by the magazine a month after her death.
But after Jenner, 66, was anointed last week, Smith told the magazine’s editor, Cindi Leive, to take the award and shove it.

But after Jenner, 66, was anointed last week, Smith told the magazine’s editor, Cindi Leive, to take the award and shove it.

Students, staff member involved in knife incident at Baltimore City school
A student brought a knife to a Baltimore city elementary/middle school Monday and used it on another student and a staff member during a confrontation, a school official said.
Karen Parks, a spokeswoman for the district, said Tuesday that the incident, which she wouldn't describe as a "stabbing," took place at Beechfield Elementary/Middle School.
The student who was cut was taken to the hospital "as a precaution," and the staff member refused medical care, Parks said. She added that the staff's members injuries were "so superficial he or she refused to go to the hospital."
Parks said the staff member was not a teacher. The school system did not provide further details.

A New Low? Hillary Clinton Claims 9/11 Is The Reason She's Owned By Wall Street
That Hillary Clinton is owned by Wall Street is such an indisputable fact at this point, there’s no point in her even trying to squirm her way out of it. As such, it appears she took on a different tact at last night’s Democratic debate, straight out of the George W. Bush playbook. When asked about her Wall Street donors (her top career contributors are essentially all TBTF banks), she shamelessly replied:
CLINTON: So I represented New York, and I represented New York on 9/11 when we were attacked. Where were we attacked? We were attacked in downtown Manhattan where Wall Street is. I did spend a whole lot of time and effort helping them rebuild. That was good for New York. It was good for the economy, and it was a way to rebuke the terrorists who had attacked our country.
You could almost hear her political minions plotting earlier in the day…
So did you see those terror attacks in France?
Terrible, yes awful.
So how can we use this to our advantage?
She should imply aiding and abetting Wall Street criminality = fighting terrorism!
Brilliant strategy guys.
What’s even more interesting is to compare what Hillary said last night to what she stated as a New York Senator in 2008 in the midst of the banker bailout debate. Specifically, as the battle for TARP was raging, she admitted on radio:

Violent Brawl Breaks Out in Detroit Classroom — Only One of the Fighters Is a Student
At Detroit’s Mackenzie Elementary-Middle School, one science classroom was turned into a wrestling ring.
This fight was not the usual fisticuffs between the stereotypical duo of disagreeing teenagers. Instead, this brawl happened between a female student and her teacher.
According to WJBK-TV, the teacher, Ms. Burns, got upset because students were throwing paper at her. But when a student allegedly called Burns a “bitch,” the teacher lost control.
Burns believed that student to be seventh-grader Diamonique Singleton, despite Singleton’s denial that she ever called the teacher any name.

Democrat: 'ISIS Isn't Necessarily Evil'
Minnesota candidate ends campaign after defending terrorist group
A Democrat running for a seat in Minnesota’s state legislature was forced to end his campaign after he tweeted over the weekend that “ISIS isn’t necessarily evil,” according to Minnesota’s Star Tribune.
Dan Kimmel was running as a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party to unseat an incumbent Republican from the state House in 2016 but was asked to fold operations by party leaders after he was unable to defend comments made on Saturday night.
“ISIS isn’t necessarily evil,” wrote Kimmel on his now inactive Twitter account. “It is made up of people doing what they think is best for their community. Violence is not the answer, though.”

Why Hillary Won’t Be Indicted
On stage at the Democratic presidential debate, all three candidates scoffed at the idea that Hillary might be indicted for destroying evidence of wrongdoing while she was secretary of state. They bolstered each other, expressed dismay that they even had to address the topic of “the emails,” pivoted, changed the subject, and it was obvious from audience reaction that their side of the country was done with all 30,000 smoking guns. Unfortunately for them, the FBI investigation is not done.
Even a cursory glance at statutes Hillary might have violated by deliberately wiping out so many records shows a far darker tale, her 11 hours of congressional testimony exacerbates it because the inconsistencies don’t bode well for her, and the emails revealed so far look very bad. Go Google “laws Hillary broke,” the legwork has been done for you, it’s serious, not make-believe.
But she’ll end up OK, even though so many people want justice. Why?
1. Because She’s Guilty.
And guilt has nothing to do with it any longer. This is America, and rule of law no longer rules here, sorry. Look—you don’t even need to be constitutionally eligible to run for president under Article II to run—no one vets candidates for the office (I’ll write about that soon). Hillary has been caught red-handed. It doesn’t matter to her supporters, and her detractors don’t count to the “news” media. Her team controls the mainstream sycophant media, they set the narrative, that’s what controls. Guilt? You must be a dreamer.
2. Because She’s Running For President.
And the Democrats have no bench. If Hillary is taken out (of the game, that is), the Democrats have no one. As appealing as Bernie Sanders might be to the fringy loudmouths who yell out to him, America is just not going to put a socialist in the White House. Yet. O’Malley is milquetoast and Gore isn’t batting. The Clintons have managed to quash any serious opposition, maintaining a one-party state within their monolithic party, so it’s Hillary or the highway. She’s unindictable.

