This explains a lot!

  1. The diagram is wrong. It indicates the man came in, went to the end of an aisle, turned around covered ground he had already been to, to get to the next aisle. This would not happen. The man would have checked both sides of the aisle and on getting to the end of the aisle, would have just stepped to the next aisle as he searched for his next item. The diagram shows at least 150 unnecessary steps in the process.

  2. Agree! Wasted steps and time backtracking those aisles.

  3. The bottom one should reflect that not always is something purchased either.

  4. Men go into a store to look for a certain item, buy it and leave. Women like to look around at all the options and sometimes buy it. She may even come back later after checking out other stores and buy something from the first store.
