Montgomery County decided to close schools on an important Muslim holiday, Eid al-Adha, starting next year. The Frederick County school system is in the final stages of setting the school calendar without recognizing that holiday, or another major day for Muslims, Eid al-Fitr.
Eid al-Adha occurs during the lunar month that includes the hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. Eid al-Fitr is the first day of the month after Ramadan’s month of fasting, and it is of particular importance, said Dr. Syed Haque, president of the Frederick County Muslim Council.

They should simply excuse those who celebrate those holidays. You know, just like thay did back in the olden days when you & I went to school. The Jews had their holy days & we had our Christian ones.

DeleteMontgomery County school officials are opening up a can of worms for every special interest groups...when they come to America they know we are a Christian nation that allows all religions to worship as they choose...we should not be developing laws and rules for these people...they should abide by OUR laws or go back where they came from...why, why, why do we continue to give in to these people...we will regret it...Muslims need to take off work or school as they please to celebrate their holidays...as a Christian I don't need to take off, because I could care less about holidays that do not recognize our Lord and savior Jesus Christ...

Montgomery County is loaded with Libtards so they will do anything that won't "offend" anyone. Dumba$$es!!
By the way Montgomery County has one of the largest minority majorities in the country. That means that the small group of Democrats and Republicans have to pay for the education of a majority of minorities. ie. Muslims and Mexicans. See what is happening in our country. There are more people in Montgomery County Maryland receiving benefits than there are paying taxes.