A big financial hit for the Clean Power Plan? Study claims price hike in 47 states
Critics of the Environmental Protection Agency‘s Clean Power Plan say the new regulation will cost up to $292 billion and potentially raise electricity prices in 47 states.
“States should be braced to pay higher costs,” said Laura Sheehan, senior vice president for communications for theAmerican Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity. “Consumers only lose in the Clean Power Plan.”
The numbers came from NERA Economic Consulting, a firm based in Boston that said it used state-of-the-art economic modeling to get its results.
In an email to Watchdog.org, EPA officials disagreed with the NERA study, which was funded by the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, which is dead-set against the Clean Power Plan.
“EPA has not reviewed this report,” the agency email said. “EPA’s extensive analysisshows that the CPP is effective, achievable and affordable.”
EPA has estimated the CPP will cost $8.4 billion but will deliver climate and health benefits worth an estimated $34 billion to $54 billion per year in 2030.
But NERA’s numbers say the costs will be much higher by the time the CPP is fully effective — between 2022 and 2033.

France’s answer to terrorism: The Law of Suspects
On April 5, 1793, decorated French military commander Charles Dumouriez caused a sensational panic in Paris when he fled the country and defected to Austria.
It had been nearly four years since French peasants stormed the Bastille, the event that historians generally regard as the start of the French Revolution.
And hardly a week had gone by since without some major crisis, emergency, or tragedy in France.
There were regular violent riots across the country– in Paris, other major cities, and even the rural countryside. Widespread massacres were commonplace.
And given that one of the key goals of France’s new revolutionary government was to eliminate Christianity from the nation, civil war between religious factions broke out as well.
To cap things off, France was under constant threat of foreign invasion.

Montgomery County will do away with high school finals
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County education leaders are moving forward with plans to eliminate high school final exams, despite teachers’ concerns.
The Washington Post reports (http://wapo.st/1kC33NO) the school board backed a proposal to get rid of exams in September, and reaffirmed its decision at a meeting last week.
Starting next school year, 45-minute quarterly assessments will replace two-hour semester exams. Officials say this will mean two more weeks of instructional time a year because there will no longer be special exam weeks when teaching stops.

Three Days After Savage Terror Attacks on Paris, Obama Says the Strategy Against ISIS Is Not Changing ... Wake Up, Mr. President!
The Paris attacks signal a new Islamist terror strategy.
WALL STREET JOURNAL - President Obama on Sunday promised to “redouble” U.S. efforts against Islamic State, which shows he isn’t deaf to the political impact of Friday’s murderous assault in Paris. But why should anyone believe him? After years of dismissing the rising terror threat, Mr. Obama needs an epiphany if he doesn’t want to be remembered as the President who allowed radical Islam to spread and prosper.
“It is an act of war that was waged by a terrorist army, a jihadist army, by Daesh [the Arab name for Islamic State], against France,” said French President François Hollande on Saturday, in words that met the moment. Contrast that to Mr. Obama, who on Friday morning told ABC News that “we have contained” Islamic State. Some are saying Mr. Obama is guilty of bad timing, but the truth is worse: The remark is what he believes, or at least what he has wanted Americans to believe.

NO MORE WARNINGS
A few years ago someone, (and we all probably know who) kept sending in comments threatening the life of the President. That very same person then called the Secret Service claiming I was publishing those threats.
I then got a call from the Secret Service asking about the comments. I told them that yes, we had been receiving them but that we moderate all comments and rejected every single one of them. We actually created a direct contact with the Secret Service in which I immediately published an article letting everyone know that IF someone ever does it again I will immediately give the Federal Government permission to research who it is.
Between yesterday and today we are receiving a multitude of such comments, including the Vice President and other elected officials. I still have their business card and I am forwarding them each and every threatening comment.
My suggestion to this individual, keep it up and there will be one less pain in the rear commenter.

