Jim Ireton's Road/Sidewalk To Nowhere
Now if you don't know what or where we're talking about, this brand new sidewalk and curbing is in one of the worst neighborhoods in Salisbury. When I first heard of this and its location I though, WHAT, WHY!
Now all of you who live and work in Salisbury know just how bad YOUR sidewalks and curbing are, yet your current Mayor and Councilman hopeful quietly placed this sidewalk to nowhere and I think you'll agree, it's a smack in the taxpayers face. There was NO sidewalk here to start with and it runs along the railroad tracks for blocks.
Do you people really want a guy like this anywhere near your pocketbooks and wallets? Tomorrow you go to the polls and cast your votes. THINK HARD about what you've had for the past 6 years with Ireton in charge and know it will never end as long as YOU don't make that difference.
Remember, parking lots, (2 of them) sold for $225,000.00. The old Fire Station for $70,000.00. Feldman's for $5,000.00. Salisbury University inundating Downtown taking properties off the tax roll. The Old Mall still sitting there with no progress. The $140,000,000.00 Waste Water Treatment Plant. Swimming in the Wicomico River in 10 years. Let's not forget the new Rain Tax.
Ireton already conned all of you when it comes to the Landlords in Salisbury. He wants you to think he is against them, yet he did nothing to stop the slumlord portion of that Industry, until weeks before an election. Are you really going to buy his con job again?
It just goes on and on. Now you have a sidewalk to nowhere and this proves the man has absolutely NO business experience. Instead, he wants to show improvements in his district area to make it look like he actually cares. Just more talking points.
You and I both know, this neighborhood above is going nowhere any time soon. I can't wait to see how this election turns out. Common sense says very few people like Jim Ireton but you'll always have to wonder, (should he actually get elected) will the electronic ballots fail the citizens of Salisbury once again?
I would like to know why the work on South 13 has stopped--the remainder portion near Giant etc has completely stopped,,.. WHY? anyone know?
ReplyDeleteGod I wish Ireton would GO AWAY !!!!
ReplyDeleteHis failed policies and his backwards mentality have done nothing for Salisbury. The City is worse off under his "leadership" than it EVER HAS BEEN.
JIM IRETON.....GTFO HERE!!!!
He doesn't care its not HIS $$$
ReplyDeleteJoe blast this Pos ireton all day for elections.
ReplyDeleteYep everyone knowa he rigged that election and he had your signs taken down if ireton gets elected Again the bye bye Bury.
ReplyDeleteAt leaat the homeless won't trip on there way to shore up..
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it have been better to have left the roads alone than tearing them up and not fixing them?
ReplyDeleteJoe, I know of no one who is voting for Ireton, but you have it right- as long as there is electronic voting, you don't have to show I.D., you don't have to prove that you're not dead, the voting records NEVER get purged, POS like Ireton will always get elected. I certainly hope this changes tomorrow, but I'm not real hopeful.
ReplyDeleteNow what can we do about mayor?
ReplyDeletesidewalks are completely useless in that whole neighborhood anyway
ReplyDeleteeveryone walks right down the middle of the street and won't move for vehicles
8:06 AM, Nothing. He didn't have to even put the first sign out - he's in like Flynn. Only thing we can do, I guess, is do a petition to get him out as soon as he gets in.
ReplyDeleteIreton and Day are both made from the same cloth. They both look at you smile, shake your hand, pat your pat, then put the knife in your wallets! Neither of them tells the truth, both are cheats, and liars.
ReplyDeleteIf the black community thinks for one second, Ireton cares about them they are crazy beyond belief. The only thing Ireton cares about is getting them out to vote for him and his kind so they can get the votes, get back on the council and screw EVERYONE over for another term in office. They benefit by getting all the perks, the backroom money deals, money in their pockets, and blacks, whites, and everyone else all loose.
Don't vote these clowns into office even if you have to write in someone else's name do it and keep the trash out off the council.
Together, we can.
They dont even use the sidewalks on that side of town most of the time they are lolly gagging in the street.
ReplyDeleteFor Salisbury's sake, I hope Ireton does not get in. What a joke. I heard he was telling people he was running for council because he couldn't get things done as mayor because of the council. When he was running for mayor, it was because you had to be mayor to get things done (remember, he had been on council before for a short time).
ReplyDeleteSo, which is it, Jimbo? Sounds like you just cannot get things done, at least nothing good. Landlords? You joke! You spent a lot of time making life miserable for Cohen and Campbell, defaming them at every turn, even cozy up to landlords for your failed attorney petition with your co-conspirator Laura Mitchell. Then you come back like the fake you are right before an election to attack the landlords.
Good luck to Mazullo. Don't know if he is connected to the landlords or not, but he has to be better than Liarton.
Jake Day, current council President pushed this forward on the agenda and the lemmings voted his way. This is all to benefit the Knorr brothers who will be opening some sort of business in the old train station. Not only are sidewalks going in but they are replacing the old sewer pipes and electric also. This does not only fall on Liarton's shoulders, it falls on the council that approved it. He can only do what they will allow. Just wait until that POS Jake the Fake Day gets in office. It has been said, you ain't seen nothing yet baby.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it will continue under Day.
ReplyDeleteAll these local election posts should be pinned at the top until the election is over.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, as usual, Joe!

This IS ALL on Liarton! This did not go to council and most knew nothing about it until a neighboring business complained. Of course, Jimbo did nothing about it because that business doesn't contribute to his campaign.
I'm writing in Terry Cohen for mayor.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs to write in Terry Cohen or Debbie Campbell for Mayor!
ReplyDelete4:19 and 6:22, great idea!
ReplyDeleteI miss both those women. Class, brains and integrity.
