You can go to Food Lion any day and see more than one car sitting in the fire lane. NEVER see anything being done about it. I've watched people actually get frustrated waiting for room to park their own car in the lane. Walk a few feet people, it won't kill you. Should an emergency occur and the responders can't get to you, that could kill you....
People caught parking in fire lanes should be shot on sight. Most are just arrogant and think they do not have to follow the rules. Same ones who pull to the front of lines or do not merge on roads until they pass all the cars on their way to the fire.
It is impossible to be giving tickets when the P A police, (I am assuming) are inside the Police Department. Where else would they be when their cars are parked 24/7 in front of the Police Dept, blocking one lane of traffic. A traffic hazzard on that blind curve IMO.
I also see Princess Anne Town vehicles parked in front of the Police Department. Apparently town employees cannot leave their vehicles parked in the town office parking lot and walk half a block.
It not like there is no parking lot at the Police Department.. Perhaps if the Department parked the unused "equipment" elsewhere, (maybe out back of the PD) there would be more spaces to park their cars. One suggestion is tear down that white bungalow, on Manokin Ave, growing black mold and turn it into additional parking for the P D. Hey P A Commissioners do you remember purchasing that house in 2006 removing it from the tax rolls?

ReplyDeleteYour going to die in food lion because a car is parked in fire lane? First responders can walk 3 ft around to car.

Fire lanes are for fire engines to gain access to the roof or fire department connections.

Check out the Twilly center Dollar store. Those patrons are too lazy and stupid to park in a actual parking space!
ReplyDeleteOK then. Start giving citations to delivery vehicles such as Pepsi, Budweiser, Tasty Cake, etc.