The Road to Middle East Perdition
From reset to the Iran deal, Obama’s mistakes are so comprehensive they almost look deliberate.
How did Vladimir Putin — with his country reeling from falling oil prices, possessing only a second-rate military, in demographic free-fall, and suffering from an array of international sanctions — find himself the new play-maker of the Middle East?
Putin’s ascendency was not foreordained. It followed a series of major U.S. miscalculations and blunders of such magnitude that it almost seems they must have been deliberate.
What exactly was our road to perdition in the Middle East?
1. Reset with Putin
When Barack Obama came into office, the outgoing Bush administration had crafted a moderate response to Putin’s aggression in Ossetia. The U.S. had made missile-defense agreements with the Czech Republic and Poland. Some Georgian forces were airlifted by the U.S. from Afghanistan back home. Indeed, at the time, many liberals complained that America was too soft on Putin. Perhaps. But the Obama administration entered office claiming the exact opposite, suggesting that the Bush pushback was part of a needless American-caused estrangement from Russia.
Pushing the plastic reset button was Hillary Clinton’s sad gesture signaling Putin and his team that Bush was gone, that a new, more receptive administration was in power — and thus that relations must naturally improve. Putin was somewhat perplexed, given that he knew Russia was to blame for the new estrangement. Naturally, then, he saw the Obama–Clinton reset grandstanding as more critical of America’s past behavior than of Russia’s present aggression — a fact that fueled Putin’s further calculations that he could safely move into Crimea and Ukraine.

Will West Virginia become the 26th right-to-work state?
Lawmakers may be in a race this winter to see whether West Virginia or neighboring Kentucky becomes the 26th right-to-work state.
The Republicans who control both houses of the West Virginia Legislature appear likely to introduce a right-to-work bill — which would let workers choose whether to pay labor unions — in January.
Because the Legislature could override a veto with a simple majority in each house, Republicans could make West Virginia a right-to-work state by March even if Democrats voted in lockstep against it.
West Virginia’s economy suggests state labor laws are in desperate need of reform. From January 2011 through August, West Virginia’s private-sector job growth ranked dead last among the 50 states.
Though recent Environmental Protection Agency rules crippling the coal industry have made things worse, slow job growth in West Virginia is nothing new; from January 1995 through August, the state’s private-sector job growth ranked 44th.
In a September poll, West Virginia MetroNews found 60 percent support for right-to-work among likely voters.

Why Hillary and Obama Prefer Islam to Christianity
On Tuesday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the American woman most responsible for the current refugee crisis in the Middle East, blasted Republicans for not wanting to accept unvetted Syrian Muslim refugees in the aftermath of last week’s Paris terror attacks.
She tweeted:
We’ve seen a lot of hateful rhetoric from the GOP. But the idea that we’d turn away refugees because of religion is a new low. -H
— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) November 17, 2015
This, to be sure, is odd. Hillary decrying hateful rhetoric smacks of irony – she despises Republicans so much that she labeled them her enemies during the first Demoratic debate. Furthermore, Hillary is no fighter for religious freedom. In April, she told the Women in the World Summit that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” to allow for abortion. And in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s egregious same-sex marriage decision in June, Hillary explicitly called for the government to force churches to sanction homosexuality, explaining, “Our work won’t be finished until every American can not only marry, but live, work, pray, learn and raise a family free from discrimination and prejudice.” Pray – as in attend church “free from discrimination and prejudice.”

Obama says GOP incitement on Syria refugees 'needs to stop'
MANILA, Philippines (AP) - President Barack Obama lashed out Wednesday at Republicans who insist on barring Syrian refugees from entering the U.S., deeming their words offensive and insisting "it needs to stop."
"Apparently they're scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America," Obama said.
Mocking GOP leaders for thinking they're tough, Obama said overblown rhetoric from Republicans could be a potent recruitment tool for the Islamic State group. He insisted the U.S. process for screening refugees for possible entry into the U.S. is rigorous and said the U.S. doesn't make good decisions "based on hysteria" or exaggerated risk.
"We are not well served when in response to a terrorist attack we descend into fear and panic," the president said.

Baltimore homicide rates spike
BALTIMORE —Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is on the defensive as the city's pace of homicides shows no sign of easing, despite her decision to switch police commissioners in July.
The mayor cited the spike in homicides following the death of Freddie Gray for her decision to remove then-Commissioner Anthony Batts. But months later and with new leadership in the Baltimore Police Department, the pace has barely declined.
Not since 1999 has Baltimore seen a homicide number as high as it stands now at 305, and there are still nearly six weeks left in the year.
The spike started after the death of Gray, who died in April after allegedly being injured in police custody.
Through April 21 the city recorded 62 homicides, which is a daily rate of .56, or one every two days. Then came the spike. From April 22 through July 8, there were 93 homicides, which is a daily rate of 1.19.

FBI Confiscates Chicago City Council IG's Computers
Days before the Chicago City Council's internal watchdog departed his post Monday, the FBI came to his office and picked up his computers and the bulk of his files, Legislative Inspector General Faisal Khan said.
The action came as the result of a subpoena asking Khan to appear before a grand jury last Thursday and bring "all documents ... concerning any investigation referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation." Khan said that he instead agreed with the FBI on a date and time to pick up the records.
Khan would not specify the nature of the FBI's work but did say that during his time in office he had referred matters that "are criminal in nature" to outside agencies, including the FBI, the Illinois attorney general, the U.S. attorney's office and the IRS.
"I don't know if and when these cases will result in charges," Khan said. "I simply would like to see them resolved appropriately, and then the public can see what exactly the (office of legislative inspector general) worked on and what the results of those investigations are."

Inside small-town Louisiana feud that led to a 6-year-old boy’ police killing
For years, people in the tiny Louisiana town of Marksville watched the feud between their mayor and local judge like some kind of daytime soap opera, with varying degrees of frustration and amusement.
Then came the Nov. 3 shooting that killed a 6-year-old boy. Suddenly, the petty small-town bickering began looking more tragically sinister.
Why in the world, residents ask, were deputy marshals — whose main job is serving court papers for the judge — out there chasing cars and shooting up suspects? How did one of the deputies — who had been charged twice for aggravated rape and racked up a string of lawsuits accusing him of using excessive force — even get hired? And how did a speck of a town like Marksville wind up with a shadow police force on its streets?
“It’s pretty clear to me that if this feud didn’t exist, those marshals wouldn’t have been there that day,” said one former city official and resident of more than three decades who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing a gag order in the case.
“We’ve watched the both of them fight for years. . . . But I don’t think anyone imagined something so petty would lead to something so tragic.”

'Look Where You're Going, Biker'
Worried that bicyclists who chat, send messages or listen to music on smartphones are creating a danger, a number of cities have banned cyclists from using hand-held cellphones or texting while riding. And several states prohibit bicyclists from using headphones or earplugs.
The efforts to reduce the risk to cyclists, pedestrians and motorists come as cities are trying to become more bike-friendly, and people increasingly turn to electronic devices to communicate and navigate.
“If they want to share the road, they have to share the responsibility as well,” said Massachusetts state Rep. Steven Howitt, a Republican, who has introduced a bill that would prohibit bicyclists from wearing headphones.
Bicycle advocates say cyclists should use common sense and not use hand-held electronic devices at all when riding. Nor should bikers use headphones if they are distracting. But advocates also say there’s no evidence that such use has resulted in deaths or serious injuries, and question whether creating laws or slapping fines on cyclers makes sense.
“There’s a huge difference between distracted driving that kills someone and distracted biking that doesn’t,” said Peter Wilborn, founder of Bike Law, a network of personal injury lawyers that focuses on cycling issues. “I don’t think we need laws specifically for this.”

Wayne Knapp Just Resigned From Pittsville Town Council
Wayne Knapp is currently at Town Hall putting in his resignation from the Town Council.
As we had stated last night, Wayne has been serving for years on the Pittsville Town Council, claiming he is a resident of Pittsville.
Now that he has been elected as a write in in Delmar, he suddenly changed his address from Pittsville to Delmar. One way or the other, he has either served in Pittsville illegally or he is claiming to be a Delmar resident, perhaps illegally.
You see, Wayne was elected two years ago in November onto the Pittsville Council. IF he continues to claim he is qualified to be on the Delmar Council, you must be a Delmar resident for two years. That would mean that within 5 days of the Pittsville election he had to have changed his address to Delmar and immediately resign, according to the Charter. That did not happen. In fact, he was at last Monday's Pittsville Council Meeting as a Council Member.
As if Pittsville hasn't been in the public spot light enough recently with an alleged embezzlement that goes to trial December 1, 2015. It's been reported that other Pittsville Council Members have sworn that Wayne is a resident of Pittsville as this topic has come to their attention quite often.
Delmar needs to do their homework on this matter as no matter how you look at it there are some major ethic violations at hand.

Products can help cheat on urine tests
BALTIMORE —Many employers count on drug testing to screen workers, and drug counselors rely on it to screen clients, but some say a growing market of over-the-counter products makes it easier to cheat
A WBAL-TV 11 News intern was sent into a store to buy something that could help cheat a drug test. He spent $20 and came out with XStream, which is one of many synthetic urine products on the market.
The manufacturer calls it a novelty item, not intended for unlawful use, and claims it has the same characteristics as real human urine.
"It should be a concern for anybody that has to test urine for drug analysis," said Israel Cason, who is the president and founder of I Can't, We Can, a drug recovery center in Baltimore's Park Heights neighborhood.
